Abstract

In the process of nurturing and educating children, not all parents appreciate the talents possessed by their children. Parents only educate children in general terms, such as educating children to have good behavior, educating children to study hard without paying attention to children's interests and talents so that children's talents cannot develop optimally due to lack of support from parents. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of parents in developing early childhood talents with parenting styles that are applied by parents at home. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by taking data from a questionnaire distributed to respondents, namely parents and guardians of children who live in Cirebon and Majalengka. The results of this study are that 91.3% of parents and guardians of children have implemented democratic parenting in their care and as many as 8.7% of parents and guardians of students still apply permissive parenting. In this case, parents also play an important role in developing children's talents, namely as motivators and facilitators.

Abstract

Attractive learning media become an attraction in early childhood learning. The use of media can provides convenience for teachers of Early childhood education (PAUD) in delivering material to be given to children. This study aims to conduct development research in making learning media. The media developed is alphabet flannel board (letter board). This media development was carried out for the introduction of early literacy, using the Research and Development (R & D) research model. The stages of R & D research include potential problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design revisions, products, small-scale product trials, large-scale trials and mass production. In this study not all stages are carried out considering the limited time and cost so that the research only reaches the stage of feasibility validation and design revision to be the final product. Feasibility of the Alphabet Flannel Board is validated by the expert and the assessment of the user in this case PAUD teacher. Based on data analysis, the results of this study indicate that the Alphabet Flannel Board is quite feasible to be used as media. The mean value of the validation shows 3.25 of a scale of 5 which means it's quite decent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upaya upaya lembaga dalam menangkal radikalisme pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam hal ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dimana data data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan analisa lapangan dalam observasi serta catatan dokumentasi diolah secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan kenyataan di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan upaya pencegahan radikalisme dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dan guru lembaga PAUD. Kepala sekolah melakukan upaya berupa perekrutan guru yang selektif. Dalam proses perekrutan terdapat aturan aturan yang harus ditaati. Pemilihan bahan ajar dilakukan pengawasan oleh kepala sekolah, sehingga bebas dari konten radikalisme. Upaya ini menyadarkan para pendidik bahwa ketidakhati hatian memilih buku ajar dapat berakibat fatal di kemudian hari. Pengenalan kebhinekaan melalui simulasi yang dilakukan oleh guru, serta sinergitas dengan orangtua anak didik dalam beberapa kegiatan seperti parenting. Guru berperan dalam mendidik karakter anak dengan karakter (teladan) dan membingkai kebhinekaan dalam bermain peran untuk anak usia dini. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa simulasi bermain peran kebhinekaan dapat menjadi satu upaya pencegahan radikalisme.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini disebabkan oleh minimnya penggunaan media atau alat peraga edukatif untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar, sehingga pada penyampaian materi kurang tersampaikan dengan baik terutama pada pembelajaran Matematika awal. Guru sebagai pendidik yang mengajarkan matematika pada anak usia dini membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan. Pemilihan media dapat mempengaruhi kegiatan pembelajaran, dimana media dapat memudahkan dalam penyampaian materi salah satunya dengan menggunakan media aplikasi paint. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-test and Post-test Group. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu anak kelompok B PAUD Al-Wahid Losari Cirebon. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas data, uji homogenitas, uji t, uji validitas, dan uji reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: (1) Penerapan media aplikasi paint pada anak di di PAUD Al-Wahid Losari Cirebon dengan mengenalkan warna, bentuk geometri, dan angka menggunakan laptop dan bantuan mouse. Penerapan media komputer aplikasi paint  tidak dalam bentuk kelompok, melainkan perorangan atau individual (2) Kemampuan matematika awal anak kelompok B setelah menggunakan media aplikasi paint berdasarkan hasil rata-rata nilai prosentase sebesar 76,33%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa respon anak-anak setelah menggunakan media aplikasi paint termasuk ke dalam kriteria sangat baik karena nilai 76 berada pada interval 51-75%.  (3) Pengaruh media aplikasi paint terhadap kemampuan matematika awal pada anak kelompok B berdasarkan hasil analisis data dikatakan bahwa penggunaan media aplikasi paint berpengaruh sebesar 70,80  dilihat dari hasil uji t Paired Samples sebesar 70,80 dan pada uji  Paired Samples Test nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000. Karena nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05 dan thitung (5,624) lebih besar dari ttabel (2,262) maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. artinya terdapat peningkatan kemampuan Matematika awal pada anak usia dini kelompok B di PAUD Al-Wahid Losari Cirebon, setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan media aplikasi paint

Abstract

Second hand goods are products has been unused or no longer required, but second hand goods still have useful if processed back properly.This research aims to review the extent to which perception parents have early childhood on the use second hand goods to be used as a gaming console. educativeThis study using descriptive approach by using a method of. Survey. Data collection is done using a questionnaire distributed to 25 parents who became a sample of his observations research is that most parents from early childhood of several cities in the west java have been enough to have understanding on the use thrift as educational gaming console child especially to lessons learned from the house.

