Abstract

Abstract: Research objectives to describe the management of education and training undertaken by the training institutions for the implementation of the program. Research using qualitative approach. The data collected by interview, observation, and documentation methods. Results of research: (1) program planning of multiple expertise PPPPPTK BOE Malang was start from an analysis of the needs of teachers, drafting the budget, recruitment of participants, to making proposals of activities; (2) organizing was done by the Division of proposals to work units, and continued by coordonation meeting for committee involement; (3) training implementation by using  in-on-in model was done with provisioned speaker and attendees, and the strategies of andragogy approach. The implementation of the learning was begin with the opening to learning in each classroom; (4) evaluation of the implementation of the multiple expertise program at PPPTK BOE Malang was consist of participant’s assesment, speaker of theacer’s assesment, and organizer’s assesment.. Keyword: Educational and Training Management, Multiple Expertise Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen pendidikan dan pelatihan yang dijalankan oleh lembaga pelatihan untuk pelaksanaan program keahlian ganda. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian: (1) Perencanaan program keahlian ganda di PPPPPTK BOE Malang  mulai dari analisis kebutuhan guru, penyusunan anggaran, perekrutan peserta pelatihan, sampai dengan pembuatan proposal kegiatan; (2) pengorganisasian dilakukan dengan pembagian proposal kepada unit kerja, dilanjutkan rapat koordinasi dan pelibatan ke dalam kepanitiaan; (3) model pelaksanaan pelatihan in-on-in dengan dilakukan pembekalan terhadap narasumber dan peserta dengan strategi pembelajaran pendekatan andragogi, kemudian pada pelaksanaan pelatihan diawali dengan pembukaan hingga pembelajaran di kelas masing-masing; (4) evaluasi pelaksanaan program keahlian ganda di PPPPTK BOE Malang menyangkut penilaian peserta, penilaian narasumber atau pengajar, dan penilaian penyelenggara. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, Keahlian Ganda

Abstract

This study aims to discover the perspectives of Physics teachers regarding the application of academic supervision in public and private high schools. In the realm of educational obstacles, including geographical and resource constraints, comprehending teacher views is crucial for devising more effective supervisory strategies. The research method employed is qualitative, utilising a case study approach. Data were gathered via comprehensive interviews with nine Physics Science educators to investigate their experiences, reactions, and anticipations regarding the academic supervision process. The study's findings indicated that teacher perceptions were significantly affected by the supervisory approach, the quality of communication between teachers and supervisors, and the pertinence of the feedback provided. Educators possess adequate comprehension of the planning, execution, and subsequent evaluation of academic oversight by the principal. Favourable perceptions typically foster educators' receptiveness to transformation and enhancement of instructional methodologies. It is essential for principals to comprehend the scientific content pertinent to the subject matter taught by each educator, particularly in relation to scientific literacy (scientific approach). This research offers both theoretical and practical contributions. Supervisor competencies that diverge from the relevant field of study also impede the efficacy of supervision. This study theoretically enhances the discussion of teacher perceptions in academic supervision. The findings can serve as a resource for educational stakeholders to develop a more contextual and effective supervision model, particularly in regions with unique socio-cultural and infrastructural conditions.

Abstract

Hearing impairment can have a profound impact on the mental and emotional state of sufferers, as well as hinder communication and delay in accessing information directly that relies on interpreters. Advances in assistive technology, especially speech recognition systems that are able to convert spoken language into written text (speech-to-text). However, its implementation faces various challenges related to the level of accuracy of each speech-to-text Application Programming Interface (API), thus requiring an appropriate deep learning model. This study serves to analyze and compare the performance of speech-to-text API services (Deepgram API, Google API and Whisper AI) based on Word Error Rate (WER) and Words Per Minute (WPM), to determine the most optimal API in a web-based real-time transcription system using the JavaScript programming language and Glitch.com. The three API services were tested by calculating their error rates and transcription speeds, then evaluated to see how low the error accuracy rate was and how high the transcription speed was. On average, Whisper AI had a WER of 0% across all word categories, but its speed was lower than the other two APIs. Deepgram API displayed the best balance between accuracy and speed, with an average WER of 13.78% and 67 WPM. Google API performed stably, but its WER value was slightly higher than Deepgram API. In conclusion, based on the results, Deepgram API was deemed the most optimal for live transcription, as it is capable of producing fast and error-free transcriptions, significantly increasing the accessibility of information for the deaf community.
