Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of study was the influence of trust and organizational culture to intellectual capital and its impact to organizational performance. Data was collected from 109 (21,80%) questionnaires were sent to financial managers in bank and financial institution companies at Bali, and analysis conducted by SEM. The results shows that trust and organizational cultures have an effect negatively and positively to intellectual capital elements. Human capital has an effect positively to customer capital and of structural capital. Customer capital has an effect positively to structural capital. Structural capital has an effect positively to organizational performance.Keywords: intellectual capital, trust, organizational culture, organizational performanceAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh trust dan budaya organisasi terhadap intellectual capital dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja organisasi. Data dikumpulkan dari 109 (21,80%) kuesioner yang dikirimkan kepada manajer keuangan bank dan lembaga keuangan di Bali, dan analisis menggunakan SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa trust dan budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh negatif dan positif terhadap elemen intellectual capital. Human capital berpengaruh positif terhadap customer capital dan structural capital. Customer capital berpengaruh positif terhadap structural capital. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study aims to analyze the determinants of entrepreneurial intention by examining the effects of creativity, self-confidence, entrepreneurial training, subjective norms, entrepreneurial attitude and perceived control. This research was conducted on student majoring in business at private university in Bali with a population of 7,246 people. The sample is 379 and data is collected using a questionnaire that returns 279 with a response rate of 62.56%. Testing the research model using PLS-SEM with WarpPLS 7.0. The results show that creativity, self-confidence can significantly affect entrepreneurial attitude; entrepreneurial training can significantly affect perceived control; subjective norms, entrepreneurial attitude and perceived control can significantly influence entrepreneurial intention. This study finds the role of creativity, self-confidence and entrepreneurial training as determinants of entrepreneurial intention among business students in Bali.

Abstract

Abstract—This study aims to examine the association between intellectual capital— which is described as the interrelationship between human capital, customer capital and structural capital—with organisational performance in supply chain managements of the banks and financial institutions in Bali Province, Indonesia. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire by considering the supply chain process. A total of 500 questionnaires was sent to general managers of banks and financial institutions in Bali Province. A total of 109 questionnaires was returned and analysed (a 21.80% response rate). The analysis was performed using covariance-based structural equation modelling with AMOS 21.0 software. The findings show that human capital is positively significantly associated with customer capital and structural capital. The findings also show that customer capital is positively not significantly associated with structural capital.  Whereas, human capital, customer capital, and structural capital are positively not significantly associated with organisational performance.

Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of human capital empirically, the use of information technology, and internal control on the quality of financial reports. The sample used in this research was saturated, namely 30 BPRs with addresses in Denpasar. This research data is quantitative and was collected using a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is the multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results of this research are that human capital has a positive and significant effect on the quality of financial reports, the use of information technology has a positive and significant effect on the quality of financial reports, and internal control has a positive and significant effect on the quality of financial reports. In addition, this provides implications for future researchers to add other variables such as internal audit, accounting information systems, and others. It is necessary to increase the number of samples and expand the scope of research, which is more comprehensive than BPR in Denpasar.

Abstract

The silvercrafting tradition in Kamasan Village, Klungkung, Bali, faces significant challenges, including declining youth participation, restricted market access, and limited cultural adaptability. This community service initiative aimed to empower silver craftsmen by integrating cultural intelligence strategies to enhance their global competitiveness while preserving traditional craftsmanship. The program focused on developing metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral competencies to strengthen market adaptability and innovation. A participatory action community service framework guided the initiative for 34 silver craftsmen, structured into three phases: a pre-test to assess cultural intelligence baseline, targeted capacity-building workshops, and a post-test to evaluate progress. The training incorporated scenario-based activities, knowledge-sharing sessions, motivational discussions, and role-playing exercises to enhance cross-cultural adaptability. Findings revealed significant improvements in all cultural intelligence dimensions, with the overall mean score rising in post-intervention. The behavioral dimension exhibited the highest gains, particularly in verbal and non-verbal communication skills. However, challenges such as gender disparities and low youth engagement underscored the need for inclusive strategies. This initiative demonstrated the transformative potential of cultural intelligence training in sustaining traditional industries, reinforcing cultural identity, and fostering market expansion. Future programs should focus on long-term sustainability through mentorship, digital engagement, and targeted inclusivity efforts.

