Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kacang tanah dengan pemberian pupuk P pada tanaman, sehingga dapat diketahui dosis terbaik pemberian pupuk P yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang tanah. Metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dimana P0 = Tanpa pupuk (kontrol), P1 = Dosis pupuk SP-36 50 kg/ha, P2 = Dosis pupuk SP-36 100 kg/ha, P3 = Dosis pupuk SP-36 150 kg/ha, P4 = Dosis pupuk SP-36 200 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pemberian dan dosis pupuk SP36 memiliki pengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, serta umlah polong. Adapun untuk perlakuan terbaik yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang tanah terdapat pada dosis pupuk P 200 kg/ha. Kata Kunci: Pupuk Tunggal; Vegetatif; Kacang Tanah; ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the growth and production of peanut plants through the application of P fertilizer. To determine the best dose of P fertilizer that affects the growth and production of peanuts. This study used a randomized block design method with five treatments which were repeated three times. P0 = No fertilizer (control), P1 = Dosage of SP-36 fertilizer 50 kg/ha, P2 = Dose of SP-36 fertilizer 100 kg/ha, P3 = Dose of SP-36 fertilizer 150 kg/ha, P4 = Dose of SP-36 fertilizer 36,200 kg/ha. The results showed that SP36 fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, Age of flowering, Number of pods. The best P fertilizer treatment that affected the growth and production of peanuts was at a dose of P fertilizer of 200 kg/ha. Kata kunci: Single Fertilizer; Vegetative; Peanut Plants

Abstract

Tanaman Pakcoy yang dikonsumsi sebagai sayuran dapat ditingkatkan produksinya dengan pemupukan kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK akan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) serta untuk mengetahui perlakuan terbaik antara kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tunggulo, Kecamatan Tilongkabila, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo dan di Laboratorium Jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai April 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 1 faktor yang terdiri dari 7 taraf yaitu, P0 = kontrol, P1 = 25 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam, P2 = 20 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 150 kg/ha, P3 = 15 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 300 kg/ha, P4 = 10 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 450 kg/ha, P5 = 5 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 600 kg/ha, P6 = NPK 750 kg/ha. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, dan berat segar tanaman. Data hasil observasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, dan berat segar tanaman. Kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam 10 ton/ha + NPK 450 kg/ha memiliki pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy.Kata Kunci : Pakcoy, Pupuk Kandang Ayam , NPK , Kombinasi

Abstract

Pangan merupakan kebutuhan esensial bagi seluruh penduduk dunia. Belakangan ini, badan pangan dunia (FAO) memperingatkan pemimpin dunia akan terjadinya krisis pangan di berbagai wilayah di dunia. Salah satu upaya untuk mengantisipasi krisis pangan adalah menerapkan kawasan pangan lestari yang berbasis sumber daya lokal di wilayah pesisir. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tentang penerapan kawasan pangan Lestari berbasis sumber daya lokal dilaksanakan di Kawasan pesisir teluk tomini, desa Biluango, Kecamatan Kabila Bone, Kabupaten Bone Bolango pada bulan Mei hingga Juli 2023. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi rintisan kawasan pangan lestari pada lahan tidur, pembagian bibit tanaman pangan dan tanaman obat keluarga kepada masyarakat dan edukasi pertanian berkelanjutan kepada para siswa-siswi MI di Desa Biluango. Seluruh kegiatan yang dilaksanakan mendapatkan respon baik dari masyarakat dan mampu memotivasi Masyarakat desa Biluango dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan berbasis sumber daya lokal

Abstract

This community service project aimed to enhance the nutritional quality of processed food products by diversifying those made from sorghum. In Gorontalo, sorghum cultivation and processing into ready-to-eat food products were well-established. Active community participation in developing sorghum commodities was vital, prompting initiatives to process sorghum into widely recognized products. During training sessions, it was emphasized that all team members, from workers to management, needed to be knowledgeable and skilled in implementing Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to improve cleanliness and sanitation. The participants, primarily mothers from West Tulabolo Village, produced local food items from sorghum seeds, such as sorghum drinks, sorba, onde-onde, and fried bananas. While sorghum seeds were the main ingredient for sorghum drinks and sorba, sorghum flour was used for onde-onde and fried bananas. The program concluded with an evaluation of participants' acceptance of the products, showing high ratings of very much liked for nearly all aspects, including taste, texture, aroma, and color. This training was intended to guide the community in exploring entrepreneurial opportunities and fostering the development of village-based small and medium enterprises (UKM Desa).

