Abstract

The era of the Digital Revolution 4.0 needs to be addressed with appropriate learning so that students have superior competencies in the field of education. This must be responded quickly and accurately by all stakeholders in education in order to be able to increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian nation in the midst of increasingly competitive competition. The process of information technology management level through the Cobit 5 Framework shows that educational institutions in Riau Province are still in level 2, namely the managed process level. We need a solution to accelerate technology, especially online learning, which is a necessity in various educational institutions. SMAN 8 Pekanbaru has implemented online learning with the measured readiness of managed process technology. The model used is the seamless learning model which is a method that provides an effective learning environment, contains the concepts of continuity and continuity in the learning process that occurs without time and space limits. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to implement online learning at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in the form of workshops for teachers in schools using the Cobit 5 Framework. The results of this activity show significant changes, especially in the enrichment of online learning learning models. The survey results from the satisfaction of teachers showed a score of 98% strongly agree with the benefits resulting from this community service activity.

Abstract

Kelas Bersama dosen merupkan salah satu fasilitas yang ada di Universitas Abdurrab Pekanbaru, kelas ini digunakan oleh dosen-dosen yang mengajar mata kuliah teori. Dalam aktifitas yang sedang berjalan sebelum adanya system absensi ini para dosen masih menggunakan absensi tertulis yang mana aktifitas ini tidak efisiean dikarenakan terjadinya antrian jika dalam jam yang sama terdapat jumlah dosen yang mengajar sangat banyak. Oleh karena itu dibuatlah sebuah system absensi dengan Quick Response code atau yang lebih dikenal dengan QR code. System yang di buat akan di integrasikan melalui peraangkat android dosen sehingga dosen tidak perlu mencetak QR code lagi, mereka cukup login pada aplikasi yang sudah terpasang pada perangkat android masing-masing dan aktifitas absensi ini dilakukan pada sebuah ruangan yang dinamakan ruang transit dosen, ruangan ini berfungsi sebagai ruang tunggu dosen, sebelum dose memasuki ruang kelas kuliah. Pada ruang transit dosen disediakan perangkat komputer yang sudah memiliki kamera yang berfungsi untuk membaca QR code pada saat absensi. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah analisis situasi dan analisis kebtuhan yang mana sebelum membuat aplikasi ini dibutuhkan data berupa aktifitas mengajar dosen dan laporan kehadiran pada setiap perkuliahan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the synergy between the local government and academia in mitigating peatland fires in Siak Regency. In the fields of social humanities, science, and technology, this study uses an exploratory qualitative method. The study reveals the important role of the local government in disaster mitigation through regional regulations, policies, and synergy between related departments. Through the regional regulation on forest fire prevention and handling, the local government has involved the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and other supporting units in mitigation efforts. In addition, academics have also contributed by developing a technology-based peatland fire detection system. The main results of this study show that collaboration between the local government and academia is very significant in peatland fire mitigation efforts. The role of the local government through Governor's Decree No. 9 of 2020 and Regent's Decree No. 4 of 2022, as well as synergy between departments, encourages more effective steps in preventing and handling peatland fires. In addition, the contribution of academics to producing a technology-based peatland fire mitigation technology design opens up the potential for innovative and sustainable solutions. These findings have significant implications, as they highlight the importance of collaboration between the local government and academia in facing the challenges of peatland fire mitigation in Siak Regency. This synergy allows a better understanding of the problem, the development of more effective policies, and the application of advanced technology in preventing and handling peatland fires.

Abstract

SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru telah dipilih sebagai pilot project berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), mendapatkan kepercayaan dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Namun, tantangan muncul karena para guru belum memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan terkait penerapan IoT, khususnya dalam konteks penghematan energi untuk menciptakan sekolah yang ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada para guru di SMK Abdurrab mengenai konsep dan implementasi IoT untuk penghematan energi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat menjawab kepercayaan yang diberikan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan terhadap pilot project SMK berbasis Revolusi Industri 4.0. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan survei awal dan wawancara di SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru untuk mengevaluasi kebutuhan dan pemahaman awal. Selanjutnya, dilaksanakan pelatihan intensif IoT bagi para guru sebagai langkah nyata implementasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terselenggaranya pelatihan IoT yang sukses, meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru terkait penghematan energi dan keberlanjutan lingkungan di lingkungan sekolah. Dampak yang dirasakan oleh mitra, yaitu SMK Abdurrab, adalah penguatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam mengimplementasikan teknologi IoT untuk penghematan energi, menjadikan sekolah sebagai lembaga yang berkontribusi pada lingkungan yang lebih berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Obtaining relevant information from the Holy Qur’an can be really challenging for people who cannot speak Arabic, such as the Indonesian people. One technology implementation which is commonly used to tackle this problem is to develop a search engine application for Al-Qur’an verses. This paper proposes a search engine based on semantic representation keywords for the Indonesian translation of the Al-Qur’an which consists of 3 phases i.e., data preparation, document representation, and search engine development. In the first stage, the Al-Qur’an dataset was built using the official translation of the Al-Qur’an from the Ministry of Religion and then enriched with the Wikipedia corpus. The second phase is document representation which produces feature vectors by utilizing the Word2Vec algorithm. Finally, the development of a search engine that can find the most relevant verses by calculating the cosine similarity between the document and the keywords. It was found that the proposed search engine succeeded in exceeding the performance of ordinary search engines by finding wider information due to the use of semantic keywords. Apart from that, the proposed search engine succeeded in maintaining the relevance of search results by achieving precision and recall levels of 98.7% and 97.3% respectively.

