Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru SD di Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu mengenai konsep dan implementasi pembelajaran mendalam sebagai pendekatan yang menekankan proses berpikir kritis, pemaknaan, serta keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), yaitu pendekatan pemberdayaan yang menempatkan peserta sebagai pihak utama yang memahami kebutuhan, permasalahan, dan potensi mereka sendiri. Melalui metode PRA, guru terlibat aktif dalam proses identifikasi kebutuhan, analisis permasalahan, perumusan solusi, hingga penerapan strategi pembelajaran mendalam secara kolaboratif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan pemetaan kebutuhan guru, diskusi partisipatif, lokakarya penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran, praktik implementasi, serta refleksi bersama untuk mengevaluasi hasil. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan pada seluruh peserta. Dari 47 guru yang terlibat, 30 guru berada pada kategori pemahaman sangat baik, 12 guru dalam kategori baik, dan 5 guru berada pada kategori cukup baik, sedangkan tidak ada guru yang menunjukkan pemahaman kurang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode PRA efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual guru, kemampuan merancang pembelajaran, serta keterampilan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran mendalam. Secara keseluruhan, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of ecotheology literacy games through in-depth learning to increase environmental awareness among students in science subjects at Medani State Elementary School. The method used in this study is qualitative, with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the use of ecotheology literacy games can increase student involvement, strengthen understanding of ecological concepts, and encourage the internalization of environmental care values. Of the 16 students involved, as many as 15 demonstrated excellent ecological awareness, as evidenced by behavioral changes, critical reflections, and concrete actions taken to maintain cleanliness and preserve the school environment. The deep learning approach helps students connect in-game experiences to everyday life, fostering more meaningful ecological understanding and attitudes. Thus, the integration of ecotheology literacy games into social studies learning has proven to be an innovative pedagogical strategy that is both relevant and appropriate for strengthening environmental education from an early age.

Abstract

The learning media for this water cycle diorama is a teaching aid, such as an aquarium, that can help students learn science in class. Material discussing the water cycle is included in this diorama. This media shows how the water cycle occurs on Earth, which students cannot see directly. One of the aims of this research is to evaluate the needs of teachers and students to make water cycle diorama media for class V, MI As Salam. Another objective is to determine the validity of the water cycle diorama learning media for class V MI, As Salam. Development research (R&D) is a type of research. This research uses the Richey and Klein research model, using three stages. Data collection techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Questionnaires that describe the needs of teachers and students are also used for validation by media experts and material experts. The research results show that the water cycle diorama learning media in science subjects for class V M is very valid to be tested on students. Media experts received a score of 98, an average of 4.9, and a validity percentage of 98%. In contrast, material experts received a score of 72, an average value of 4.8, and a validity percentage of 96%. It can be concluded that the water cycle diorama learning media is declared "very valid."

Abstract

General Background Indonesia’s social and religious plurality requires Islamic education models that cultivate not only individual piety but also moderate and inclusive religious attitudes from the primary level. Specific Background Islamic primary education grounded in Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) values has been practiced at SD Islam Permatasari Mijen Semarang through an integrated educational approach aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. Knowledge Gap Empirical studies examining how integrated Aswaja-based education operates at the primary school level and shapes students’ religious moderation remain limited. Aims This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrated religious education based on Aswaja values in strengthening religious moderation among primary school students. Results Using a qualitative case study design, the findings show that Aswaja values—tawassuth, tasamuh, tawazun, i‘tidal, and ta’awun—are internalized through classroom learning, religious habituation, and school culture. These practices foster tolerant, fair, non-exclusive, and socially responsive religious attitudes among students. Novelty The study demonstrates a structured model of integrated Aswaja-based education at the primary level that embeds religious moderation as lived practice rather than abstract doctrine. Implications The findings suggest that integrated Islamic education rooted in moderate religious traditions can serve as a foundational mechanism for character formation and social harmony within pluralistic societies. Highlights: Aswaja principles are internalized through the synergy of learning activities, habituation, and school culture. Students demonstrate tolerant and non-exclusive religious attitudes shaped by daily educational practices. Integrated religious education operates as a consistent character formation system at the primary level. Abstract

This research aims to enhance the activeness and quality of the IPAS learning process by applying the Make a Match learning model to grade V students at MI Miftahul Huda Watuaji 02. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, which is carried out in two cycles, with the research subjects of all grade V students. The study's results showed a significant improvement in the quality of the learning process and student learning activities. The average percentage of teachers' teaching activities increased from 71.55% in the first cycle with the fair category to 94.11% in the second cycle with the good category. Student learning activity has also increased, as shown by an average percentage increase from 67.72% in the first cycle to 82.69% in the second cycle, in the good category. The application of the Make a Match model can create an active, interactive, and fun learning atmosphere, thereby encouraging students to be more confident, dare to speak their minds, and be optimally involved in the learning process. Thus, the Make a Match model is effectively used as an alternative to IPAS learning strategies to improve the activeness and quality of the learning process of elementary school students.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusi di lingkungan madrasah saat ini menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menyelaraskan pencapaian akademik dengan pembentukan karakter yang humanis, di mana kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) konvensional seringkali dianggap kurang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami strategi internalisasi nilai-nilai "Panca Cinta" dalam Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta (KBC) di MI Tahfidz Ash Sholihah, serta mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang muncul dalam implementasinya di setting madrasah inklusi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi fenomenologi, data dikumpulkan melalui teknik triangulasi yang meliputi wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai Panca Cinta—yang mencakup Cinta Allah dan Rasul, Cinta Ilmu, Cinta Lingkungan, Cinta Diri dan Sesama, serta Cinta Tanah Air—dilakukan melalui dua jalur utama, yakni kegiatan intrakurikuler melalui pengembangan modul ajar berdiferensiasi dan pendekatan multisensori, serta kegiatan kokurikuler melalui pembiasaan ibadah harian dan proyek P5RA. Meskipun pendekatan ini berhasil menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang inklusif dan empatik, prosesnya masih menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan kompetensi pedagogik khusus guru dalam menangani dinamika perilaku anak berkebutuhan khusus serta adanya ketidaksinkronan nilai antara lingkungan madrasah dengan pola asuh di rumah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa internalisasi nilai Panca Cinta sangat potensial dalam membentuk karakter murid yang utuh, namun keberhasilannya memerlukan kolaborasi sinergis antara penguatan kapasitas guru dan dukungan ekosistem masyarakat yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Reading is one of the fundamental skills that students must master from the early stages of education. Good reading ability not only supports students’ understanding of various subjects but also contributes to the development of critical thinking skills. However, low reading interest and limited reading comprehension abilities remain significant challenges in primary education. This condition affects the quality of learning and limits students’ ability to understand information in depth. Therefore, the use of engaging and effective learning media is necessary to improve students’ reading abilities. This study aims to examine the effect of using flashcard media on the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research population consisted of all fourth-grade students, with a total sample of 36 students, divided into 17 students in the experimental group and 19 students in the control group. Data were collected through a pretest and a posttest, and then analyzed using tests of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that the use of flashcard media has a significant positive effect on students’ reading comprehension ability. These findings suggest that interactive visual media can serve as an effective pedagogical strategy to improve the quality of reading instruction and strengthen literacy skills among elementary school students.
