Abstract

Technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) has been one of the steering frameworks that widely employed by researchers in order to examine and develop teachers' knowledge of integrating technology into instruction. This thing also viewed as a modern signature pedagogy within science teachers education integration of technology with science area content and effective pedagogy. In this article the author purposes to describe TPACK of science teachers using a new contextualized TPACK model with global warming. The participants were science teachers from three districts in Indonesia and have different ages from 24 until 34 years old. They were completed questionnaire to measure their ability to sync content, pedagogy, and technology in global warming material. Content Representation was applied to support quantitative data. Our results reveal that the teachers have different knowledge of TPACK. The implications of this study are that experienced teachers perceived higher barriers in integrating technology in classrooms than less experienced teachers.

Abstract

The changes facing the world are complex and require new competencies to deal with them. The entry of the 21st century forces all parties to seek to develop themselves in order to compete in the international market. Also with Education, especially in Indonesia. This is the view for the teacher, the government and the students themselves. So, the purpose of this article is to provide an explanation of the role characteristics of Net Generations as students faced by teachers and the depth and breadth of KD Curriculum 2013 to 21st century competencies of the learners. The analytical method used is documentation study, by collecting documents about PISA 2015 and Curriculum syllabus 2013. The analysis results show that the depth and extent conducted on KD 3.4 and 4.4 on temperature and heat topics obtained that the material has covered all basic competence demands. But not enough if you want to develop literacy science and technology of learners so less recommended to help improve the competence of the 21st century

Abstract

Publication of scientific articles is needed by teachers to improve and develop competence and quality of learning. This community service activity aims to provide training to guru penggerak community on how to write scientific articles and introduce scientific journals. The results show that this activity is in demand and provides benefits to guru penggerak community. It can be seen that 69.09% of participants strongly agree that this activity is important to do.

Abstract

Content knowledge (CK) memberikan gambaran berupa pengetahuan guru tentang informasi terkait konten materi yang diajarkan kepada siswa. Selain itu Content Knowledge merupakan pengetahuan yang semestinya dikuasai oleh guru yang mencakup fakta, konsep, prinsip, hukum, dan teori. Selain itu CK juga menggambarkan kemampuan guru untuk mengorganisasi materi-materi yang akan diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan profil content knowledge guru pada materi global warming. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah tiga orang guru SMP yang berasal dari sekolah yang berbeda-beda. Masing – masing guru diminta untuk menguraikan konsep esensial atau big ideas pada materi Global warming sebagai representasi dari Content Knowledge guru tersebut. Kemampuan Content knowledge (CK) guru diukur dengan menggunakan instrument CoRe (Content Representation) yang berisi delapan item pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Content Knowledge (CK) guru berada pada kategori sedang. Kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan CK materi Global warming berupa pengembangan dan pemilihan tugas, pemilihan representasi dan penjelasan, interpretasi tanggapan siswa, penekanan pada pemahaman siswa dan analisis kesalahan serta kesulitan yang mungkin dialami siswa. Kata kunci: Content Knowledge, CoRe (Content Representation), Global warming AbstractContent knowledge (CK) provides an overview of teacher knowledge about information related to material content taught to students. In addition, Content Knowledge is knowledge that should be mastered by teachers which includes facts, concepts, principles, laws, and theories. In addition CK also describes the ability of teachers to organize the material to be taught. This study aims to provide a profile of teacher content knowledge on global warming material. The method used is descriptive method. The subjects in this study were three junior high school teachers who came from different schools. Each teacher was asked to elaborate on an essential concept or big ideas on the subject of Global Warming as a representation of the teacher's Content Knowledge. The ability of teacher Content knowledge (CK) is measured using the CoRe (Content Representation) instrument which contains eight question items. The results of the study show that the teacher's Content Knowledge (CK) is in the medium category. The ability of teachers to implement CK material Global warming in the form of development and selection of tasks, selection of representations and explanations, interpretation of student responses, emphasis on student understanding and analysis of errors and difficulties that may be experienced by students. Keywords: Content Knowledge, CoRe (Content Representation), Global warming

