Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Electronic Portfolio in Basic science lab learning, especially in support of paperless policy at the State University of Semarang (Unnes). The sample was odd semester students of science education study programs Faculty Unnes 2015 which followed the IPA Basic practicum courses. Lectures conducted by implementing Web-based Electronic Portfolio Blog which provides facilities to the students in the collection of statements by way of uploading (upload) via the menu on Electronic Portfolios thereby minimizing the use of paper (paperless). The questionnaire results were analyzed student responses associated qualitative descriptive effectiveness in supporting paperless policy and useabilitas utilization. Electronic Portfolio concluded that effective in supporting policy paper use management in an effective and efficient (Paperless Policy) in the lecture Basic science lab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan Electronic Portofolio dalam pembelajaran khususnya praktikum IPA Dasar dalam mendukung kebijakan paperless di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester gasal program studi pendidikan IPA FMIPA Unnes Tahun 2015 yang mengikuti mata kuliah praktikum IPA Dasar. Perkuliahan dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan Electronic Portofolio berbasis Web Blog yang memberikan fasilitas kepada mahasiswa dalam pengumpulan laporan dengan cara meng-upload (mengunggah) melalui menu yang tersedia pada Electronic Portofolio sehingga meminimalisir penggunaan kertas (paperless). Hasil angket respon mahasiswa dianalisis secara diskriptif kualitatif terkait efektivitasnya dalam menunjang kebijakan paperless dan useabilitas pemanfaatannya. Disimpulkan bahwa Electronic Portofolio efektif dalam mendukung kebijakan pengelolaan pemanfaatan kertas yang efektif dan efisien (Paperless Policy) dalam perkuliahan praktikum IPA Dasar.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan trend hasil belajar mahasiswa menggunakan media Electronic Portofolio yang teruji valid. Metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan diterapkan pada perkuliahan Praktikum IPA Dasar dengan menerapkan media Electronic Portofolio. Dari hasil uji pakar media dan pakar evaluasi merekomendasikan bahwa media Electronic Portofolio yang dikembangkan mendapatkan persentase kelayakan sangat layak dengan nilai presetase 96.55% sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Electronic Portofolio dapat menggambarkan dan meningkatkan trend prestasi mahasiswa dengan baik dari tiap projek maupun produk pembelajaran yang dilakukan selama perkuliahan. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The aim of the research was to improve student learning outcomes trend using Electronic portfolio media that proven valid. Research and Development Methods were applied to the lectures of Basic Science Practicum by implementing Electronic portfolio media. From the results of the evaluation experts and media experts, it was recommended that the developed Electronic portfolio media eligibility got a very decent percentage with 96.55%. Therefore, it can be used in science teaching and learning. Electronic Portfolio was able to describe and improve student achievement with a good trend of each project as well as the products of learning undertaken during the lectures.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengembangkan  model dan perangkat pembelajaran berpendekatan  JAS (Jelajah Alam Sekitar)  terintegrasi mata kuliah konservasi dan kearifan lokal di prodi IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan  jenis penelitian  dan pengembangan (R&D)  pendidikan  yang dilaksanakan secara kolaborasi  dengan  team dosen mata kuliah konservasi dan kearifan lokal.  Uji efektivitas dan kepraktisan  produk  penelitian    R&D dilakukan melalui penelitian eksperimen, dengan desain  Pretest-Postest Experiment Design.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah  mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan  IPA FMIPA yang mengambil mata kuliah Konservasi dan Kearifan lokal pada semester genap 2014/2015 yang berjumlah  45  mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa observasi dan tes. Lembar observasi untuk mengetahui kesesuaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berpendekatan  JAS (Jelajah Alam Sekitar) yang dikembangkan.  Tes  digunakan untuk menentukan efektivitas model pembelajaran berpendekatan JAS (Jelajah Alam Sekitar) dalam meningkatkan  soft skills  konservasi terintegrasi dalam mata  kuliah Konservasi dan  Kearifan  Lokal. Analisa data yang dilakukan adalah analisis diskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian ini dihasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan berciri konservasi, serta dihasilkan produk dari mahasiswa berupa video pembelajaran, poster dan stiker sebagai penerapan pembelajaran yang berciri konservasi. Selain hal tersebut, penilaian berupa tes menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menunjukkan prestasi yang lebih baik apabila dilihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest yang dilaksanakan. Pretest yang dilakukan sebelum diberikan penugasan menunjukkan hasil rata-rata 83,25, sedangkan posttest 86,20. Hasil angket menunjukkan softskills peduli lingkungan, cinta lingkungan, kreatif, tanggungjawab, objektif, dan kerja keras.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This study aimed  to develop a model and a learning tool  with an approach of  JAS  (Exploration Nature Neighbourhood) integrated course in conservation and local wisdom  of Prodi IPA. This study was a research and development (R & D) study conducted in collaboration with a team lecturer in conservation and local wisdom. Test effectiveness and practicality of the product R & D research was conducted through experimental research, design Pretest-Posttest Design Experiment.  The method used in this study was a qualitative method. The subjects were students of department of Educational Science Faculty who take courses in conservation and local wisdom in the second semester of 2014/2015 totaling 45 students. Data collection techniques used in the form of observational studies and tests. Observation sheet to determine the suitability of the implementation of learning by learning model with an approach of JAS (Roaming Neighborhood Nature) developed. The test was used to determine the effectiveness of the learning model with an approach of JAS (Natural Roaming Neighborhood) in improving the soft skills of conservation  in the course of Conservation and Local Wisdom. Data analysis was qualitative descriptive analysis. From the results of this research produced the product in the form of a competency-based learning tool and is characterized by conservation, as well as the resulting product in the form of student learning videos, posters and stickers as application of learning characterized by conservation. Besides this, in the form of assessment tests show that students showed a better performance when seen from the results of pretest and posttest was implemented. Pretest conducted before given the assignment showed an average yield of 83.25, while the posttest 86.20. Abstract

