Abstract

Peningkatan produksi olahan hasil perikanan tidak disertai dengan optimalisasi pengembangan produk karena bertumpu pada pengeringkan ikan saja di Pulau Kosong Kota Jayapura. Upaya untuk memaksimalkan produk olahan  perikanan dapat dilakukan dengan memperbaiki penampilan produk dan varian, sehingga pembeli berkeinginan membeli lagi produk dengan penampilan baru (dari segi bentuk, ukuran, gaya, kemasan, maupun cita rasa). Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara membuat terobosan lain seperti produk olahan perikanan berbasis nilai tambah. Program ini menggunakan metode PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat diterapkan. Analisa yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan pemberian materi dan demonstrasi dalam pembuatan ragam olahan produk perikanan serta penilaian tampilan dari ragam olahan produk perikanan dengan skala likert dari segi warna, aroma, tekstur dan rasa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kemitraan masyarakat kepada istri-istri nelayan di Pulau Kosong Kota Jayapura dengan memberikan pelatihan dalam pembuatan ragam olahan produk perikanan. Ragam olahan produk perikanan yang dicampur dengan daun kelor seperti nugget ikan kelor (green fish nugget), samosa ikan kelor (green fish samosa) dan rolade ikan kelor (green fish roll). Selanjutnya, melakukan penilaian terhadap tampilan warna, aroma, tekstur dan rasa dari nugget ikan kelor (green fish nugget), samosa ikan kelor (green fish samosa) dan rolade ikan kelor (green fish roll). Mitra yang menilai produk olahan ikan yang dicampur dengan daun kelor sangat setuju untuk dikembangkan dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan yang bergizi bagi Masyarakat yang ada di Pulau Kosong Kota Jayapura.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemandirian ekonomi istri nelayan di Koya Timur melalui pelatihan pembuatan tahu tuna sebagai produk olahan bernilai tambah. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Peserta dilibatkan secara aktif dalam praktik pembuatan tahu tuna, mulai dari persiapan bahan, pencampuran, pencetakan, hingga pengukusan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan terhadap pemahaman peserta, dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 51,8 dan post-test 82,9, serta N-gain sebesar 64,6 yang termasuk kategori cukup efektif. Produk tahu tuna yang dihasilkan dinilai bergizi tinggi, bercita rasa baik, serta berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai usaha rumahan berbasis potensi lokal.Secara keilmuan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi pada literatur pemberdayaan perempuan di sektor perikanan, khususnya dalam konteks diversifikasi produk berbasis ikan yang dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah hasil tangkapan. Implikasi praktis dari kegiatan ini adalah tersedianya model pelatihan sederhana dan aplikatif yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah pesisir lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Abstract. Stunting is a global public health concern, including in Indonesia. The Indonesian government establishes a target for stunting prevalence reduction every year. The government is aiming for a stunting prevalence of 18% in 2025. The government certainly requires policy recommendations to achieve this target. Clustering analysis can be used to identify provinces with similar characteristics or those that still require special attention based on stunting related indicators. There are several clustering methods, including K-Means and Self-Organizing Map (SOM). This study aims to classify provinces in Indonesia based on indicators related to stunting and to compare the performance of two clustering methods. Based on the obtained data, it was found that the data contains outliers. The best clustering method can be determined using the Silhouette Coefficient (SC) and Davies Bouldin Index (DBI). The results showed that the highest SC value, 0.62, was obtained using the SOM method and the lowest DBI, 0.75, was obtained also using SOM method. Two clusters were formed using the SOM method. Cluster 1 consisted of 36 provinces in Indonesia. Cluster 2 consisted of 2 provinces, namely Highland Papua and Central Papua.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Stunting is a condition where toddlers experience prolonged malnutrition, resulting in growth disturbances manifested by shorter height compared to age standards. Stunting receives significant attention from the government because it not only affects a child's height but can also impact cognitive functions and lead to health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health issues. In 2022, stunting in Indonesia reached 22.6%, a figure that remains high compared to the target of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which is 14%. Papua Province is among the top three provinces with a high prevalence of stunted toddlers, reaching 34.6%. Papua Province consists of several districts, one of which is Keerom District with a prevalence of stunted toddlers at 25.9%. ne of the influencing factors is the community's lack of awareness about stunting, including its symptoms, impacts, and prevention methods. Therefore, a team conducted awareness campaigns through lectures with the assistance of posters/leaflets as media to village chiefs and several community figures in one of the districts in Keerom District, namely Yaffi District. The team conducted the campaign in 7 villages in Yaffi District, namely Yabanda Village, Jifanggri Village, Yuruf Village, Amgotro Village, Fefenumbun Village, Akarinda Village, and Manggoapi Village. The total participants in the campaign were 73 household. Village chiefs and community figures showed great enthusiasm in participating in the campaign and expressed hope that the campaign would continue to reach the broader community.  Keywords: Stunting; Malnutrition; Awareness Campaign; Keerom District; Yaffi District   ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan kondisi balita kurang gizi dalam jangka waktu yang lama sehingga mengakibatkan gangguan pertumbuhan berupa tinggi badan lebih pendek dari standar usia. Stunting mendapatkan perhatian yang besar dari pemerintah karena stunting tidak hanya berdampak pada tinggi badan anak tetapi dapat berdampak pada kognitif hingga dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan seperti diabetes, darah tinggi, dan masalah kesehatan lainnya. Pada tahun 2022, stunting di Indonesia mencapai 22,6%. Angka yang masih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan target Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN), yaitu 14%. Provinsi Papua masuk dalam tiga besar provinsi dengan prevalensi balita stunting yang tinggi, yaitu 34,6%. Provinsi Papua terdiri dari beberapa Kabupaten/Kota, salah satunya adalah Kabupaten Keerom yang memiliki prevalensi balita stunting sebesar 25,9%. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi adalah ketidaktahuan masyarakat terhadap stunting mulai dari gejala, dampak, dan cara mencegahnya. Oleh karena itu, tim membuat sosialisasi berupa ceramah dengan bantuan poster/leaflet sebagai media kepada kepala kampung dan beberapa tokoh masyarakat pada salah satu distrik di Kabupaten Keerom, yaitu Distrik Yaffi. Tim melakukan sosialisasi pada 7 kampung di Distrik Yaffi, yaitu Kampung Yabanda, Kampung Jifanggri, Kampung Yuruf, Kampung Amgotro, Kampung Fefenumbun, Kampung Akarinda, dan Kampung Manggoapi. Total peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi adalah 73 rumah tangga. Kepala kampung dan tokoh masyarakat sangat antusias mengikuti sosialisasi dan memberikan harapan bahwa sosialisasi dapat terus dilakukan hingga ketingkat masyakarat. Abstract