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode SLNA yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis bahan ajar berbasis komputer pada pembelajaran bioteknologi. Bahan ajar berbasis komputer berisikan materi-materi ajar dengan menggunakan komputer sebagai media pembelajaran efektif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu bahan ajar komputer pada pembelajaran bioteknologi itu sendiri. Pada penelitian ini juga peneliti melakukan analisis sebanyak 25 artikel yang telah difiltrasi berdasarkan topik bahan ajar komputer. Analisis tersebut dimuat dalam beberapa komponen seperti judul, tahun, doi, author, metode, hasil analisis, dan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Bibliometrix tools (Aplikasi metode SLNA) sebagai media yang digunakan dalam menganalisis artikel-artikel tersebut. Dari penelitian ini maka diperoleh kesimpulan penggunaan bahan ajar komputer menghasilkan pengaruh positif yang hasilkan yaitu bersifat efektif dan fleksibel dalam pembelajaran bioteknologi karena dapat memvisualisasikan materi ajar kedalam bentuk gambar, video, suara sehingga memberi kesan yang tidak membosankan saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Multiple representation ability is a student's understanding of describing a concept at three chemical representation levels: macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic. This ability represents a complete understanding of chemistry, so every teacher needs to know. This research was conducted to analyze students' multiple representation abilities in voltaic cell material using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) diagnostic test. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to obtain an overview of the ability of multiple representations naturally. The instrument uses the POE diagnostic test, has been validated by five validators consisting of lecturers and chemistry teachers and has been tested to obtain instrument legibility. The research subjects involved 34 class XII high school students who had studied voltaic cell material. The findings of the ability profile of multiple representations include (1) the concept of voltaic cell construction; most students (32.35%) are able to understand the constructs at the macroscopic and symbolic levels accompanied by explanations at the submicroscopic level that are not correct, (2) the concept of calculating values standard cell potential, as many as 44.12% of students were able to observe (macroscopic) and calculate (symbolic) the standard cell potential value accompanied by an inaccurate submicroscopic level explanation, (3) most students (32.35%) were not correct in explaining cell voltaic in alkaline batteries at the macroscopic and submicroscopic levels accompanied by writing at the appropriate symbolic level, and (4) the concept of corrosion, most students (35.29%) were able to explain corrosion phenomena at the macroscopic and symbolic levels accompanied by explanations at the submicroscopic level which less correct.

Abstract

The development of scientific fields is possible through communication between researchers. This communication can be established with a medium called the Scientific Journal. Through the media, each researcher searches for articles that have been researched on the same topic. So that they will easily update or develop the topic. This method is known as the bibliometric analysis method. Therefore this study aims to carry out the same analysis on the virtual lab theme. This is important in learning development, especially in science learning. The data obtained was in the form of many articles from the SCOPUS database, which several criteria had previously defined to capture them. These criteria are related to the year of publication, keywords and language selection. The application used in this study is the VOS Viewers application. The results show that research related to virtual labs in science learning is still very possible considering many limited lab facilities in some schools. However, it should be noted that virtual labs cannot replace traditional laboratories because traditional laboratories can give students hands-on practical experience. It is better if the virtual lab is considered as a supplementary to science learning

Abstract

An indicator of a good village is having a clean environment and local residents free from all diseases. In addition, local residents have commodities to be more independent in terms of economic development. This is of course not only the responsibility of village officials, but requires the support and cooperation of local residents as well. Therefore it is necessary to make use of the village environment which can realize the indicators previously mentioned. The first step that can be taken is to start with your own yard. Because based on observations, the service team found that in the partner village, namely Balombong village, it had not been used properly and there were empty lands in the residents' yards. So that the purpose of implementing this service is to provide education for residents to be able to take advantage of the yard by planting fruit in pots. This can make the environment more beautiful, healthy and the results can help the local economy

Abstract

Pengembangan feedback literacy bagi mahasiswa berperan dalam memaksimalkan proses penerimaan feedback. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengeksplor profil feedback literacy mahasiswa dan implikasinya dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan hasil belajar. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan menggunakan feedback literacy scale yang diadaptasi dari Zhan (2022), terdapat 24 item pertanyaan yang terdiri dari enam dimensi proses feedback. Sebanyak 100 mahasiswa strata satu (S1) berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada dimensi eliciting berkaitan dengan kemampuan menerima informasi (84%), dimensi processing berkaitan dengan kemampuan dalam memahami, memproses feedback untuk dilakukan tindak lanjut (84%), dimensi enacting yakni kemampuan dalam menerjemahkan feedback menjadi tindakan (73%), dimensi appreciation of feedback menunjukkan mahasiswa menyadari tujuan dari proses feedback (79%), dimensi readiness to engage yakni kesediaan untuk menerima masukan atau saran (86%) dan dimensi commitment to change yang menunjukkan keinginan untuk melakukan perbaikan (79%). Hasil wawancara diperoleh informasi proses feedback lebih efektif jika memanfaatkan aplikasi digital, disampaikan dengan kalimat positif yang menunjukkan kelebihan dan kelemahan. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa dimensi feedback literacy mahasiswa sudah cukup baik (di atas 70%), dengan persentase terendah pada kemampuan untuk menerjemahkan feedback menjadi tindakan. Selain itu, pemberian feedback yang disesuaikan dengan dimensi proses feedback akan mengarahkan pada peningkatan feedback literacy yang menunjang kinerja mahasiswa.

Abstract

In the recent decades, teacher’s competencies has been one of the major interesting research subjects ini education due to technology improvement. Therefore the teacher study program can be a place to reflect on these abilities, called TPACK. In this study, TPACK ability of preservice teachers was investigated. By applying decriptive methods among 50 students were participated in this study. Selection of participants using the convenience sampling method. The sample selection method is based on the availability of elements and the ease of obtaining them. The convenience sampling method was carried out because the study used elementary school teacher education study program students and there were 2 classes of 50 participants. The data in this study were obtained by using a questionnaire on student perceptions about their TPACK abilities. This instrument was developed by Schmidt (2009) which consists of 30 statement items. The results reveals that TPACK ability of preservice elementary school teachers in science material is quite good. The results of this study can provide a reference for the curriculum development of the PGSD Study Program to be used as a feature of the PGSD Study Program. If you want to focus on developing the TPACK of preservice teachers, then in the future the courses in the program must be able to support the achievement of these TPACK abilities.