The object of learning in science was all natural objects that require in-depth exploration in learning. Media was needed to inform messages that had been designed by the educators so that learning was more realistic and fun. This study was designed with the research explorative type with qualitative descriptive approach, involving a teacher and the students in class VII at 2 different science classes at SMPN 2 Boja. The technique of data collection used documentation study and questionnaire. To test the validity of data and put confidence in the data validity criteria (credibility) used the triangulation. The result of study showed that the type of Science materials in general were in the form of teaching materials in print, visual and multimedia, nonetheless there had been no audiovisual Science teaching materials, for example the film. The teachers’ lack of knowledge about meta-cognitive made the meta-cognitive ability of the students was less good. The development of teaching materials had not narrowed to the achievement of specific competencies including meta-cognitive abilities of the students. It could be concluded that it was necessary to develop the type of teaching materials Audio Visual form of film in general often referred to as digital storytelling in science teaching to improve the students' meta-cognitive skills.

Abstract

There has been limited information about the integrated science education alumni and the graduate user (stakeholder) satisfaction level. Therefore, a concrete step needs to be taken by the department managers in the form of alumni data collection — this research intended to reveal the stakeholders' responses to the Integrated Science Education graduates of Universitas Negeri Semarang. The methods adopted were descriptive-qualitative and quantitative employing questionnaire instruments available on the tracer study web system. The questionnaires had several indicators including (1) ethics and moral, (2) professionalism, (3) insight, (4) leadership, (5) teamwork, (6) foreign language mastery, (7) communication, (8) IT skills, and (9) self-development. Based on the accomplishment score average of the 9 indicators, the graduates categorized as very good having the final score of 3.72. The knowledge background suitability with the jobs scored 3.60 or categorized as very good. The analysis results revealed that of the 9 indicators, 7 of them categorized as ‘very high' (ethics and moral, insight, leadership, teamwork, communication, IT skills, and self-development) and 2 of them categorized as ‘high' (professionalism and foreign language mastery). The integrated science education alumni's suitability of competencies towards the jobs also categorized as ‘very high.'

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid Real Science Mask with QR Code learning media. The goal to be achieved through this research in general is to produce learning media that can build a concrete learning experience and be able to improve digital literacy of science students. The research and development (RnD) method by analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) was performed. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, expert validation sheets, and questions. The teaching and learning instruments were declared feasible and ready for application with a few revisions based on the validation results. Aspects that are considered in the feasibility test of the Real Science Mask with QR Code media are relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility, interface, suitability of material with digital and cognitive literacy skills, and media function. Real Science Mask with QR Code is a specially designed learning media that has been tested feasible and valid to improve digital literacy of science students.

Abstract

Metacognition is one of the important indicators of 21st century skills as part of ways of thinking. Metacognition ability is used by students to see how cognitive activities such as remembering, learning, and problem solving can be carried out effectively. However, in fact not many assessment tools have been developed to measure metacognitive ability. On the other hand, Moodle has good potential to be used as a platform for creating test instruments. The purpose of this study was to test a diagnostic test-based science metacognition evaluation tool that had been developed with Moodle. The research method used is quantitative by testing the validity, reliability, discriminating power, and level of difficulty on the items of the evaluation tool. The results showed that the science metacognition evaluation tool that had been developed had the characteristics of being valid according to experts, good reliability of 0.73, having a proportional difficulty index; and has good discrimination index. Based on the test results, it was concluded that the science metacognition evaluation tool had good characteristics in all aspects tested so that it was feasible to use it to measure students’ science metacognition abilities.

Abstract

Para ibu menyusui cenderung tidak percaya diri dalam menyusui bayinya dengan alasan khawatir ASI hanya diproduksi dalam jumlah yang sedikit dan tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi bayi. ASI ibu sering dirasa tidak cukup untuk bayi sehingga khawatir bayi kelaparan dan akhirnya memilih susu tambahan lain dalam hal ini adalah susu formula. Tujuan dan target luaran IbM adalah; (1) Memberikan kesadaran masyarakat Kelurahan Kalisegoro dalam memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayi; (2) Memberikan pelatihan cara mengolah daun katuk menjadi “cintuk” (cincau daun katuk) sekaligus sebagai upaya diversifikasi makanan tambahan ibu menyusui dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah menggunakan pendekatan penyuluhan dan workshop tentang manfaat daun katuk serta aplikasi langsung pembuatan cincau daun katuk pada warga Kalisegoro. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dengan rencana kegiatan dan prosedur kerja sebagai berikut; (1) penyuluhan mengenai manfaat dan diversifikasi olahan daun katuk; (2) pelatihan tentang pembuatan cincau yang menggunakan bahan dasar daun katuk; (3) aplikasi produksi pembuatan cincau daun katuk pada kelompok warga desa Kalisegoro. Program ini telah diilaksanakan dengan kegiatan: (1) Penyuluhan mengenai pentingnya ASI dan manfaat mengonsumsi Cintuk yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 Juli 2016; (2) pelatihan tentang pembuatan Cincau daun katuk “Cintuk” yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Juli 2016, dari pelatihan tersebut telah dipraktekkan dan telah menghasilkan cintuk yang siap dikonsumsi.
