Abstract

Circuit Breaker (PMT) is an important equipment in the electric power system that functions to break and connect the current both under normal conditions and when a disturbance occurs, so that the reliability and safety of the system are highly dependent on the quality of the operation of this device. One of the critical parameters that must be met is the simultaneity of inter-phase contacts so that transient conditions, overvoltages, and unbalances can be minimized. This study aims to determine the results of the simultaneity test on the 150 kV PMT Bay Transformer 3 Lomanis Substation to assess the reliability of its operation and its compliance with technical standards. The test method is carried out through simultaneity analysis based on the results of measurements of inter-phase contact operation time in open trip and close conditions, as well as statistical analysis using the One-Sample T-Test test through SPSS software. The measurement results show that the highest inter-phase time difference only reaches 0.90 ms, far below the SKDIR 0520 standard limit of 10 ms. Statistical test results support these findings, with the Time Open Trip parameter having an average of 27.9833 ms with a significance level of 0.910 (p > 0.05) and the Time Close Trip having an average of 65.8000 ms with a significance level of 0.094 (p > 0.05). Both values indicate no significant difference from the standard. Therefore, the PMT in Transformer Bay 3 of the Lomanis Substation is declared to be operating synchronously, reliably, within the required tolerance limits, and suitable for supporting power system reliability.

Abstract

The ability of prospective teacher students to develop science learning media that are innovative, contextual, and integrated with environmental issues still needs attention because the media developed are often not able to connect science concepts with real environmental problems around students. This study aimed to analyze the ability of students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at STKIP Majenang in developing environment-based science flap books for elementary schools. The research employed a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of sixth-semester students from classes A and B who were enrolled in the Elementary Science Learning course, totaling 77 students. The research instruments included a flap book assessment rubric, student ability questionnaires, and interview guidelines. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative analysis through score calculation, mean scores, and percentage achievement of student abilities. The results showed that the students’ ability in developing environment-based science flap books was categorized as very good. In the product assessment, class A obtained an average percentage of 82.25%, while class B achieved 82.31%. Meanwhile, the questionnaire results indicated an average percentage of 82.92% for class A and 83.52% for class B. The visual creativity aspect achieved the highest score, whereas the environmental integration aspect obtained the lowest score although it still fell into the good category. Interview results revealed that flap books were able to enhance students’ creativity in developing attractive and interactive learning media. However, students still experienced difficulties in integrating environmental issues into science materials contextually. This study indicates that the development of environment-based flap books can serve as an effective learning alternative to improve the readiness of prospective elementary school teachers in developing innovative, creative, and contextual science learning media. Keywords: Environment, flap book, science learning media, student abilities

Abstract

Efforts to strengthen food security in Sindangwangi Village still face challenges in land management, particularly related to improper soil pH levels that affect soil fertility and crop yields. This community service activity contributed by introducing an Internet of Things (IoT)–based soil pH monitoring device as an educational tool and a decision-support instrument for rice field management. A participatory approach was applied through training sessions, equipment demonstrations, and direct assistance to farmer groups, including sensor installation, real-time data reading via a mobile application, and interpretation of measurement results for land management practices. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in farmers’ understanding, indicated by an increase in the average score from 39% in the pre-test to 83% in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.71. These findings confirm that the implementation of IoT technology in soil pH monitoring effectively enhances farmers’ knowledge and skills. This initiative not only introduced agricultural technological innovation but also supported more precise, efficient, and sustainable rice field management in the context of village food security.