Abstract

Pengrajin bambu di Desa Tigawasa, Buleleng, Bali, merupakan aset budaya dan ekonomi yang penting, namun menghadapi tantangan yang mengancam keberlanjutan kerajinan mereka. Inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perilaku kewirausahaan melalui aktivitas, ketahanan, dan proaktivitas, yang dirancang untuk membekali para pengrajin dalam memenuhi tuntutan pasar, melestarikan warisan budaya, dan mencapai kestabilan ekonomi. Menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan partisipatif. Lokakarya mencakup pelatihan praktis dalam pengembangan produk, analisis pasar, strategi ketahanan, dan pemecahan masalah, didukung oleh umpan balik dan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam perilaku kewirausahaan, dengan skor rata-rata komposit naik dari 1,542 menjadi 4,190. Temuan ini menegaskan keberhasilan intervensi dalam menggeser pengrajin dari praktik tradisional menuju strategi kewirausahaan modern. Dengan mengatasi hambatan sistemik seperti kesenjangan gender dan generasi serta mengintegrasikan dukungan berkelanjutan, inisiatif ini memposisikan kerajinan bambu Tigawasa sebagai aset budaya dan ekonomi yang berkembang. Abstract. The bamboo craftsmen of Tigawasa Village, Buleleng, Bali, serve as a vital cultural and economic resource but face challenges threatening their craft's sustainability. This community service initiative aimed to enhance entrepreneurial behavior through activities, resilience, and proactivity, equipping craftsmen to meet market demands, preserve heritage, and achieve economic stability. Using a participatory action research approach. Workshops included practical training in product development, market analysis, resilience, and problem-solving, reinforced by feedback and collaborative learning. Results indicated marked improvements in entrepreneurial behavior, with the composite mean score rising from 1.542 to 4.190. These outcomes highlight the intervention's success in transitioning craftsmen from traditional to modern entrepreneurial strategies. By addressing systemic barriers like gender and generational disparities and integrating sustained support mechanisms, this initiative positions Tigawasa’s bamboo craftsmanship as a thriving cultural and economic asset, advancing community well-being and contributing to rural entrepreneurship scholarship.

Abstract

This study focuses on accelerating the development of Arabica coffee production and processing in Kintamani, Bali, to enhance local business and economic growth. Kintamani, renowned for its distinctive Arabica coffee, faces challenges in productivity, post-harvest processing, and global market access. The program employed a combination of face-to-face methods, counseling, training, and hands-on practices to improve cultivation techniques, post-harvest methods, marketing strategies, and collaboration networks. The method involved direct practice guided by experts, with training on sustainable agricultural practices, modern post-harvest processing technologies, and effective marketing strategies. Results show a significant increase in participants' knowledge, with an understanding of marketing strategies improving from 21.05% to 84.21%, and awareness of product certification rising from 10.53% to 84.21%. These outcomes demonstrate the program's effectiveness in empowering local communities and fostering sustainable development. Recommendations include leveraging social media, certification systems, and stakeholder collaborations to enhance market access and ensure business continuity. Abstract

Tegalalang Village in Gianyar, Bali, is recognized for its intricate wall décor craftsmanship, which significantly contributes to the local economy. However, craftsmen encounter challenges in innovation capability, market expansion, and business sustainability. This study aimed to enhance their innovation capacity through skill development, business strategy training, and digital adaptation to strengthen competitiveness and ensure industry sustainability. A participatory action research approach was implemented, involving 12 craftsmen in structured workshops and hands-on mentoring. The methodology encompassed a pre-test assessment of innovation capability, capacity-building interventions focused on product development, production efficiency, and digital marketing, followed by a post-test evaluation. The innovation capability instrument framework guided the assessment, addressing key aspects of manufacturing, sustainability, and business management. Findings demonstrated substantial improvements across all ten dimensions of innovation capability. Post-test results indicated enhanced knowledge in optimizing production processes, adopting digital marketing, and utilizing sustainable materials. The mean innovation capability score increased, affirming the program’s effectiveness. However, challenges persist in financial support, digital adoption, and global market expansion. This study underscores the value of structured innovation training in empowering SMEs in traditional industries. Future initiatives should emphasize long-term mentorship, financial access, and market expansion strategies to sustain innovation-driven growth.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial distress, institutional ownership, dividends, and the role of independent commissioners in moderating earnings management in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021-2023. The research sample was obtained through a purposive sampling stage, which resulted in 18 companies with a total of 54 financial reports. Data analysis was carried out through the application of moderated regression analysis (MRA) through the use of the EViews 13 statistical program. The findings of this study describe in an empirical context, financial distress has a positive but insignificant effect on earnings management, institutional ownership has a negative and significant effect, while dividends have a positive and significant effect on earnings management. On the other hand, independent commissioners failed to moderate the effect of financial distress and dividends on earnings management, but were able to strengthen the effect of institutional ownership on earnings management..

Abstract

This study holds particular significance for small and medium-sized enterprises, where limited resources often necessitate the efficient conversion of strategic capabilities into measurable performance outcomes. The proposed conceptual model aims to elucidate the intricate relationships among these variables, providing a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms that underpin organizational performance in resource-constrained settings. The objective of this research is to explore the direct effects of dynamic capability and entrepreneurial orientation on innovation capability and organizational performance, as well as the mediating role of innovation capability in these relationships. The study employs a cross-sectional survey method, collecting data from 396 SMEs in Bali, Indonesia, using an online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using variance-based structural equation modeling. Results from the analysis reveal that dynamic capability has a strong positive effect on both innovation capability and organizational performance. Entrepreneurial orientation significantly impacts innovation capability, but its direct effect on organizational performance is negligible. However, innovation capability fully mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and organizational performance. The study also found that mediation analysis of innovation capability on dynamic capability to organizational performance suggest that there is almost no mediating effect.
