Abstract

This research is motivated by an analysis of risk management in vaname shrimp pond cultivation in Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency. The problems faced by vaname shrimp farmers are caused by several risk factors resulting in changes in production, therefore it is necessary to carry out a risk management analysis in vaname shrimp farming. This research aims to analyze the risks of vaname shrimp pond cultivation in Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency and to identify strategies that can be implemented to overcome the risks of vaname shrimp pond cultivation in Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency. The sampling method is carried out by census or saturated side technique from the total population of pond farmers who have a minimum pond area of 10.000 m2. The total population taken was 20 respondents. The type of data used in this research uses primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method which is measured using z - score analysis to calculate risk probability, and VaR analysis to measure the impact caused. The results of this research show that the source of risk identified is that the risk source for fry has the highest probability, namely 9,1% with a loss impact of IDR 416.540 and a risk status of 3.790.514, a feed probability of 8.3% with a loss impact of IDR 195.433 and a risk status amounting to 1.563.464 and a human resource probability of 7%, with a loss impact of Rp. 135.006 and a risk status of 945.042. The source of risk in quadrant II is fry and feed, in quadrant III the source of risk is labor. The strategies used to handle risk sources are preventive strategies and mitigation strategies. Keywords: Risk, Vaname Shrimp, z - score, VaR, Preventive Strategy, Mitigation Strategy.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Padang Sidimpuan City. This research was carried out becausePadang Sidimpuan City is one of the snakefruit producing cities which is currently developing as afarming commodity. Salak in Padang Sidimpuan City is utilized and developed by every company toprovide added value or profitable prices, one of which is UD Bolu Salak. However, it is felt thatmanaging the supply of raw materials by the company is not optimal, so researchers use theEconomic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to optimize the supply of raw materials in the company. This research aims to analyze the control of the supply of raw materials for salak sponge cake at UDBolu Salak Kenanga, Padang Sidimpuan City, using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The sampling technique was carried out using the purposive sampling method. The research methoduses a quantitative descriptive approach, namely analyzing the control of the supply of raw materialsfor at UD Bolu Salak. The research results show that the company's policy inventory costs are IDR11,400,000.00 for each raw material. This policy is considered not optimal because excess purchasesoften occur which causes wasted costs. On the other hand, using the EOQ method provides moreefficient results. The inventory costs generated by the EOQ method for each raw material are aroundIDR 1,310,000.00 per year, which is much lower than the company's policy. The Safety Stock analysisshows that the need for reserve supplies for wheat flour is 18,400 kg, granulated sugar 3,591.68 kg,snake fruit 3,116.68 kg, and eggs 7,095 squares, which is not accommodated by company policy.Meanwhile, the Reorder Point (ROP) based on the EOQ method occurs at certain minimum inventorylevels, such as 64.64 kg of wheat flour and 32.18 kg of granulated sugar, while company policy doesnot stipulate ROP.Keywords: Inventory Control, Raw Materials, Salak Cake, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), CostEfficiency

Abstract

The study aims to determine the optimal production combination, analyze the amount of profit after optimization, and formulate a follow-up strategy to maintain business sustainability at UD Tahu Jaya Agroindustry in Suka Maju Village, West Binjai District, Binjai City. The analysis method used is Linear Programming with the simplex method and the assistance of POM-QM software for Windows. The results of the study indicate that the actual production combination of UD Tahu Jaya is not optimal. The application of the Linear Programming model produces a production combination that is able to increase business profits without additional production inputs through more efficient resource utilization. Thus, the Linear Programming method is effectively used as a decision-making tool in tofu agroindustry production planning.

Abstract

Soil health is an important aspect of agricultural sustainability because it encompasses the soil's physical, chemical, and biological functions. This service activity aims to increase farmer groups' understanding of  concepts, indicators, and simple methods for recognizing and evaluating soil health as part of the  implementation of PT. Inpola Meka Energi. The activity was held on May 9, 2025, in Lau Gunung Village, Tanah Pinem District, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, using an educational-participatory  approach through the delivery of materials, discussions, introduction to tools, and field observations in the  cocoa plantation area. The material includes 12 soil health indicators grouped into physical, chemical, and  biological aspects, as well as evaluation stages: indicator observation, scoring, use of the Soil Health Card, determination of the Soil Health Index (IKT), identification of limiting factors, and alternative  improvements. The results of the activity demonstrated the implementation of the knowledge transfer  process and field learning, with participants directly recognizing soil conditions. This activity is a form of  CSR based on community capacity building to support sustainable land management.
