Abstract

Curriculum development must be considered according to the times, the development of science, the needs of students, and the needs of society. In Indonesia, curriculum development from the Learning Design Curriculum (1947) is currently being implemented. The purpose of this paper is to understand the approaches used in curriculum development, and to analyze the development of the Arabic language curriculum in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the approaches used in curriculum development are both the administrative and grassroots approach, while the development of the Arabic language curriculum in Indonesia begins with the 1964 curriculum, spanning all the way to the 2022 independent curriculum. Curriculum changes over time have been carried out in a balanced and proportional manner. This is reflected in the teaching of Arabic language skills, which are taught to continue to experience development and refinement. In addition, the orientation of learning Arabic is not only for studying religion, but also oriented toward the realization of Arabic language competence, communicative competence, and cultural competence.

Abstract

Efikasi diri merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi seorang guru bahasa arab, karena akan mempengaruhi keberhasilannya dalam mengajar. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengeksplore efikasi guru bahasa arab di wilayah jember untuk menjadi guru penggerak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif . penentuan sampel menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang diambil adalah guru di MA Al-Qodiri Jember berjumlah 3 guru. Analisis data menggunakan teori analisis miles dan huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Efikasi diri merupakan hal penting yang harus dimliki oleh guru. Satu dari tiga guru bahasa arab MA Al-Qodiri telah memiliki efikasi diri yang baik dalam semua apek, dan dua guru dengan efikasi diri yang kurang. Hal ini karena kurangnya pengalaman dalam mengajar dan satu guru belum memenuhi kualifikasi akademik yang memadai. Guru yang memiliki Efikasi diri yang baik dalam penguasaan materi bahasa arab akan menjadikannya yakin saat mengajar. Sedang Efikasi yang perlu ditingkatkan oleh sebagian guru bahasa arab MA Al-Qodiri yaitu keyakinan memiliki keterampilan yang cukup dalam mengajar bahasa arab yang efektif dan keyakinan meningkatkan pencapaian siswa dalam belajar. Self-efficacy is very important for an Arabic language teacher because it will influence his success in teaching. The purpose of this article is to explore the efficacy of Arabic language teachers in the Jember area to become driving teachers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Determining the sample using a purposive sampling technique. The samples taken were 3 teachers at MA Al-Qodiri Jember. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's analysis theory. The research results show that self-efficacy is an important thing that teachers must have. One in three MA Al-Qodiri Arabic language teachers has good self-efficacy in all aspects, and two teachers have less self-efficacy. This is due to a lack of experience in teaching and one teacher does not meet adequate academic qualifications. Teachers who have good self-efficacy in mastering Arabic language material will be confident when teaching. Medium The efficacy that some MA Al-Qodiri Arabic language teachers need to improve is the belief in having sufficient skills in teaching Arabic effectively and the belief in increasing student achievement in learning.

Abstract

Global climate change has been considered a more threatening problem to face. In particular, establishing a pesantren-based anti-global climate change center within Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School is seen as the mitigation system. As this program is meant to be a community service program, the ABCD community empowerment method was used. The results suggested that: First, in the research planning (define, discovery, dream, and design), the most critical assets to be developed were the human resource assets of the santri (lit. student). The objective is to develop the quality of the santri as the human resource asset to realize the pesantren-based anti-global climate change center—the service programs in the form of counseling, training, and mentoring. Second, the holistic transformation-based service was done through applicative and evaluative stages, which has improved the quality of the human resource assets of Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School Community holistically both in the aspects of knowledge, creativity, and ascertaining character awareness to establish an anti-global climate change society.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the Arabic writing proficiency of tenth-grade students in the PK 1 class of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Program Keagamaan (MANPK) Jember through analytical evaluation. The sample comprised 20 students, identified as S1–S20. The data were derived from their in-class compositions titled “Simple Essays,” which were analyzed using Jacobs' Analytical Rubric. This rubric evaluates five key components of writing: content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics. Employing a quantitative descriptive research design, the findings indicate that the majority of students’ Arabic writing skills fall within the “good to average” category. Specifically, 10% of students performed at the “excellent to very good” level across all aspects, 60% at the “good to average” level, and 30% at the “fair to poor” level—though their vocabulary usage remained at a “good to sufficient” level. These findings provide essential feedback for educators aiming to enhance the teaching and learning of Arabic writing skills.

Abstract

This research analyzes Hassan Hanafi's liberation thoughts: Al-Turats wa Al Tajdid, hermeneutics of liberation, and the Islamic left. The method used in this research is library research with a descriptive-analytic method, namely using interpretive analysis of books by Hassan Hanafi as primary data and articles, research journals, and other scientific works related to the research object as secondary data. The research results show that Al Turats Wa Tajdid is a significant project in the revival of Islam. This Hanafi idea changed the concept of Islamic theology from theocentric to anthropocentric. The second is Hassan Hanafi's hermeneutics of liberation using three methods: 1) Historical-Criticism, 2) Eidetic-Conciusness, and 3) Practical-Conciusness. The third is the movement for the liberation of Islamic thought called the "Islamic Left". This movement is intended to fight colonialism, Zionism, and Western hegemony, as well as the oppressive ruling elite, as well as against ignorance and confinement. This research makes a significant contribution in inspiring readers to follow the renewal of Hanafi thought, which elevates Islamic theology as a driver of social change and solutions to social problems, as well as changing the Islamic theology curriculum to focus on social reality rather than just God.

