Abstract

This activity is motivated by concern for the facts of climate change occurring globally and regionally. The agreement of many countries to address this change problem has been initiated since 1990, until the most recent high-level meeting "climate adaptation summit" in 2020. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warned that there are only 12 years left or until 2030 to prevent extreme climate disasters that occur due to global warming with a maximum temperature increase of 1.5°C. In response to this, the Indonesian government has also taken a number of concrete steps in all aspects of climate change adaptation and mitigation, both at the local, regional and national levels. One of the national programs that directly touch local communities is the climate village program or known as "PROKLIM". The city of Bukittinggi has actively responded to this national program, so that two of the three climate villages developed by the Environmental Service of the city of Bukittinggi have received national awards for the achievements of their community group activities. This activity is one of the activities that is of interest to community groups in one of the climate villages in Bukittinggi City, because it sees the potential to overcome the problem of relatively high organic waste generation both in the village itself and in the nearest market location, with the use of larvae (maggot) from Black Soldier Fly which can be done in groups. It is hoped that organic waste management with the use of larvae (maggot) will not only overcome the problem of organic waste, but also at the same time increase people's income, both from selling the maggot products to fish/poultry farmers, as well as being able to be used by group members for their own business. fisheries and livestock.

Abstract

One national program that directly touches local communities is the climate village program known as "PROKLIM." The city of Bukittinggi has responded actively to this national program and has received national awards for the achievements of its activities in two community groups. The purpose of community service activities in the Climate Village Program is to increase the group's capacity in processing household organic waste through the application of Maggot cultivation from black soldier fly (BSF). The main methods of implementing the activities are training, providing assistance and companiment the target group. The activity results showed that the target group had the knowledge and skills to cultivate BSF and produce larvae/maggots. The target group had been able to produce fish/livestock feed from the larvae and developed plans to use the business results for the commercial market. One thing that becomes the next challenge is how to build continuity of feed availability for the maggot caterpillars, especially from household organic food leftovers in the group members' environment. In conclusion, the application of organic waste processing technology with maggot caterpillar cultivation is very potential to overcome the problem of waste in their neighborhood so that it can then be applied more widely in the city of Bukittinggi, to be able to overcome the problem of urban organic waste.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas proses pengembangan sumber daya manusia melalui pelatihan agribisnis pada kelompok binaan NGO Human Initiative Sumatera Barat selama program Bangun Industri Desa. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Dimana setiap indikator diberi skor menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menjukkan bahwa tingkat efektivitas proses pengembangan SDM melalui pelatihan agribisnis pada kelompok masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan perolehan persentase skor sebesar 56,37%. Dimana pada indikator penilaian kebutuhan (57,29%), sasaran ukuran pelatihan (44,53%), rancangan penyelenggaraan pelatihan (56,64%), dan materi program pelatihan masuk dalam kategori sedang (47,92%). Sedangkan pada indikator tujuan pelatihan (61,98%), prinsip pembelajaran (60,68%), dan evaluasi pelatihan (62,89%) masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini proses pengembangan SDM melalui pelatihan agribisnis pada kelompok binaan Human Initiative belum sepenuhnya efektif. Di masa yang akan datang Human Initiative selaku penyelenggara pelatihan agribisnis perlu memperhatikan penilaian kebutuhan sesuai permasalahan kelompok, sasaran ukuran pelatihan yang jelas, rancangan penyelenggaran pelatihan yang berkesinambungan, dan materi program pelatihan yang menyeluruh meliputi usaha bidang agribisnis yang dijalankan kelompok binaan.

Abstract

The waste management issue in the city of Padang, particularly the increasing accumulation of household waste, with the predominant composition being food waste, is the primary focus of this research. The research aims to investigate the policies and strategies implemented by the Padang municipal government in managing household food waste. The research method employed is qualitative, involving data collection through interviews, observations, and direct documentation. The research results indicate that the management of household food waste is still integrated within the broader framework of urban waste management. The absence of specific governance for household food waste results in a significant increase in the amount of food waste being disposed of directly in the Final Disposal Site (TPA). The study concludes that: 1) the management of household food waste is intertwined with urban waste management; 2) Specifically, the Padang city government has not yet implemented a program for managing household food waste; 3) The absence of governance for household food waste leads to a high volume of food waste being directly disposed of in the TPA; 4) Specifically, there is currently no program related to food waste reduction.

Abstract

The appeal of a product is undoubtedly linked to its packaging design. The packaging design serves as the primary identity that distinguishes a product from other similar products. This study aims to analyze the packaging design of Cikarau Tea, a product developed by students of the Agribusiness Study Program at Adzkia University, using theories of visual and practical appeal. This study uses a qualitative method that provides descriptive data on packaging design and its information that is in line with the theory and visual literature used. Data collection was carried out through observation and interview stages. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The result of this study is a visual analysis of Cikarau Tea packaging as an academic reference that can be useful for designers and business people who will make similar products

