Abstract

This study aims to identify the elements and concepts of mathematics contained in the game of tikam bana. In addition, the traditional game of tikam bana must also be introduced so as not to be left behind by the progress of the times, where children have begun to be eroded by some modern technology. The method used was ethnography with the subject of five class VIII students at SMP Pondok Pesantren Assalam Kota Pontianak. The data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. This technique is to obtain information and data about the elements of mathematics contained in the tikam bana game performed by students. Data obtained or collected by researchers from various existing sources. Then the data obtained will be drawn conclusions through the data triangulation process. The results of the research were obtained in the form of questionnaires and assessments carried out while playing by giving test questions on each of the deepest numbers in the plot of tikam bana. The mathematical elements contained in the game of tikam bana are flat, namely square and trapezoid. The concept of mathematics in this game is the concept of integers known at the time of assessment and giving test questions, while the concept of chance is known when doing hompimpa to determine the order of players.

Abstract

LKPD (Ethnomathematics Based Learner Worksheets) has great potential to improve the quality of mathematics learning. However, many LKPDs made by teachers in schools have not been related to the surrounding culture. This article aims to present an initial overview of the development of ethnomathematics-based LKPD. The model used in this research is the Plomp model which consists of 3 stages, namely Prelimenary research (preliminary analysis), Prototyping phase (development or prototyping), and Assessment phase. Due to limited funds and time, this research was carried out only up to the Preliminary Analysis stage. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 05 Sungai Kakap. The first data was obtained from interviews with students, and the second data was obtained from the results of a questionnaire distributed to students. The results of the needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, and analysis of the characteristics of students can be concluded that, it is necessary to develop Ethnomathematics-based LKPD on the Quadrangle and Triangle Material, which contains student activities in finding concepts that begin with a problem related and close to the daily lives of students, as well as with language and presentation according to the characteristics of grade VII junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of quiz questions for student-level students, organized by the Mathematics Education Study Program, FTIK IAIN Pontianak together with the Mathematics Education Student Association. The evaluation was carried out based on aspects of material, construction, language, and Bloom's Taxonomy. The mathematics materials presented in the competition include Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, Trigonometry. Data were taken from documents of questions, answers, and participant scores. The analysis showed that the majority of questions were of good quality, although some aspects, such as the balance of cognitive levels in Bloom's Taxonomy, needed improvement. This study is expected to be the basis for the development of similar competitions in the future

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of mathematical connection skills of students on the application material of rows and series in economics and business, and analyze the factors that influence it. This research is a descriptive research with a survey form. The research subjects were 1st semester students of IAIN Pontianak's Sharia Economics Study Program who had taken the course on the application of arithmetic ranks and series in economics and business.  The procedure in this research consists of 3 stages, namely: 1) Preparation stage, 2) Implementation stage, 3) The final stage. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical connection skills of sharia economics students of IAIN Pontianak on the application material of rows and series in economics and business still need to be improved. Some students were able to answer all the questions correctly, but most were only able to answer some of the questions or none of them were correct. This shows that students' understanding of this material is very diverse. Some factors that may contribute to this result include: learning approach, lack of practice, perception of mathematics, and limited resources. To overcome this problem, various efforts are needed from both lecturers and students. Thus, it is hoped that students can be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work that require critical and analytical thinking skills.

