Abstract

Introduction: The most commonly used hypertension medications are calcium channel blockers (CCB). Their oral impact is well recognized for gingival enlargement, yet is very limited to another oral manifestations. Here, we reported a rare case of recurrent aphthous ulcer in a patient under CCB medication.Case Report: A 59-year-old male patient came to Hasanuddin University Dental Hospital with a chief complaint of recalcitrant ulcers on his mouth three weeks ago, which started to occur continuously for a year after the regular consumption of amlodipine. Intraoral examination demonstrated painful solitary white ulcer on the right ventral of the tongue and on the left buccal mucosa. The working diagnosis of recurrent aphthous ulcer et causa CCB was made. Management includes dexamethasone gargle, triamcinolone acetonide gel, and chlorhexidine gluconate, which improved significantly. The patient was suggested to do a consultation with his internist regarding drug substitution.Discussion: The incidence of oral ulcers induced by CCB is predicted to be related to immunological mechanisms. Any drug component triggers an exaggerated immune reaction directed at the surface of the epithelium, resulting in ulcer. The potential for such response depends on the drug's immunogenicity, exposure frequency, and administration route.Conclusion: Practitioners should consider the possibility of oral ulceration triggered by a specific drug, especially if any therapy does not exhibit improvement. Moreover, dental literature must explore the association between CCB and oral ulcers more since this issue has limited explanations.

Abstract

Introduction: Paracetamol is the most commonly used analgesic drug in the general population, but it can cause hypersensitivity reactions in certain individuals. This case report describes the diagnosis of erythema multiforme due to hypersensitivity to paracetamol.Case Report: An 11-year-old girl presented to her parents with chief complaints of peeling, bleeding lips, erosive lesions, and pain on the lip commissure. Anamnesis revealed that the complaints had occurred for 5 days. The patient had no history of drug or food allergies. Clinical examination showed red erosion lesions, irregular diffuse border, rough texture, pain on the vermilion of both lips, and fissured lesions, irregular, with bleeding, on the commissure of labium extra. The clinical appearance was characterized as erythema multiforme and treated with triamcinolone acetonide, which gave a good response.Discussion: Reactions to paracetamol may be due to the paracetamol-specific IgE or T cells. Some cases have been reported of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, which causes similar symptoms and can be more severe, like Steven Johnson Syndrome (SJS). An allergy panel is needed to determine the exact hypersensitivity experienced by the patient to support recovery and prevent recurrence.Conclusion: Cases of Erythema multiforme due to paracetamol ingestion are rare. However, it is important to remember that adverse drug reactions may occur in certain individuals. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen kinerja, mengidentifikasi permasalahan serta mengkaji aspek finansial pembesaran udang vaname (Penaeus vannamei), di PT Semeru Teknik Bangka Selatan. Kinerja budidaya meliputi: Average Body Weight (ABW), Average Daily Growth (ADG), Survival Rate (SR) dan Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). Identifikasi masalah menggunakan metode fishbone 4M (Man, Machine, Methode, Material). Analisis finansial meliputi: Laba/Rugi, Revenue Cost Ratio (RC/Ratio) dan Break Even Poin (BEP). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif menggunakan, SOP perusahaan dan SNI No.01-7246 Tahun 2006 tentang produksi udang vaname di tambak dengan teknologi intensif. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, kinerja budidaya diperoleh seperti ABW 5 - 7 g/ekor, ADG 0,04 - 0,39 g/hari, FCR 1,02 – 3,23 dan SR 23 % – 72 %. Nilai FCR dan SR belum mencapai target produksi Ditemukan penyakit Vibriosis yang mengakibatkan rendahnya nilai SR serta pendeknya waktu pemeliharaan. Ditemukan masalah berupa kurangnya pengetahuan pekerja, sumber air laut tercemar, tidak adanya SOP tertulis, dan kurangnya jumlah alat kualitas air. Berdasarkan analisa finansial, kerugian sebesar Rp. -278.619.417 dalam siklus ini, R/C Ratio 0.65 yang menandakan usaha ini tidak layak untuk dilanjutkan dan BEP harga sebesar Rp. - 6.811.604.348. Disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan produksi udang vaname di PT Semeru Teknik dapat dikategorikan kurang layak dan merugikan.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an infectious disease that causes death in Indonesia. This endemic disease has a high incidence rate and is a health problem related to the environment and sanitation. Problems due to limited time to consult directly with specialist doctors, it is not easy to consult with doctors at any time, and limited medical knowledge and experience, so it is difficult for the community to know and make an early diagnosis of the disease with symptoms of typhoid fever. This study created an Android-based application using a fuzzy logic algorithm for diagnosing typhoid fever. The application was built by adopting expert knowledge related to general and clinical symptoms that are often experienced by patients with typhoid fever, and data on the level of typhoid disease. Data collection was carried out through direct observation at the hospital and direct interviews with doctors. The data was processed to produce output in the form of diagnostic results and solution data recommended by the system. The application consists of 3 user levels, namely Admin who can process user data, Users who can diagnose their disease by inputting answers to questions in the application, and Experts who can process symptom data, disease level, and solution data. The research results are in the form of an application that can be used anytime as an alternative consultant that helps the community in diagnosing typhoid fever with output in the form of diagnostic results (negative typhoid, positive typhoid, or strong positive typhoid).

