Abstract

This bibliometric analysis aims to see the opportunities and development of research trends related to mathematical critical thinking skills from 2019 to 2024. Through a bibliometric approach, this research will map publication trends based on the Scopus database by using Vos Viewer to analyze the data. The results of this study show the most publications and citations in 2020 as many as 55 publications and 777 citations, and a decrease in publications and citations from 2021 to 2024. Terms that are often related to mathematical critical thinking skills are students, problems, critical thinking, mathematics, and STEM.

Abstract

Abstrak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur yang didesain untuk menggali secara mendalam tentang pemberian scaffolding metakognitif dalam pemecahan masalah geometri terhadap data subjek-subjek bergaya belajar auditorial. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencari hasil penelitian disertasi dan artikel nasional maupun internasional terindex scopus kemudian menganalisanya sehingga diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa dengan penerapan ekspositori atau pembelajaran langsung guru dapat mengajar secara rinci dengan melakukan metode yang berbeda dan berkelanjutan secara rutin seperti menampilkan video, gambar, dan mendengarkan musik. Guru juga mengarahkan siswa untuk berdiskusi dengan temannya agar mereka saling bekerjasama dalam memahami materi yang sedang dipelajari. Guru dapat memberikan scaffolding metakognitif untuk meningkatkan pencapaian belajar siswa serta mendukung proses monitoring dan kontrol siswa-siswanya. Guru dapat menggunakan media ajar teknologi Realitas Virtual (VR) dan Augmented Reality (AR) juga semakin diperkenalkan dalam konteks pembelajaran audio visual, memungkinkan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendekati realitas dalam pemecahan masalah geometri bangun ruang.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach which aims to describe Junior High School students’ geometry understanding on quadrilateral based on van Hiele Theory and observed from students’ cognitive style. Subjects in this study were Junior High School students who were selected based on GEFT test i.e. 1 student who has Field Dependent cognitive style and 1 student who has Field Independent cognitive style. Then, subject undertook a geometry understanding test on quadrilateral material and conducted interviews to obtain data of students’ geometric understanding on quadrilateral. Subjects’ geometry understanding were described by van Hiele theory that contained van Hiele level of geometry understanding i.e. visualization, analysis, abstraction, formal deduction, and rigor. The result of this study show that there are differences in geometry understanding between student with Field Dependent cognitive style and student with Field Independent cognitive style. Student with Field Independent cognitive style has geometry understanding on quadrilateral better at each level of geometry understanding that had been achieved and was at higher level than student with Field Dependent cognitive style. Student with Field Independent cognitive style has reached the initial stage of formal deduction, while student with Field Dependent cogitive style still is at analysis level.

Abstract

The implementation of the solid waste policy in Rappocini District, Makassar City is a government step in overcoming the solid waste problem in Makassar City, especially in Rappocini District. This research focuses on the characteristics of the existing problems. The process of determining the characteristics of policy problems almost always involves the norms of legislation, local wisdom, physics formulas and others. In the policy characteristics, there are problems in the level of technical difficulty of the existing problems, the level of pluralism of the target group and the percentage of the target group to the total population. Often policy problems get solutions by decision-making groups. With descriptive qualitative research describes the problems that exist in relation to the implementation of waste management policies in Makassar City and then analyzes them to an absolute conclusion. This research uses a case study approach involving certain communities as research subjects.

Abstract

In-depth mathematics learning is considered essential because it provides a meaningful, holistic learning experience and allows students to apply knowledge in various life contexts. However, teachers still face challenges in implementing the learning model, so community service activities at the Maros Middle School Mathematics MGMP are directed at revitalizing the learning model so that students gain a more meaningful and in-depth understanding of mathematics. This activity was carried out at SMPN 1 Maros on July 23 2025. The target of this activity was Junior High School Mathematics MGMP (Subject Teachers' Conference) teachers from various schools in Maros. The number of participants was 10 teachers. The activities were carried out in the form of material presentation sessions, questions and answers and discussions, interview simulations, and self-reflection and self-assessment as a form of personal evaluation of participants' knowledge of strengthening learning concepts. The results obtained were that the PkM activities succeeded in increasing the Maros Middle School Mathematics MGMP teachers' understanding of in-depth mathematics learning by emphasizing the importance of the principles of awareness, meaning, joy, as well as the application of learning models such as PBL that are relevant to the classroom context. Through discussions, practical examples, and strengthening the competence of professional teachers, this activity emphasizes the role of teachers as the main driver in realizing mathematics learning that is adaptive, meaningful, and supports 21st century skills.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji dan memetakan model pengembangan, aspek terkait metode penelitian, serta kecenderungan (trend) penelitian pada disertasi pendidikan matematika di Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Ulasan dalam artikel dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan bagi calon mahasiswa maupun mahasiswa baru program doktor pendidikan matematika dalam memutuskan topik disertasi yang akan diambilnya dalam menyusun gagasan awal hingga proposal penelitian disertasi. Langkah-langkah yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi dan memilih disertasi pendidikan matematika yang menggunakan model pengembangan dan membaca dengan cermat bagian metode penelitian serta melakukan analisis terhadap model pengembangan yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari sembilan disertasi tahun 2022 dan 2023 yang dianalisis semuanya menggunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model Plomp, 4-D, ADDIE, Borg & Gall, dan Dick & Carey. Selanjutnya, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trend penelitian disertasi pada program doktor pendidikan matematika UNM adalah pengembangan model pembelajaran pada tingkat sekolah dan perguruan tinggi dengan cakupan lokasi penelitian masih berada di Sulawesi Selatan