Abstract

Abstract This assistance aims to develop the assets of the Baitur Rahman Bitting-Arjasa-Jember Al-Quran Education Park (TPQ) community in the quality aspect of Human Resources (HR), namely teachers in creating effective, innovative, and enjoyable Arabic language learning. This empowerment process uses the Asset Basic Community Development (ABCD) approach. The results of the mentoring show that the empowerment of TPQ Baitur Rahman teachers will not be successful if there is no cooperation and active participation from the mentoring subjects and all assets related to TPQ Baitur Rahman; the implementation of empowerment runs optimally because this empowerment results in the development of the quality of TPQ Baitur Rahman teachers in implementing the lu'batud dzakirah strategy to increase maharah kalam which is very necessary for improving learning processes and outcomes in the community; The application of this strategy familiarizes students with listening and practicing speaking using Arabic so that effective, efficient and enjoyable Arabic language learning can be created. Abstrak Pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan asset komunitas Taman Pendidikan al-Quran (TPQ) Baitur Rahman Bitting-Arjasa-Jember pada aspek kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yaitu Guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang efektif, inovatif, dan menyenangkan. Proses pemberdayaan ini menggunakan pendekatan Asset Basic Commninty Development (ABCD). Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan guru-guru TPQ Baitur Rahman tidak akan berhasil jika tidak ada kerjasama dan partisipasi aktif dari subjek pendampingan dan seluruh aset yang berkaitan dengan TPQ Baitur Rahman; pelaksanaan pemberdayaan berjalan dengan optimal karena pemberdayaan ini menghasilkan pengembangan kualitas guru-guru TPQ Baitur Rahman dalam menerapkan strategi lu’batud dzakirah untuk meningkatkan maharah kalam yang sangat diperlukan dalam peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar di komunitas tersebut; penerapan strategi ini membiasakan siswa untuk mendengarkan dan praktek berbicara dengan menggunakan Bahasa Arab, sehingga dapat tercipta pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang efektif, efisien, dan menyenangkan. Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan proses pembelajaran maharah kitabah yaitu menulis karangan sederhana dengan persfektif teori konstruktivisme di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Program Keagamaan (MANPK) Jember. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengungkapkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran maharah kitabah dalam persfektif konstruktivisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskripif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan obsevasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori analisis data miles dan huberman, yang meliputi: pengumpulan data, penyederhanaan data, pemaparan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa proses pembelajaran maharah kitabah dalam persfektif kontruktivisme terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu (1) Pramenulis, yaitu guru menentukan tujuan pembelajaran berupa siswa mampu membuat karangan sederhana dengan judul yang telah ditentukan dan sesuai dengan tatabahasa yang benar. Kemudian guru membagi siswa menjadi beberapa kelompok, dan memberi mereka contoh teks dengan judul tertentu. Kemudian meminta mereka untuk membaca dan mendiskusikan uslub bahasa arab yang ada dalam teks tersebut bersama rekan kelompoknya. (2) Kegiatan Menulis, yaitu guru meminta mereka untuk menulis karangan sederhana dengan judul yang berkaitan dengan teks yang telah mereka baca dan mempraktekkan uslub-uslub yang telah mereka temukan dalam teks. (3) Pascamenulis, guru mengoreksi tulisan para siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the concrete form of Arabic speaking skills learning with the perspective of constructivism theory at Institut Agama Islam Al-Qodiri Jember (IAI Al-Qodiri Jember), how the class setting, the learning process, and the products produced by students after learning. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews. The data analysis used in this research is Miles and Huberman's data analysis theory, which includes: data collection, data simplification, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study concluded that: first, the class setting in Arabic speaking skills learning with the perspective of constructivism theory by the way the lecturer arranges the chairs in the class into groups. So, students can interact actively by practicing Arabic communication. Second, the process of learning Arabic speaking skill with a constructivist approach consists of three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation, all of which focus on constructivist learning by paying attention to the principles contained therein. Third, the product produced by students in this lecture is a language conversation video as a concrete form of the construct results of students' thoughts about the Arabic conversation concepts they make. The process of learning Arabic speaking skills through the methods above can make students master 21st-century skills including creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.

Because this skill is the most difficult Arabic language skill compared to the other three Arabic language skills, in learning activities, an effective and efficient learning approach is needed to make students proficient in Arabic writing skills. This approach is the PBL Approach. An approach that emphasizes a problem as a learning trigger and students are asked to find solutions. So this research aims to reveal the application of PBL in learning Arabic writing skills at IAI Al-Qodiri Jember. The Arabic writing skill in question is writing opinions in Arabic and applying problem-based learning in learning Arabic opinion writing skills in the fifth-semester Arabic language education program. The approach used in this research is qualitative, with a case study type. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman analysis model which includes data presentation, reduction, and verification. The data validity technique used in this research is source triangulation, by comparing data obtained from field research and primary sources (library). The results of the research show that the application of PBL in learning Arabic opinion writing skills runs effectively and efficiently in both the learning and evaluation processes. Apart from that, the application of PBL can improve students' critical thinking skills in the form of the ability to analyze, evaluate, and create. This article can be used as a reference for educators in implementing PBL in learning Arabic writing skills at the tertiary level. Copyright: © 20xx by the author(s).