Processed products in Hamadi Village only rely on the type of processed fish smoked produced by Fishery Business Actors, namely POKLAHSAR Mama Papua. Efforts to maximize the acceptance of processed fishery products and meet market demands can be done by improving the appearance of the product, so that old buyers want to buy more products with a new appearance both in terms of shape, size, style, packaging, and taste. This can be done by making other breakthroughs such as value-added processed fishery products. This program used PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method is one of the methods that can be applied. After getting pretest and posttest scores, must conduct an analysis to get the score obtained. The analysis used is uji normalitas gain. This test is used to determine the effectiveness of the treatment given. Implementation of community partnership service activities to POKLAHSAR Mama Papua in Hamadi village with providing training in the manufacture of a variety of processed fishery products. A variety of processed fishery products that have been made such as; Meatballs, Shredded Fish, Suir-Suir and Sambal whose meat is from Yellow Fin Tuna (Thunnus albacares). Furthermore, make packaging for a variety of processed fisheries and don't forget to teach partners about the importance of making simple bookkeeping by making pre-test and post test about bookkeeping knowledge. Then socialization about making NIB (Nomor Izin Berusaha) online and training in making social media in marketing a variety of processed fishery products, This is done to increase income POKLAHSAR Mama Papua in Hamadi village.

Abstract

Abstract. Uncertainty in life brings risks that can threaten financial stability, making the existence of insurance crucial for managing such risks. One of the key elements in insurance is the management of claim reserves, which are funds allocated to meet outstanding claim obligations. This study aims to analyze and compare two claim reserve estimation methods, namely the Claim Ratio Method and the Bornhuetter-Ferguson Method, to assess the accuracy of each. The analysis is conducted by calculating claim reserve estimates using both methods based on historical claim data. The data used in this study are simulated data obtained through random sampling using Microsoft Excel. The results show that the Claim Ratio Method produced an estimate of 204,691,130, while the Bornhuetter-Ferguson Method yielded an estimate of 211,097,953. Compared to the Claim Ratio Method, the Bornhuetter-Ferguson Method provides results that are closer to reality, as it takes into account the claim development pattern in more detail, particularly for data with high variability. The study concludes that the choice of estimation method has significant implications for the financial stability of insurance companies. More accurate reserve calculations not only strengthen the solvency and operational efficiency of insurers but also reinforce policyholder trust and confidence in insurance protection. Consequently, the adoption of more robust methods such as the Bornhuetter-Ferguson is recommended, while future research is encouraged to explore alternative or hybrid models that may further improve estimation accuracy in diverse contexts.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga nelayan melalui pemanfaatan hasil tangkapan laut yang bernilai ekonomi rendah menjadi produk olahan bernilai jual tinggi. Salah satu bentuk inovasi yang ditawarkan adalah Green Fish Nugget, yaitu produk olahan nugget berbahan dasar ikan yang dipadukan denga daun kelor, guna meningkatkan kandungan gizinya. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas ekonomi keluarga nelayan melalui pelatihan pembuatan Green Fish Nugget, yaitu produk olahan ikan yang dipadukan dengan sayuran hijau sebagai upaya diversifikasi pangan bergizi dan bernilai jual tinggi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Pulau Kosong, Kota Jayapura, dengan melibatkan 10 istri nelayan sebagai peserta. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, uji organoleptik, serta wawancara dan diskusi evaluatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa persepsi peserta terhadap produk Green Fish Nugget sangat positif. Sebanyak 90% menyatakan sangat menyukai rasa produk, 90% menilai teksturnya lembut dan cocok untuk konsumsi keluarga, dan 80% menunjukkan minat untuk memproduksi secara mandiri sebagai usaha rumah tangga. Selain itu, peserta menilai bahwa bahan baku mudah didapat dan proses pembuatannya relatif sederhana. Kendala utama yang diidentifikasi adalah keterbatasan alat pengemas dan pengetahuan pemasaran. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa Green Fish Nugget berpotensi menjadi alternatif usaha rumahan yang layak dikembangkan oleh istri nelayan. Produk ini tidak hanya meningkatkan nilai tambah ikan lokal, tetapi juga berkontribusi terhadap ketahanan pangan dan pemberdayaan perempuan pesisir. Diperlukan dukungan lanjutan berupa pelatihan kewirausahaan, pemasaran digital, dan fasilitasi peralatan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan usaha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi tahu di Pabrik Tahu Ojo Lali (OLA) dengan memanfaatkan metode program linier, khususnya metode dual simpleks, untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan. Pabrik ini sering menghadapi masalah ketidaksesuaian antara jumlah produksi dan permintaan, yang menyebabkan kerugian akibat penumpukan stok atau kekurangan pasokan. Untuk itu, diperlukan perencanaan yang tepat agar produksi dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar secara efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung di pabrik. Model program linier digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah produksi tahu putih dan tahu susu yang optimal dengan memperhitungkan keterbatasan sumber daya seperti kedelai, cuka, bahan bakar kayu, dan jam kerja. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode dual simpleks dapat menghasilkan keuntungan maksimal sebesar Rp1.642.500 dengan produksi tahu putih sebanyak 3 kg dan tahu susu sebanyak 5,25 kg. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam penerapan metode matematika untuk optimalisasi produksi di sektor industri kecil dan menengah.

Abstract

The partner group, consisting of fishermen's wives in Pulau Kosong, Jayapura City, often assists their husbands, who work as gillnet fishermen, by preserving excess catches. Fish preservation is done by sun-drying the fish on wooden bridges in an open environment, producing dried fish products. However, the group faces challenges, including a lack of skills in hygienic fish processing and limited knowledge of financial management and marketing. This community service program involved socialization and training aimed at increasing the income of demersal and pelagic fish processors. The program employed the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method as the applied solution approach. Activities began with a location survey, followed by training on proper and hygienic packaging techniques and simple bookkeeping. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted for the partners, with results analyzed using the normality gain test to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. Based on the N-Gain Score calculation, a score of 70.83 was obtained, categorized as moderately effective, indicating a significant improvement in the knowledge of fishermen's wives regarding the training materials.

Abstract

Jayapura City is a coastal area that has the potential of marine resources, making it the center of economic activity for fishermen. The fishermen who live in Dock IX consist of two tribes, namely Serui and Buton, who have long been fishing in the waters of Jayapura. The culture of fishermen from both tribes is closely related to an orientation towards the sea. However, this needs to be balanced with the use of environmentally friendly fishing gear so that in the future, the sustainability of fishery resources, especially Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares), can be maintained. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the fishing gear used in the fishing process and the socio-cultural conditions of traditional fishermen in fishing using handlines. Primary and secondary data collection was conducted from March to May 2025 at Dock IX, Tanjung Ria Village, Jayapura City. The social conditions of fishermen were observed in terms of age, education, length of time working as fishermen, and number of dependents in Dok IX, Tanjung Ria Village, Jayapura City. From a cultural perspective, the Buton tribe does not catch fish (as it is not fishing season), so they offer sacrifices by feeding the sea. They believe that by feeding the sea, they will catch a lot of fish. In contrast, the Serui community does not perform rituals (customs) to make offerings in the process of catching fish. They use fiberglass boats, Yamaha engines with a capacity of 15 horsepower, and fish in the waters of Jayapura City, Pasir 6, Papua New Guinea, and even the waters of Sarmi Regency.