Abstract

Food is necessary to support daily life and in pets like cats. Pet feeders are usually carried out routinely by pet owners by taking the time to stay at home and feed the pets. With activities requiring animal owners to be outside the home for long periods, it is necessary to design a prototype that can automatically assist the process of providing food, especially dry food, to pets. So pet feeders can be carried out even though the owner is not at home and does not have spare time. The system was built using the C language related to the Code Vision tools that support the hex file compiler into the microcontroller. The research method used is the experimental method, namely conducting trials (trial and error) directly on the research object and the comparative testing method for testing the built system. The auto pet feeder prototype uses the ATMega8535 IC by utilizing a PIR (Passive InfraRed) sensor to detect movement around the animal bowl. The PIR sensor detects well as expected, and it has an effective detection range of up to 5 meters. Not only detects humans, but the PIR sensor can also detect other living things. The PIR sensor will send a signal to the microcontroller to open the valve from the food measuring station, which is driven by a DC motor based on the detected motion to drop food into the animal's bowl. PhotoDioda controls the amount of food falling into the animal's bowl. The test results of this tool show that at a distance of 0–6 meters, the PIR sensor can provide feedback or detect animal movements well.

Abstract

This training is to increase knowledge and skills in seaweed farming activities. Training is carried out with theory in the classroom and hands-on practice in the field. The training phase in class is based on theory and discussion of problems that occur in the cultivation business. At the field practice stage a performance is carried out so that farmers are able to do and apply between theory and practice. The results of the training can be directly evaluated through training in the practice of planting seaweed to harvest. In general, at the three experimental sites, kreteria growth of seaweed. The karamba system method can be a problem in handling the problem of pests and seaweed damage, this is evidenced from 3 test groups of general problems growing and developing.

Abstract

The demand for Siamese catfish seeds continues to increase every year. Therefore, it is essential to maintain high-quality seeds in adequate quantities, supported by the availability of natural feed such as bloodworms (Tubifex sp.). One of the efforts to improve hygiene and reduce pathogenic bacteria is through the sanitation treatment of feed using fermented tofu waste and mustard greens waste. The fermentation of tofu waste and mustard greens has a high protein content, which can enhance the nutritional value essential for the growth of fish seeds. The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of using hygienic bloodworms treated with fermented tofu waste and mustard greens waste on the performance of Siamese catfish seed breeding. The method employed is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA statistical tests and Tukey's post-hoc test at a 5% significance level. The sanitation treatment of feed with the addition of fermented tofu waste and mustard greens resulted in the highest nutritional content and the highest abundance of beneficial bacteria on the fifth day of maintenance. The results showed a significant effect () on the absolute growth and specific growth rate of Siamese catfish seeds. The absolute length growth of the Siamese catfish seeds was 9.37±0.044 mm, while the absolute weight growth was 0.08±0.0169 grams. The specific length growth rate of the Siamese catfish seeds was 7.10±0.017%, and the specific weight growth rate was 18.35±0.025%. The survival rate of Siamese catfish seeds across all treatments reached 98%. The sanitation treatment of natural bloodworms with fermented tofu waste and mustard greens is recommended to enhance the nutritional content of bloodworms and accelerate the growth of Siamese catfish seeds.

Abstract

Bisnis oleh-oleh khas daerah lokal menjadi salah satu bidang bisnis yang cukup popular dikalangan masyarakat hingga ke daerah dan pedesaan. Dengan modal yang tidak terlalu berat dan peluang keuntungan yang tinggi menjadikan banyak masyarakat menggandrunginya. Salah satu daerah yang terkenal dengan budaya dan keindahan alamnya yaitu Toraja, membuat para wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara tertarik untuk datang berkunjung sehingga hal ini membuat peluang bagi masyarakat ikut membuka bisnis oleh-oleh khas lokal salah satu oleh-oleh kuliner yang sangat popular adalah kue tori. Dengan banyaknya bisnis oleh-oleh khas lokal dan ditunjang dengan keindahan alam dan budaya menjadikan modal utama untuk mengembangkan usaha para pelaku bisnis lokal. Namun hal tersebut belum terselesaikan secara khususnya pada penjualan. Proses penjualan oleh-oleh masih menggunakan proses penjualan konvensional. Adanya sebuah platform digital yang dapat menampung dan mengintegrasikan para pelaku bisnis oleh-oleh khas lokal khususnya yang ada di pedesaan sehingga membantu para pelaku bisnis dalam mencapai pemasaran yang tidak hanya terpusat di desa masing-masing. Dengan adanya sebuah platform ini dapat menjadi jalan dan ruang bersama mengenal banyaknya oleh-oleh khas lokal. Dengan penerapan platform ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan para pelaku bisnis khas lokal serta sebagai tempat mengiklankan produk khas daerah kepada para wisatawan lokal maupun wisatanwan mancanegara.
