Abstract

The fertilizer availability as source of N, P, and K nutrient where plant responsif  was difficult found by farmer. Thefore, It was needed information about nutrient availability in soil properties to know nutrient deficiency of its by maize as plant indicator. The  objective of this research was to study the respons of  N, P, and K fertilizers and the best combination of it on the growth and yield of Maize. The research conducted at Udic Pellusterts in North Isimu Tibawa District of Gorontalo Regency. The experi- mental design was following random block design that consist of 5 treatments with 3 replications. The result of this research showing that minus N, P, and K fertilizers have a significantly effect on plant age polination, the percentage of height stem of  an ear of corn to plant height and dry straw weight but did not have significantly effect on plant height and the weigh of one hundred grain of Maize. To improve the growth and yield of Maize using fertilizing without P treatment were 250 kg Urea ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 or completely dosage were 250 kg Urea ha-1, 100 kg TSP ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 as the best fertilizers combination.

Abstract

Coffee is a national strategic commodity that contributes to Indonesia’s foreign exchange, but its productivity remains low due to cultivation on low potential land. This study aimed to determine the land suitability of endemic liberica coffee using two different methods and formulate recommendations for land management in Pinogu Plateau. Thirteen land units were surveyed, and soil samples were collected and analyzed in the laboratory to identify the land characteristics. Land suitability classes (LSCs) were compared by limiting factor and parametric methods. Analysis using the limiting factor method showed that the actual LSCs for liberica coffee consisted of moderately suitable (S2) and marginally suitable (S3) classes. Efforts for improvement could increase the potential of LSC to became very suitable (S1) and S2 classes. Meanwhile, the assessment with the parametric method indicated that the LSC consisted of S1, S2, and S3 classes. These results revealed that the parametric method provides more realistic land characteristics than the limiting factor method. Land management II  or the land that had a little limiting factor turned out to be more dominant with the recommendation of adding P and organic fertilizer.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group dynamics on the institutional capacity of beef cattle farmer groups in Gorontalo Regency. This research was conducted in Gorontalo Regency in February–June 2018. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. Determination of the sample is done by multistage sampling. The number of samples is 120 members of farmer groups. Data processing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis on the AMOS program. The results showed that group dynamics affected the institutional capacity of farmers by 0.859. Each dynamics indicator contributes a good average including clear group goals 61.4% group structure 65.6%, task function 67.6%, group development coaching 58%, cohesiveness 60.2%, atmosphere 50% , 54.3% effectiveness, 63% pressure group and 74% desire group. The institutional capacity development of farmer groups cannot be separated from group dynamics that have a positive effect. Farmer groups as a forum that has the potential to move its members to interact and work together. The level of group dynamics is quite good, but the role of breeders must be more optimal in participating in the activities of the beef cattle business group Keywords: Cattle, Group dynamics, Institutional capacity

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi penyuluh, tingkat produktivitas kelompok dan pengaruh The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation of extension agents, group productivity and the relationship between motivation and group productivity in beef cattle business. From October to December 2022 this research was carried out. The survey method was used to obtain primary and secondary data, purposive sampling. Data analysis used is simple regression analysis. The results show a motivational value of 177.6. The productivity of the beef cattle business group is quite good with an average score of 170. The effect of motivation on the productivity of the beef cattle business group is 59.3%

Abstract

This study aims to determine the dose of fertilization on the growth and yield of soybeans, to determine the effect of tillage on the growth and yield of soybeans and to determine the interaction of doses of the level of use of organic fertilizers and tillage on the growth and yield of soybeans. The research was conducted using factorial group random planning method or factorial RAK. The first factor is the amount of organic fertilizer (cow stage) which is divided into four levels, namely P0 without fertilization, P1 organic fertilizer (10 tons/ha), P2 organic fertilizer (30 tons/ha). The second factor is tillage which consists of two levels, namely T0 (least tillage) and T1 (perfect tillage). Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times so that there were 24 research plots. The results showed that there was no interaction between organic fertilizers and tillage. The application of organic fertilizer significantly affected the parameters of soybean plant height, number of leaves, rate of formation of flowers and pods, number of pods per plant, weight of 100 seeds, and dry weight of the plots. Tillage significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, percentage of flower pods, number of pods per plant, and weight per 100 seeds. The application of 20 tons of organic fertilizer per hectare and intensive tillage has the best effect on the growth and yield of soybeans

