Abstract

The rapid transformation of digital content consumption toward short-form and vertical video formats has given rise to vertical micro-dramas as a distinct entertainment ecosystem with unique monetization challenges. While prior studies have examined value co-creation and monetization strategies separately, limited attention has been paid to how these two dimensions interact to sustain revenue in highly volatile, attention-driven environments. This study adopts a theoretical research design using a conceptual model development approach based on a systematic synthesis of international and national scholarly literature. Through thematic and comparative analysis, the study identifies key dimensions of value co-creation—engagement, community participation, data-driven feedback, and institutional collaboration—and maps their interaction with diverse paywall innovations, including microtransactions, hybrid advertising models, subscriptions, and access-based partnerships. The findings demonstrate that monetization resilience in vertical micro-drama ecosystems emerges from the dynamic alignment between participatory value creation and adaptive paywall design, rather than from isolated revenue mechanisms. The study contributes a conceptual framework that explains how co-creation processes, when integrated with flexible monetization architectures and contextualized by local market conditions, enable platforms to achieve sustainable revenue under conditions of rapid technological and behavioral change.

Abstract

Digital transformation is understood as a systematic process that influences the entire management cycle—from strategy formulation and implementation to organizational performance evaluation. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital innovation, technopreneurial managerial competence, and technology orientation on the competitive advantage of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 150 SME respondents who had adopted digital technologies, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that digital innovation, technopreneurial managerial competence, and technology orientation have a positive and significant impact on SMEs’ competitive advantage, explaining 71.7% of the variance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technopreneurship and digital innovation as an effective managerial strategy to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs. The study provides practical implications for SME owners to prioritize managerial competence development, technology adoption, and innovation culture while offering guidance for future research to consider external factors influencing competitive advantage models.

Abstract

Abstract

Amidst the escalation of the digital economy, commercialization of data assets (data monetization) has become a crucial strategy for startups to open new revenue streams. However, the ambition to convert data into profit is often hampered by information silos, low data quality, and legal risks following the implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law (PDP Law). This literature research aims to formulate a conceptual framework for adaptive data governance for startups by adopting the Data Management Body of Knowledge v2 (DMBOK v2) guidelines. Using a systematic literature review approach to reputable scientific articles and regulatory documents, this research constructs a governance model that aligns business needs with technical compliance. The resulting theoretical synthesis yields the Agile Data Commercialization Governance Framework (ADCGF), a streamlined model focused on the three main pillars of DMBOK v2. These pillars include data governance with a minimalist role structure (Data Governance), standardization of data product quality based on completeness and accuracy metrics (Data Quality), and de-identification techniques through anonymization and aggregation (Data Security & Privacy). The implementation of this model demonstrates that privacy regulatory restrictions are not a barrier to entrepreneurial innovation, but rather a strategic anchor for building market trust. The resulting blueprint is expected to serve as a practical guide for digital businesses in optimizing the economic potential of data securely, legally, and with high economic value.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers strategic opportunities to strengthen technopreneurship models, including within conventional offline businesses. This study aims to design an AI-driven strategic transformation model for a local radio business, focusing on Nirwana FM Banjarmasin, particularly its Event Organizer (EO) services, product sales, and marketing collaborations. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and analysis of operational documents to map the existing level of technological integration. The findings reveal a significant digitalization gap, where Nirwana FM has not yet implemented AI in a comprehensive and integrated manner. Operational processes within the EO unit and marketing strategies remain largely manual and rely on fragmented technological tools. To address this issue, the study proposes a strategic AI-based model through the integration of five core solutions: (1) AI-Based Audience Analytics, (2) Predictive Analytics for Product Stock Planning, (3) AI-Powered Social Media Performance Tracking, (4) AI-Assisted Scheduling and Event Management, and (5) Automated Chatbot and Information Services. This model serves not only as an operational optimization framework but also as a sustainable hybrid business transformation strategy for local radio enterprises and MSMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation driven by national policies, including Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2021 and Presidential Regulation No. 2 of 2024 on the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, has reshaped the entrepreneurial landscape, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This transformation has encouraged the development of technopreneurship by positioning technology as a primary source of value creation and competitive advantage. Although Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been prioritized as a strategic technology in Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda, existing studies predominantly conceptualize AI as a technical tool rather than an entrepreneurial capability that shapes technopreneurial orientation and behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of AI as an enabler of technopreneurship in strengthening the digital ecosystem of cooperative-based MSMEs through a holding approach. A conceptual research design employing a systematic synthesis of the literature on technopreneurship, artificial intelligence, dynamic capabilities, MSME holdings, and digital ecosystems was applied. The findings indicate that AI functions as a collective entrepreneurial capability that strengthens sensing, seizing, and transforming capacities in business development. The integration of AI within holding schemes and digital ecosystems enables MSMEs to enhance collaboration, operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainable competitiveness.
