Abstract

The aims of this study are to describe and analyze the influence of partial and simultaneous incentives. principal leadership. and motivation toward teacher professionalism in conducting learning activity. This study also examined the effect of incentives. principal leadership through motivation towards teacher professionalism in conducting learning activity. This study belongs to population research by using quantitative method and survey approach. Data collection used in this research was questionnaires which were distributed to 66 teachers. Data analysis that used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the effect of incentive on teacher motivation is 27.04%. Principal leadership affects teacher motivation as much as 17.89%. The effect of incentive and principal leadership on teacher motivation is 52.7%. Meanwhile. incentive does not have a significant effect on teacher professionalism because they only have an effect as much as 1.35%. The effect of principal leadership on teacher professionalism is 62.25%. Motivation does not have a significant effect on teacher professionalism. which is only 2.34%. There is a direct effect of incentive. principal leadership and motivation towards teacher professionalism which is equal to 54.7%. There is no effect of incentive on teacher professionalism through motivation because indirect effect is smaller than the value of direct effect. and also there is no indirect influence of leadership through motivation towards teacher professionalism in conducting learning activity.

Abstract

The quality and the level of Human Resources (HR) hold a very strategic position in an organization. Besides, Human Resources also play an important role in the process of achieving the vision and the mission of an organization. Therefore, it is needed the existence of management consistently and continuously towards Human Resources itself. The purpose of this study is to find out and to analyse; 1) How the planning used in functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency. 2) How the implementation functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency, and 3) How the evaluation offunctional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The type of qualitative research approach used was case study. The data collection process was carried out byobservations, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study showed; 1) the implementation of functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency included the process of analysing the needs, setting goal, training model, determining participant and presenter 2) the implementation of functional education and training program for improving English teacher used full face-to-face pattern of 60 Learning Hours. 3) the evaluation of functional education and traing program for improving English teacher competency showed the improvement of teacher competency which was indicated by the results of post-test at the end of the program. Suggestion for education and training providers is that the management of education and training program should be maximized, especially for the management of supportingfacilitie program, in this case is the provision of close worship place to the training room for timing efficiency.

Abstract

The education quality assurance of Darul Arafah Raya Islamic Boarding School based on TQM is a deserved breakthrough to improve its education quality. This research aims to describe and analyze the Islamic boarding school's quality assurance improvements based on TQM. It is done by involving the whole concerning parties to reach the vision and mission of Darul Arafah Raya Islamic boarding school. This research applied a case study qualitative approach. The data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The research data validity was obtained from triangulation and the researcher’s diligence improvements. The applied analyzing technique was Miles and Huberman interactive model. With a purpose to guarantee the Islamic boarding school's quality, the finding showed that TQM implementations were not applied to all TQM functions. The main focus was only on curriculum quality improvement. Darul Arafah Raya’s TQM implementations did not have specific and structured parts. Its leader had essential roles to involve and empower the whole teams to guarantee the Islamic boarding school's quality based on TQM and with proper managerial skills. It was also crucial to participate in monitoring each activity. Thus, it could support the education customers' necessities (the Islamic students', their representatives or parent, and the surrounding society).

Abstract

Abstrak The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara. This research approach is a qualitative approach with a explorative case study design. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation by eight participants which included the principal, six teachers and an education staff. The results of this study indicate that the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara is (1) planning compensation management objectives, where the main purpose of compensation management planning is for the welfare of teachers and education staff. (2) planning a compensation management strategy, where the specific compensation management strategy is to build a work culture of MEJENG SEKSI to achieve school goals so that teachers and education staff improve work quality. The benefit of this research is to provide insight into management related education compensation management planning in improving the quality of teacher work at the high school level and used as a reference and evaluation materials evaluation material in improving the quality of teacher work. Abstract

Abstract
