Abstract

Madhab is a certain view related to religious law which is believed to be the truth because it is obtained using the ijma or qiyas method. The school of thought has become a system and has even become a lifestyle inherent in the Nahdliyin of the Nahdatul Ulama community.This paper is a qualitative-descriptive research with a historical approach. The data collection technique uses a literature review that is relevant to the research topic. Data analysis using thematic approach (thematic approach).The results showed that the Nahdliyin Nahdlatul Ulama had applied 4 schools of thought (Shafii, Hanafi, Maliki, Hambali) in their lives, because the Ulama founders of these schools believed that the 4 schools had historical closeness to the Prophet Muhammad Saw. This means that the 4 schools of thought are in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith.Keyword: Madhab; Madhab System; Nahdlatul Ulama. Abstrak Mazhab merupakan pandangan tertentu terkait dengan hukum agama yang diyakini sebagai kebenaran karena diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode ijma atau qiyas. Mazhab telah menjadi sebuah sistem bahkan menjadi gaya hidup yang melekat dalam diri Nahdliyin komunitas Nahdlatul Ulama. Tulisan ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan historis. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan kajian pustaka (literature review) yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Analisis data dengan menggunakan pendekatan tematik (thematic approach). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para Nahdliyin Nahdlatul Ulama telah menerapkan 4 mazhab (Syafi’i, Hanafi, Maliki, Hambali) di dalam kehidupannya, karena para tokoh Ulama pendiri mazhab tersebut memiliki keyakinan bahwa ke-4 mazhab tersebut memiliki kedekatan historis dengan Nabi Muhammad Saw. Ini berarti ke-4 mazhab sesuai dengan Al-Qur’an dan Hadits.Kata Kunci: Mazhab; Sistem Bermazhab; Nahdlatul Ulama.

Abstract

Abstrak Manajemen pendidikan Islam bukan hanya berkaitan dengan upaya mencapai efisiensi administratif, tetapi juga menekankan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai Islami sebagai fondasi moral dan etika dalam penyelenggaraan lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji relevansi dan penerapan pengembangan nilai-nilai Islami dalam praktik manajemen pendidikan, khususnya pada fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yang menelaah berbagai literatur ilmiah dari jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai seperti musyawarah, kejujuran, amanah, keadilan, ihsan, serta tanggung jawab memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk sistem manajemen yang profesional, etis, dan bernuansa spiritual. Nilai-nilai tersebut diyakini mampu mendorong terciptanya budaya kerja yang harmonis dan produktif. Namun, temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Islami masih belum optimal di sejumlah institusi pendidikan, baik karena keterbatasan pemahaman maupun lemahnya komitmen pimpinan. Oleh sebab itu, penguatan pengembangan nilai-nilai Islami menjadi strategi penting untuk menumbuhkan budaya mutu, membangun karakter seluruh pelaku pendidikan, dan mewujudkan tata kelola lembaga pendidikan Islam yang bermartabat dan berdaya saing.   Abstract Islamic education management is not only concerned with achieving administrative efficiency but also emphasizes the importance of integrating Islamic values as moral and ethical foundations in the administration of educational institutions. This study aims to examine the relevance and implementation of developing Islamic values in educational management practices, particularly in the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, reviewing various scholarly literature from relevant national and international journals. The findings indicate that values such as deliberation (shura), honesty, trustworthiness (amanah), justice, excellence (ihsan), and responsibility play a significant role in shaping a professional, ethical, and spiritually nuanced management system. These values are believed to foster a harmonious and productive work culture. However, the study also reveals that the application of Islamic values remains suboptimal in several educational institutions, due to limited understanding and weak leadership commitment. Therefore, strengthening the development of Islamic values is seen as a vital strategy to cultivate a culture of quality, build the character of all education stakeholders, and realize an Islamic educational governance that is dignified and competitive.

Abstract

Canteens involve food processing, presentation, and dishwashing activities, which generate domestic wastewater daily from washing used dishes. The canteen wastewater at PT. X contains oil and fat levels exceeding the threshold of 57.4 mg/L, which can harm aquatic ecosystems by inhibiting oxygen transfer into the water and reducing dissolved oxygen concentration (Patel et al., 2021). A grease trap equipped with a plate settler slope can reduce oil and fat levels in wastewater. This experimental study used a pre-test post-test design without control. The population comprised all domestic canteen wastewater at PT. X, with a total of 24 samples (6 pre-test, 18 post-test). Sampling was conducted using grab sampling. Instruments included gravimetric measurement, pH meters, thermometers, and cameras. Data collection involved testing oil and fat levels, measuring wastewater temperature, and pH. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results showed a reduction in oil and fat levels for a 65° plate settler slope of 64.91 mg/L, for a 70° slope of 85.50 mg/L, and for a 75° slope of 92.85 mg/L. A significant difference was found among the three plate settler slopes in reducing oil and fat levels. However, none of the three slopes were effective in achieving oil levels below the standard threshold. Further research is recommended on plate settler slopes greater than 75°.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the quality assurance according to Islam and the experience of its application in Islamic-based public education institutions. Quality assurance in education and other fields has been widely practiced in Indonesia. Many experts have discussed quality assurance, but it is still in education in general, not specifically religious education. However, it is still in the aspect of education generally, not specifically religious education. Religious education has a strategic and urgent role in instilling morals/noble character in the generation of the Indonesian nation. Therefore, Islamic religious education is given special attention in the 2013 curriculum and given additional hours of study to produce a generation of people who are moral, faithful, and pious. It is said that the better generation, the better the quality assurance of education. This research was a qualitative study. It was a case study. It was at Vocational High Schools Ma'arif Nahdhatul Ulama, Garut, West Java, Indonesia (SMK Ma'arif NU Garut). This study shows that the application of quality assurance in Islam must balance the religious and rationality values so that there is no paradox between the two, as was successfully implemented at SMK Ma'arif NU Garut. This success proves that no religious values contradict rationality, so it should be used as a basis to support or complement the theory/concept and practice of quality assurance in other Islamic-based public education institutions.

Abstract

The number of fire incidents in residential areas, especially in the South Cimahi sub-district, is quite high. In the last year, there have been three fire incidents in Utama Village, South Cimahi Sub-district. This phenomenon indicates that the risk of fire in the community is still high, coupled with a lack of awareness and knowledge from the community itself. The purpose of this community service is to increase community awareness and preparedness for the risk of fire hazards. This community service is carried out through socialization and counseling methods as well as demonstrations of the use of fire extinguishers. This community service has output targets in the form of increased community knowledge, videos of the activity implementation and published journal articles. The community service that has been implemented is expected to significantly increase the knowledge of the 20 participants who attended. The results of the Pretest and Posttest showed a significant increase from an average score of 40 to 85 after being given counseling. The community also has new skills, namely being able to demonstrate how to use fire extinguishers and recognize various types of risk hazards in the home that can trigger fires, especially those caused by gas and electricity