Abstract

Literasi matematika merupakan kemampuan untuk memahami, menggunakan dan menerapkan konsep matematika dalam konteks budaya. Hal ini melibatkan pemahaman tentang konsep matematika dasar seperti angka, jumlah, pengurangan, perkalian, dan pembagian, serta dapat menerapkan pada budaya yang ada. Literasi matematika juga melibatkan kemampuan untuk memecahkan masalah, berpikir kritis, dan membuat keputusan berdasarkan data dan analisis. Pelajaran matematika yang diajarkan di sekolah kurang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, cara penyajian pelajaran matematika yang monoton dari konsep abstrak menuju ke kongkrit, tidak membuat anak senang belajar. Etnomatematika merupiakan suatu ilmu yang memunculkan kearifan budaya sehingga mampu memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa tentang matematika yang berkaitan dengan budaya, yaitu meriam karbit. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen desain pre-tes post-tes (one group pretest – posttest design). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar observasi, dan soal tes kemampuan literasi matematis berbasis etnomatematika meriam karbit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematika antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika meriam karbit. Hal ini juga terlihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 43, dan hasil rata- rata postestnya yaitu 70. Dari hasil tersebut dapat dapat dilihat hasil postest lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil pretest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika melalui pendekatan analisis regresi. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif dipandang sebagai salah satu kompetensi penting bagi calon pendidik matematika dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Tadris Matematika IAIN Pontianak semester VI sebanyak 16 Mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dan tes berpikir kreatif yang telah divalidasi ahli. Variabel prediktor yang dianalisis meliputi motivasi belajar, self-efficacy, gaya belajar, dan penguasaan konsep matematika, sedangkan variabel kriterium adalah kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Data dianalisis dengan uji regresi berganda untuk mengetahui kontribusi masing-masing faktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar, self-efficacy, gaya belajar, dan penguasaan konsep matematika berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh aspek kognitif, tetapi juga faktor afektif dan metakognitif. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan dasar bagi dosen untuk merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan berorientasi pada pengembangan kreativitas mahasiswa.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode permainan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi perkalian pecahan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest design, yaitu penelitian yang hanya menggunakan  satu kelas kontrol tanpa ada kelas pembanding. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 Mahasiswa PGMI IAIN Pontianak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah tes awal dan tes akhir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisa data mengenai perbandingan nilai statistik menunjukkan bahwa jumlah sampel 33 orang, nilai pretest untuk nilai terendah adalah 44,44 dan nilai tertinggi 77,77. Nilai posttest untuk nilai terendah 77,77 dan nilai tertinggi 100, rata-rata pretest 60,26 dan rata-rata posttest 87,20 serta standar deviasi pretest 9,3 sedangkan deviasi posttess 8,2. Dan juga berdasarkan hasil penggunaan statistik inferensial, peneliti menggunakan teknik statistik t (uji-t). Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 10,86 dan ttabel sebesar 3,690 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil pengujian bahwa thitung ternyata memenuhi kriteria pengujian thitung > ttabel. Dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan H1 di terima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan Metode permainan terhadap Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Pada Materi Perkalian Pecahan.

Abstract

Berkembangnya teknologi digital menuntut inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika agar lebih interaktif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital serta belum terintegrasinya budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika di SD Swasta Pesantren (SDSP) Assalam Pontianak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media flipbook berbasis etnomatematika budaya lokal Kota Pontianak pada materi bangun datar kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi analisis kebutuhan yang mencakup lima tahap, yaitu analisis awal, analisis karakteristik peserta didik, analisis tugas, analisis konsep, dan perumusan tujuan pembelajaran. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan guru matematika serta analisis perangkat pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran masih didominasi buku cetak, sementara media digital belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Peserta didik lebih tertarik pada pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dan membutuhkan media yang kontekstual dengan budaya lokal. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan flipbook berbasis etnomatematika dipandang relevan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi antara teknologi digital dan kearifan budaya lokal sebagai upaya mewujudkan pembelajaran matematika yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan berkarakter.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe: the numerical ability in the topic of three-variable linear equation systems among Grade X students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak; the mathematical problem-solving ability in the same topic among the same group of students; and the relationship between numerical ability and mathematical problem-solving ability in that topic. This study employs a correlational research design with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was proportional sampling, selecting 30% of the total population, resulting in a sample of 108 students. The data collection techniques used were tests and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study indicate a significant positive relationship between numerical ability and mathematical problem-solving ability. The strength of the relationship between the two abilities among Grade X students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak is 24.0%.
