Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were obtained from observations, documentation and interviews with colleagues. Data analysis techniques with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of observations made on class X Fashion 4 students of SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta in semester 1 (odd) of the 2022/2023 school year on July 8 2022 found several deficiencies in the implementation of back roll learning lessons, including the low ability of students in training back roll series, lots of movements that cannot be done perfectly (challenging to roll over, bent knees, starting point is not straight with the endpoint of the action, unsteady final attitude). The results of the assessment support this carried out, namely only 12 out of 28 students (42.86% of students) were able to obtain the results of the assessment above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) carried out. The results of research conducted using the method, modification of tools and facilities carried out by researchers together with collaborators, it can be concluded that: the use of an inclined plane in studying the motion of a series of back rolls with an initial standing attitude is effective in increasing the learning outcomes of students in class X Fashion 4 SMK N 4 Yogyakarta. The initial percentage of learning completeness before the action was 42.86% or only 12 out of 28 students were able to produce their learning outcomes (score ≥ 75), after the action research, the proportion of completeness students increased to 78.57% or 22 out of 28 students were able to complete their learning outcomes (grade ≥ 75), so that there is an increase in learning outcomes of 35.71%.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the importance of teacher performance in determining the quality of education. Factors such as supervisory supervision, principal leadership, and teacher work motivation are thought to have a significant contribution to teacher performance. Method: To test this hypothesis, quantitative methods were used with multiple and partial regression approaches. Data was collected from 21 schools and analyzed to determine the extent to which each factor influences teacher performance. In addition, the data collection technique used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression and partial correlation.   Findings: The research results show that there is a significant positive influence on the contribution of supervisory supervision, principal leadership, and work motivation on teacher performance with an effective contribution of 76.8%. These findings indicate that these three factors play an important role in improving teacher performance. Therefore, efforts to improve teacher performance should be focused on improving the quality of supervisory supervision, principal leadership, and teacher work motivation.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics as a medium in learning mathematics also aims to introduce and preserve culture or history in Indonesia. Creative thinking is a thinking process to connect concepts in mathematics with real objects it faces, so it takes perseverance, personal discipline, which involves mental activities such as observing, asking questions, analyzing, using new information and unusual ideas to synthesize, make connections. , relationships, connecting with each other to form new understandings or concepts intuitively. In this regard, the aim of this research is to improve students' creative thinking skills in learning mathematics, especially rectangular and triangular shapes by providing treatment in mathematics learning using the ethnomathematics of the Sasmitaloka Museum Panglima Besar Jenderal Sudirman. This research was conducted at SMP in Yogyakarta. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a sample of 30 students divided into 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there was an increase in students' creative thinking skills on the material of rectangles and triangles with the ethnomathematics of the Sasmitaloka Museum Panglima Besar Jenderal Sudirman in class VIII students where the Asymp score. Sig is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that ethnomathematics can improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of the Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) towards the ability of the students to solve mathematics problems based on their initial ability. This study is an experiment with 367 students involved as the research sample taken using the cluster technique. The research variable is the problem-solving ability, the initial ability, and the learning model. Analysis of variance was used to analyze the data which leads to the conclusions that (1) the TAI is more effective than the Direct Instruction (DI); (2) the students having moderate initial ability performed better compared to the lower and the higher initial ability; (3) among the students with moderate initial ability, TAI was more effective to be used than DI; and (4) in the implementation of TAI and DI, the problem solving ability of the students is relatively similar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media that can strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. This type of research is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry. The stages of the development of this research, namely the researcher conducted an analysis of student learning needs (Analysis), then designed the media and materials to be compiled (Design). Researchers developed instructional media based on the results of an analysis of students' learning needs and the design of materials that had been developed (Development). Then the researcher implements the learning media that has been developed in the form of Kampung Pancasila board games (Implementation), and at the end of the stage the researcher evaluates the learning media (Evaluation). The development of this media has gone through several validation stages, namely validation from material experts and validation from media experts. The instruments used in collecting research data consisted of validity testing instruments in the form of expert validation sheets, questionnaires to determine the feasibility of the media and observation sheets to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of activities. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. The results showed that Kampung Pancasila board game could be used as a learning media in strengthening Pancasila students. Kampung Pancasila board game has a high feasibility value as a learning media in strengthening Pancasila students. Kampung Pancasila board game is considered an interesting learning media, making it easier for students to understand material regarding Pancasila student profiles and being able to improve students' abilities in solving social problems.

Abstract

In the context of improving student engagement and interest in mathematics, innovative teaching methods are essential. This study aims to examine: (1) students' interest in learning mathematics using a conventional teaching model, (2) students' interest in learning mathematics using a Flippity-based Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model, and (3) the effect of the Flippity-based TGT model on students' interest in learning mathematics. The research employs an experimental design with a quasi-experimental approach using a nonequivalent control group design. The population consists of eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta, and cluster random sampling was used to select the sample. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test. The results indicated that students' interest in mathematics with the conventional model had an average score of 68.04, categorized as average, while the TGT-based Flippity model showed an average score of 72.72, categorized as good. The hypothesis test revealed a significant effect of the Flippity-based TGT model on students' interest in learning mathematics, with a p-value of 0.036 (p < 0.05). Based on these findings, it is recommended that mathematics teachers consider implementing the TGT model with Flippity media, as this combination positively impacts students' interest in mathematics learning.