Abstract

Pemberian pupuk kandang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan unsur hara bagi tanaman untuk meningkatkan produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Sapi dan Ayam Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Bawang Merah  (Allium ascalonicum L.)  Varietas Tajuk yang dilaksanakan  pada bulan Januari – Maret 2024 yang berlokasi di Desa Iloheluma Kecamatan Tilongkabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 1 faktor. Faktor yang diamati yaitu jenis pupuk kandang (P) yang terdiri dari pupuk kandang sapi dan kandang ayam, yang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu P0 = Kontrol, P1 = tanah 5 kg : pupuk kandang sapi 0,5 kg, P2 = tanah 5 kg : pupuk kandang sapi 1 kg, P3 = tanah 5 kg : pupuk kandang ayam 0.5 kg dan P4 = tanah 5 kg : pupuk kandang ayam 1 kg. Parameter yang diukur adalah waktu tumbuh umbi, jumlah anakan, jumlah umbi, berat basah umbi (g), diameter umbi (cm), dan berat kerinng umbi (g). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analysis of varians (ANOVA 5%) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk  kandang  berpengaruh  nyata terhadarap waktu tumbuh umbi, berat basah umbi, diameter umbi dan berat kering umbi bawang merah. Namun, pemberian pupuk kandang berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah anakan dan jumlah umbi bawang merah. Kata  Kunci: Pupuk Kandang Sapi, Pupuk Kandang Ayam, Varietas  Tajuk

Abstract

Bayam Hijau yang dikonsumsi sebagai sayuran dapat ditingkatkan produksinya dengan cara pemupukan kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk NPK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk NPK akan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bayam hijau (Amarathus hybridus L.) serta untuk mengetahui perlakuan manakah yang terbaik antara kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman dan hasil tanaman bayam hijau (Amarathus hybridus L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tunggulo, Kecamatan Tilongkabila, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo dan di Laboratorium Jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Maret 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 1 faktor yang terdiri dari 7 taraf, yaitu Kontrol, 50 Ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam, 40 Ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 150 kg/ha, 30 Ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 300 kg/ha, 20 Ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 450 kg/ha, 10 Ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + NPK 600 kg/ha, 750 kg/ha pupuk NPK. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, laju asimilasi bersih, dan berat segar tanaman. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analysis of varians (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan tanaman, dan berat segar tanaman. Kombinasi perlakuan 20 ton/ha pupuk kandang ayam + 450 kg/ha NPK memiliki pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bayam hijau. Kata Kunci: Bayam Hijau, Pupuk Kandang Ayam , NPK, Kombinasi

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of farmers' institutional capacity and the influence of institutional capacity on the independence of beef cattle farmers. This research was conducted in Gorontalo Regency from February to November 2018. The research used a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sample was determined in stages (multi stages sampling), namely by selecting districts, sub-districts, villages and groups. The determination of farmers as respondents was carried out in an exhaustive manner. The number of samples used was six groups with 120 group members. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) statistics from the Analysis of Moment Structures (Amos) program. The research results explain the level of institutional capacity is good (3.18) which consists of indicators of goal achievement (3.24), institutional function and role (3.15), institutional innovativeness (3.12) and group institutional sustainability (3.18). Institutional capacity influences the independence of beef cattle farmers by 79%.

Abstract

Masyarakat yang melaksanakan usahatani pada lahan dengan kategori lahan kering di Desa Huangobotu Kecamatan Kabila Bone Kabupaten Bone Bolango Provinsi Gorontalo pada umumnya belum menerapkan teknologi konservasi biopori. Aplikasi teknologi konservasi biopori merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengembalian unsur hara dan peresapan air ke dalam tanah. Kegiatan pengabdian pembuatan lubang resapan biopori dilakukan pada masyarakat Desa Huangobotu dilaksanakan dengan 3 metode yaitu tahap sosialisasi (penyuluhan), pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tahap sosialisasi (penyuluhan) menjelaskan mengenai manfaat dan cara pembuatan biopori; tahap pelatihan melatih cara membuat lubang biopori; dan tahap pendampingan pembuatan biopori di halaman rumah warga. Dengan adanya biopori ini, masyarakat sangat memperoleh manfaatnya, yaitu air permukaan langsung terserap ke dalam tanah lewat biopori, sampah basah limbah dapur menjadi pupuk organik untuk tanaman dan tanaman nampak tumbuh subur.

Abstract

The purpose of community service is to preserve the environment by reducing the rate of erosion through planting and maintaining reforestation trees around Tunggulo reservoir which is located in a sloping topography area. The method used in this community service is to conduct counseling on the benefits of fruit trees (soursop, rambutan, and durian) in increasing the cover of vegetation canopy on the soil surface so that it can reduce the rate of soil erosion, in addition to providing economic value to the community. The results of the community service are in the form of transferring research results on reforestation tree planting and maintenance technology, in this case tree planting with weed removal only carried out around trees planted in the direction of the contour lines. Partners play an active role in this community service, especially in the technical implementation in the field. The community service program carried out was accepted by farmers. Farmers are very optimistic that they can apply what they have learned in this community service activity in the field, because this technology is very easy to apply. Planting is carried out together with local residents and maintenance is continued by students during the implementation of the KKN program. Of the three types of fruit trees planted, soursop plants have better growth compared to rambutan and durian plants
