Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang adsorbsi senyawa azo Remazol Golden Yellow dari limbah cair zat warna sintetis menggunakan adsorben dari eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi optimal eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) sebagai bioadsorben limbah zat warna Remazol Golden Yellow dan mengetahui kadar ppm Remazol Golden Yellow maksimum dalam limbah zat warna sintetis yang dapat diserap oleh bioadsorben eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes). Subyek penelitian adalah eceng gondok yang teraktivasi NaOH 2% dengan waktu perendaman 24 jam. Obyek penelitian adalah efisiensi adsorpsi eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) terhadap zat warna sintetis-reaktif Remazol Golden Yellow. Variabel bebas yang dipakai adalah variasi massa. Daya adsorbsi ditentukan dengan dengan membandingkan konsentrasi Remazol Golden Yellow sebelum dan setelah adsorbsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar massa bioadsorben, efisiensi adsorbsi juga akan semakin besar dan adsorbsi optimum variasi massa Remazol Golden Yellow diperoleh pada massa adsorben 2,5 gram/100 mL dengan efisiensi adsorbsi 74,767%

Abstract

Tes kimia buatan guru yang berkualitas sangat dibutuhkan mengingat keputusan yang diambil dari hasil tes tersebut berdampak pada siswa. Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut, model Rasch menawarkan statistik uji yang berperan penting dalam konstruksi pengujian yang berkaitan dengan masalah evaluasi dan pemilihan item serta dalam pengambilan keputusan terhadap skor tes yang dihasilkan. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi item fit dan person fit dalam pengukuran hasil belajar kimia menggunakan model Rasch. Data yang berupa respon multiple choice dari 40 item penyusun instrumen tes kimia buatan guru diambil dengan teknik dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan Winsteps Rasch Software versi 3.73. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa semua item penyusun instrumen tes kimia buatan guru terbukti fit model. Sementara itu, dari 356 siswa SMA di Kota Yogyakarta yang menjadi responden penelitian, 18 siswa diantaranya teridentifikasi sebagai person misfit yang sebaiknya diperiksa lebih lanjut untuk mendapatkan bimbingan guru.

Abstract

This study aims to identify: patterns of responses, the item parameters, and the possibility of gender bias in the career interest instrument developed by the authors based on the Holland’s theory. The sample of this study was 576 elementary students in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta who were recruited using the cluster random sampling method. Two parameters were employed to analyze the response patterns using BILOG program. The results were: (1) three items have inappropriate response patterns to the model; (2) all items of the career interest instrument showed good item parameter criteria; and (3) ten items were identified containing Differential Item Functioning (DIF) in relation to gender bias as shown by the Item Characteristic Curve (ICC). The implications of this study are this instrument can be used in assesing career interest of students and the information of biased items may be considered in the selection of careers for male and female students, including in scoring and interpretation.

Abstract

The teacher-made chemistry test must have a good quality, due to the decision taken from the tests has an impact on the students. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to explore the quality of teacher-made chemistry tests such as item fit and person fit, item difficulty, and test reliability. The sample consisted of 356 senior students from senior high schools in Yogyakarta that were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research used the teacher-made chemistry test consisted of 40 multiple choice items which were collected using documentation technique. Data were analyzed with Rasch Model using Winsteps 3.73 version. The result showed that all items in the teacher-made chemical test were proven to have good quality (fit model, good item difficulty, and good test reliability). Moreover, 18 students were identified as misfit persons. From the findings, the test can be used to assess the students’ learning outcomes, especially for the try-out of the final exam in senior high school. Besides, the students identified as person misfits should be further examined and receive teachers’ guidance.

Abstract

Good learning media are media that can facilitate students to understand the material. The selection of learning media must be in accordance with the characteristics of the teaching material. To facilitate explaining the atomic structure material that is abstract, we need a medium that can realize the material. This study aimed to develop an interactive animation learning media Chem is Fun based on quantum learning and determine the quality of the product. The development model used was the ADDIE model by adapting the development procedures, namely the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages. This study involved one media expert, one material expert, three peer reviewers, and five reviewers to assess product quality. The instrument used in this study consisted of an advice sheet and a questionnaire. The results of the study state that the learning media product Chem is Fun based on quantum learning has good quality, so it can be used as a learning medium to help students' learning process on atomic structure material.

Abstract

This first aim of this study is to describe the quality of chemistry test item made by teacher. The test was developed for 11th grade students’ science class in the first semester on academic year 2015/2016. The second aim of this study is to describe the characteristic of measurement’s result for students’ ability in chemistry. This is descriptive research design with the 101 student’s responses patterns from multiple choice test device with 5 answer alternatives. The responses patterns were collected by documentation technique and analyzed quantitatively using Item Response Theory software such as BILOG MG V3.0 with 1-PL, 2-PL, and 3-PL models. The differences of students’ ability in chemistry in model 1-PL, 2-PL, dan 3-PL were analyzed using One-Way Anova Repeated Measure. The result showed that the mean of item difficulties level (b), item differentiate (a), and pseudo-guessing (c) are good. The measurement tools arranged by teacher were suitable for students who have the ability from -1.0 to +1.7. The maximum score of item information function is 68.83 (SEM =0.121) with ability in 0.2 logit. The highest ability’s estimation score was showed by Model 2-PL. The mean of students’ ability for 11th grade students is -0.0185 logit and consider as moderate category.

Abstract

The measurement of marital quality has been done in many countries including Indonesia. This article described the characteristics of the item parameter endorsement index and item fit model in the data as the results of measurement of marital quality of Javanese people. The 420 couples (N = 840) from Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Solo, Banyumas, and Pekalongan involved this research. The data collected were analyzed using the Rasch model with the Quest program. In general, the endorsement index moves higher as the category increases, and there were four items from the dimension of relation quality and twelve items the dimensions of well-being quality that were misfit model. These indicated that the items did not really measure the latent construct desired and need to be removed or reviewed.

Abstract

This study aims to explore psychometric characteristics and detect whether the teacher-made chemistry learning evaluation instrument contains item bias that can benefit students of a certain gender. The research sample was 358 students of class XII SMA in Yogyakarta who were taken by cluster random sampling then the answer were analyzed by Winsteps Rasch Software 3.73. In general, it can be concluded that the teacher-made chemistry learning achievement instrument is good in terms of the reliability coefficient, the distribution of the difficulty level of the items, the majority of which are in the medium category, and only one that detected as misfit item. The results of the analysis using the Mantel-Haenszel method showed that three item was biased and two of them favored male students. With the detection of bias item, it indicates that follow-up from the teacher is needed to improve these items so that the principle of test fairness can be enforced.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the characteristics of the tests used in measuring students' abilities such as item fit, item difficulty level, and test reliability and to measure students’ ability in electrolyte test takers' reliability, and person misfit. This research involved 260 students from two senior high schools in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The research instruments was integrated assessment instrument for electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution matter consisted of 8 essay question. The data were analyzed with Rasch model using Winstep software version 3.73. The results revealed that all items on the integrated assessment instrument have been proven to be fit with Rasch model, have good test reliability, and have good difficulty level parameters. Moreover, students' abilities were obtained very diverse, i.e. very low, low, medium, high and very high abilities. Meanwhile, the person reliability were very low and 48 students were identified as person misfit . Thus, further examination can be conducted, so that students who are identified as misfit s can obtain guidance from the teacher.