Abstract

The challenges facing the people of Butu Village, Tilongkabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, include low added value of agricultural products and limited diversification of local food products. This situation leads to dependence on the sale of raw crops and a limited variety of nutritious food consumption. This program provides training and mentoring solutions for diversifying agricultural products, with a focus on processing. The objective of this activity is to enhance the skills of the Butu Village community in processing agricultural products, particularly corn, into value-added products and to strengthen village food security by providing a variety of nutritious and sustainable local food products. The results of this community service activity show an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in processing corn-based agricultural products, as well as growing community motivation to develop local food-based businesses. Thus, this activity makes a significant contribution to supporting community economic independence and food security, leveraging the village's potential. Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Butu, Kecamatan Tilongkabila, Kabupaten Bone Bolango adalah rendahnya nilai tambah hasil pertanian dan terbatasnya diversifikasi produk pangan lokal. Kondisi ini menyebabkan ketergantungan pada penjualan hasil panen dalam bentuk mentah, dan terbatasnya variasi konsumsi pangan bergizi. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam program ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan diversifikasi produk pertanian, khususnya pengolahan hasil pertanian menjadi produk bernilai tambah. Tujuan kegiatan yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Butu dalam mengolah hasil pertanian, khususnya jagung dan komoditas lainnya, menjadi produk olahan bernilai tambah dan menguatkan ketahanan pangan desa melalui penyediaan produk pangan lokal yang variatif, bergizi dan berkelanjutan. hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam proses produksi, serta tumbuhnya motivasi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan usaha berbasis pangan lokal. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat sekaligus ketahanan pangan berbasis potensi desa.

Abstract

The current land suitability criteria for konjac are incomplete and fail to consider land dimensions and quality, which influence optimal yield. This research aims to develop criteria for konjac land suitability based on the dimensions, quality, and characteristics of selected land. In Gorontalo Province, Indonesia, 131 land units were surveyed to obtain data on the quality and characteristics. Selection of land dimensions, quality, and characteristics using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). Meanwhile, the optimum yield and distinguished land suitability criteria for konjac plants using the boundary line method. The results indicated that intrinsic and extrinsic dimensions determined the new land suitability criteria. In the intrinsic dimension, land quality was assessed based on root conditions, oxygen availability, nutrient availability, nutrient retention, and sodicity. For the extrinsic dimension, land quality only comprised temperature, water availability, land preparation, and erosion hazard. Land characteristics in the intrinsic dimension consisted of soil drainage, texture, bulk density, particle density, porosity, pH, organic C, CEC, base saturation, total N, available P, and exchangeable K. For the extrinsic dimension, land characteristics included slope, soil erosion, surface rocks, and rock outcrops. The highest optimum yield of konjac was 9.17 t/ha, and the lowest was 6.69 t/ha, respectively.

Abstract

The potential for using organic fertilizer as a substitute for inorganic fertilizer is enormous, but many farmers still do not know how to determine site-specific organic fertilizer dosages for horticultural crops. This activity aims to increase farmers' knowledge about determining site-specific organic fertilizer dosages for horticultural crops in the Moawota Farmers Group, Bulotalangi Village, Bone Bolango Regency. The training method used in this activity was with 20 participants who were evaluated before and after the training for their knowledge improvement achievements. The results obtained showed that the training on determining organic fertilizer dosages in general has been able to increase farmers' knowledge by 93% from only 29% before the training. To make the results of this training more effective, it is recommended that intensive mentoring be provided to farmers by both agricultural extension workers and academics until the application of organic fertilizer dosages on horticultural crops and evaluation of their agronomic performance and economic aspects.

Abstract

 Trichoderma brevicompactum indigenous to Gorontalo is a potential biological control agent that plays an important role in plant disease management and agricultural waste utilization. The availability of cost-effective and environmentally friendly growth media is a key factor in supporting the production of fungal inoculum. This study aimed to describe the growth response of Gorontalo indigenous T. brevicompactum on agricultural waste-based media, namely cassava peel extract and coffee peel extract, in comparison with Potato Dextrose Broth (PDB) as a control medium. The study was conducted using a descriptive approach at the Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The observed parameters included changes in the physical properties of the media (temperature, pH, and color), mycelial biomass, relative growth rate (RGR), absolute growth rate (AGR), and conidial density during the incubation period. The results showed that, descriptively, cassava peel extract exhibited a higher tendency in RGR and AGR values than the control medium and coffee peel extract, particularly during the mid-incubation phase. In contrast, coffee peel extract showed a relatively lower growth response, especially at the later incubation stage. Conidial density increased over time in all media, with the highest values observed in the control medium, followed by cassava peel extract and coffee peel extract. Overall, cassava peel and coffee peel wastes have potential as alternative growth media for T. brevicompactum, with cassava peel extract demonstrating a more favorable growth tendency.