Abstract

Sampah sisa makanan (Food Waste) menjadi permasalahan utama diberbagai negara. Kemajuan zaman yang saat ini ini memasuki era globalisasi dan modernitas bagian yang tidak dapat terpisahkan dari perilaku dan kebiasaan masyarakat. Rumah tangga menjadi penghasil sampah sisa makanan (food waste) tertinggi dibandingkan sumber sampah lainnya. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan kondisi itu terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan rumah tangga menghasilkan lebih banyak sampah makanan dibandingkan sumber lainnya. Dalam membantu menjawab pertanyaan itu, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan diantaranya observasi, wawancara dan penyebaran kuesioner pada tiga ratus responden yang diambil secara acak dan terpenuhi kriteria dalam pengambilan sampel. Statistik deskriptif digunakan dalam menganalisa data survei yang disebarkan. Hasil penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa tingginya angka persentase sampah sisa makanan (food waste) berkorelasi dengan nilai dan kriteria TCR yang didapatkan senilai 53,90% yang masuk pada kategori sangat kurang baik. Hasil temuan selanjutnya, juga mengkonfirmasi bahwa ayah, ibu, dan anak (anggota keluarga) mempunyai peran masing-masing dalam proses reduksi sampah dirumah tangga.

Abstract

Community service aims to enhance family food security through the utilization of backyard land by cultivating pakcoy (Brassica Rapa Subsp. Chinensis). Pakcoy was chosen for its rapid growth, easy maintenance, and provision of nutritious harvest. The sustainable household food area approach was applied by involving families as the smallest unit in developing food security. The program includes education on farming techniques, crop diversification, and the economic benefits of utilizing backyard spaces. Through active community participation, the program successfully increased the availability of fresh vegetables for families, reduced dependence on external supplies, and stimulated local economic growth. In public service, they use the methods of lectures, discussions, questions and answers and practice. The results of the community service show that utilizing backyard land for pakcoy cultivation not only supports family food security but also yields positive impacts on economic and ecological aspects at the community level. The conclusions drawn from this community service provide a foundation for further development in efforts to achieve sustainable food security at the household level.

Abstract

The community service program titled "Utilization of Canva Application as a Promotional Design Media for Teachers of SDN 18 Kampung Durian" aims to enhance the graphic design skills of teachers through intensive training using the Canva application. This program was implemented to address the challenges faced by teachers in promoting their side business products and creating engaging teaching materials. Through lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and intensive mentoring, the program successfully improved the technical abilities of the teachers in using Canva. Evaluation results show that 85% of the teachers feel more confident and capable of producing more professional designs. This program also positively impacted the quality of school promotional materials and the teachers' side businesses, as well as increased their technological literacy and creativity. In conclusion, this training successfully achieved its goals and made a positive contribution to enhancing the quality of education and economic welfare of the teachers at SDN 18 Kampung Durian.

Abstract

Background: Stunting has become a health problem in developing countries such as Indonesia. This can provide an effect on body composition, decreasing albumin levels and immunity status. Patin fish is well-known to have a high level of protein concentration and has a positive-effect on stunting. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the nutrient compound of Patin fish protein concentrate. Methods: The research method used is experimental laboratories. The test was carried out by Association of Official Agricultural Chemists method (AOAC) 2012. Results: The results showed that Patin Fish Protein Concentrate have high protein contain. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to gather scientific evidence regarding the effects of height protein intake on improving nutritional status, linear growth, and health outcomes in children with stunting. The literature review findings indicate that Patin Fish protein concentrate holds promise as a good protein source in enhancing the nutritional status and growth of stunting children. Additionally, Patin Fish protein concentrate may provide supplementary benefits in increasing intake of omega-3 fatty acids crucial for brain development and cognitive function in children. Conclusion: However, further experimental research is warranted to validate the findings of this literature review and assess the potential of Patin Fish protein concentrate in nutritional intervention programs for effectively addressing stunting.

Abstract

Penerapan pola kemitraan agribisnis bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah keterbatasan modal dan teknologi bagi petani kecil, peningkatan mutu produk, dan masalah pemasaran. Namun pada kenyataannya penerapan kemitraan tersebut sering menghadapi masalah, baik yang bersumber dari petani mitra maupun dari pihak perusahaan yang menyebabkan kemitraan yang dibangun tidak dapat berkelanjutan. Melihat potensi dan tantangan penerapan pola kemitraan sebagai suatu inovasi dalam peningkatan kinerja petani kecil, maka penting menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya penerapan pola kemitraan agribisnis dan merumuskan strategi kemitraan yang berkelanjutan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembangunan disektor pertanian di Indonesia, pembangunan pertanian berbasis kemitraan, faktor yang menjadi penentu keberhasilan dalam kemitraan agribisnis dan kelemahan dalam kemitraan Agribisnis. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi literature. Kondisi sektor pertanian di Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik dari segi internal maupun eksternal. Dalam Pembangunan pertanian menitikberatkan pada kolaborasi antara petani dengan stakeholder terkait yang bergerak di sektor pertanian.   Faktor yang menjadi penentu keberhasilan dalam kemitraan agribisnis meliputi: 1) Sumberdaya (baik sumberdaya alam maupun sumberdaya manusia); 2) Teknologi (melibatkan sarana, prasarana, dan metode); 3) Modal; dan 4) Pasar (mencakup aspek konsumen). Penerapan kemitraan agribisnis merupakan hal yang penting dalam rangka mencapai mutu produk sesuai kebutuhan konsumen, spesialisasi kegiatan untuk efisiensi, dan wadah kerjasama pemerintah dan swasta dalam penyelenggaraan penyuluhan pertanian.