Abstract

Riau Province is one of the regions in Indonesia that frequently experiences forest and land fires, which cause economic losses, environmental damage and threats to public health. This research aims to build a model for preventing forest and land fire disasters through an ecotourism approach, with a focus on integrating conservation efforts and empowering local communities. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies in several ecotourism areas in Riau. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, field observations, and analysis of related documents. The research results show that ecotourism has significant potential in preventing forest and land fires, especially through increasing environmental awareness among local communities and visitors, as well as developing environmentally friendly land management practices. The proposed prevention model includes several key elements: (1) active community participation in managing ecotourism areas; (2) sustainable environmental training and education; (3) collaboration between government, private sector and society in monitoring and enforcing the law; and (4) development of ecotourism infrastructure that supports nature conservation. Implementation of this model is expected to significantly reduce the risk of forest and land fires in Riau, while encouraging economic growth through sustainable ecotourism.

Abstract

Riau Province is confirmed as the largest and most affected area by forest fires from 2015. This study aims to look at forest fire disaster mitigation based on social engineering of tourism villages based on economic empowerment in Riau Province. The method used in this research is mix method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. This research explains the Disaster Mitigation Policy Model for Forest and Land Fires in Disaster Aware Digital Tourism Village (DWDSB) Based on Economic Empowerment in Riau by describing the mitigation policy for forest and land fires (karhutla), the level of village readiness in facing forest and land fires and the analysis of disaster-aware digital tourism villages (DWDSB) on local economic empowerment in Riau. The results showed that Riau Governor Regulation Number 9 of 2020 became the legal basis for the Riau Province Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in the aspect of forest and land fire disaster mitigation. The results also show that the Disaster Aware Digital Tourism Village (DWDSB) can be an alternative to developing disaster mitigation-based social engineering policies through green economy-based community empowerment activities based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Job matching is a hiring process that involves a thorough understanding of the context and meaning of words in different languages. The updated and expanded latent semantic indexing (LSI) Framework seeks to improve the precision and relevance of job matching analysis of word meanings in multi-languages. Because they only compare related terms, conventional LSIs are often insufficient to address the complexity of context in job matching. Extending the LSI approach can improve the vector representation of words and help you understand the context and semantic relationships in the text. Improved LSI analyzes context more precisely by using word vector representation. Improved LSI focuses on understanding semantic relationships between words in many languages to produce more accurate and relevant job matches. This paper describes the steps involved in improving LSI, such as data collection, pre-processing, linguistic feature extraction, LSI model training, and evaluation of matching results. The results show that the examined classification model has much better performance in terms of word classification. Conventional LSI has an average prediction value of 79%, once the enhanced LSI can accurately predict about 84% of the entire word, it has a reasonable capacity to recognize the actual words in a natural context.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran dalam bentuk aplikasi dan animasi merupakan beberapa jenis dari model digital yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Peningkatan pemahaman mengenai model digital menggunakan aplikasi dan animasi sebagai media pembelajaran dapat digunakan untuk membantu mempelajari pengenalan anatomi pada manusia dan hewan, salah satunya adalah mata pelajaran siswa-siswi SMKF Ikasari Pekanbaru. Pelatihan dan pembelajaran model digital ini bertujaun untuk menyampaikan informasi mengenai penggunaan aplikasi dan animasi sebagai media untuk mengenal anatomi pada manusia dan hewan melalui media visual yang menarik dan mudah dimengerti. Melalui kegiatan ini, siswa-siswi SMKF Ikasari Pekanbaru dilatih untuk dapat mempelajari dan menggunakan model digital media aplikasi dan animasi untuk mengenal anatomi pada manusia dan hewan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan siswa-siswi SMKF Ikasari Pekanbaru dapat lebih paham mengenai pembelajaran menggunakan model digital media aplikasi dan animasi. Luaran Pendidikan ini diproyeksikan terbit pada Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat ber-ISSN tidak terakreditasi dan publikasi pada media massa.

Abstract

Technology is a tool that really helps human needs to carry out daily activities very easily, quickly, and practically. Monitoring data on the cleanliness of the Kerinci Pangkalan Environment is still being carried out one by one, namely in a conventional way that has not been systemized or computerized. The large amount of cleanliness data makes the Pelalawan Environmental Service often have difficulty detecting the cleanliness of the Pangkalan Kerinci Environment. This causes much needed computer technology using a detection system. This detection is one way to detect cleanliness. The purpose of this study is to facilitate field officers in detecting the environmental cleanliness of Pangkalan Kerinci. The data collection is in the form of literature studies, interviews and observations. Quantitative methods are used in this research process to be used in conducting testing. The Pangkalan Kerinci Environmental Cleanliness Detection Support System was built with the help of Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) and firebase as a data repository. The Pangkalan Kerinci Environmental Cleanliness Detection Support System was tested using blackbox testing which was successful and a User Accaptance Test (UAT) was carried out with an average score of 90.8% from 20 respondents with the title "Very Good" which means that the officers from the Pangkalan Kerinci Environmental Cleaning Service are satisfied with the Kerinci Base Environment