Abstract

Language is an important comunication tool for everyone, including for early childhood. With language, early childhood can express feelings, thoughts, share experiences and knowledge, and socialize. Therefore language skills need to be developed, especially tor early childhood. This research aims to determine the language development of early childhood through educational computer games at school, how the effect of educational computer games on the language skills for early childhood. This study is a pre-experimental method with the one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that 56 % of early childhood language skills are influenced by educational computer games, while the remaining 44 % were influenced by other factors that were not the focus of this study, then there is a significant positive effect on language skills based on the educational computer games coefficient value (X) on language skills (Y) of 0.730 which indicates the direction of positive influence and based on the t-test, the results of tcount = 11.179 2.039 = ttable. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of educational computer games on early childhood language skills.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the internalization of hadith values in early childhood. Using a qualitative descriptive approach this research was conducted at PAUD IT An Najah Klaten. Data analysis was obtained from the results of interviews, observation and documentation of activities. The data obtained were then analyzed and resulted in the conclusion that PAUD IT An Najah conducted a program of Clean and Healthy Life Behavior (PHBS) as an effort to internalize the value of hygiene hadith values. Some PHBS activities carried out include: Hand Washing with Soap (CTPS) both before and after activities, brushing teeth, consuming healthy snacks by setting the snack time menu, using clean and healthy latrines and disposing of garbage in its place.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) project-based learning (PjBL) with Ecoprint activities on developing creative thinking skills in early childhood. A mixed-methods concurrent embedded design was adopted, focusing on preschool children aged 4-6 years from two educational institutions in Karangsari Village, Cirebon District. The study engaged 30 participants in Ecoprint activities, utilizing natural materials to create prints on paper and fabric. These activities were framed within the STEAM PjBL methodology, encompassing stages of Reflection, Research, Discovery, Application, and Communication to facilitate a comprehensive earning experience. Qualitative data, collected through interviews with educators and observations of the Ecoprint projects, were complemented by quantitative assessments of the children's development of creative thinking skills. This dual approach allowed for a rich, multifaceted analysis of the learning processes and outcomes. The creative thinking abilities of the participants were evaluated using a standardized rating scale aligned with criteria set forth by the Ministry of Education and Culture, tracking progress from initial baselines to post-intervention stages. The findings indicate a notable enhancement in creative thinking among the children, with a significant majority advancing from lower levels of creative dev. Children can select and sort the base color materials from the collected leaves. At this stage, the potential of STEAM PjBL, combined with hands-on, environmentally focused artistic activities like Ecoprint, is to enrich early childhood education by fostering creative, innovative thinking. The study's implications extend to curriculum development, advocating for including interdisciplinary, experiential learning strategies that blend scientific inquiry with artistic creativity. However, the research is limited by its scope and its participants' demographic and geographic characteristics. Future studies are recommended to explore the scalability of this approach and its long-term impacts across diverse educational settings, potentially offering valuable insights into the role of integrated STEAM education in nurturing holistic cognitive development in young learners.

Abstract

The ability to think symbolically is one of the essential aspects of cognitive development to be achieved by early childhood. However, reality shows that some children's ability to think symbolically still needs to be achieved optimally. For this reason, a learning media that functions as an educational game tool is used, namely a number piggy bank. For this reason, this study aims to determine the role of using number piggy banks in learning in early childhood classes in the age range of 5-6 years. Furthermore, it is to determine the effect of using the media on developing their symbolic thinking skills. The type of research used in this study is mixed-method. The data analysis technique used was descriptive and statistical analysis using the chi-squared method (?²). The data collection techniques were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the number piggy bank was declared to affect symbolic thinking skills in children aged 5-6 at a kindergarten in Kuningan Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is based on observations of teacher and student activities, which show 82.3% after using the number piggy bank media and 78.6% in the results of symbolic thinking abilities in children aged 5-6 years obtaining BSH qualifications (developing as expected). As well as the results of validity tests and statistical calculations, the use of number piggy banks affects the ability to think symbolically in children aged 5-6 years obtained Z-count (44.15) > Z-table (1.879).   Abstrak Kemampuan berpikir simbolik merupakan salah satu aspek perkembangan kognitif yang penting untuk dicapai oleh anak usia dini. Namun realita menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir simbolik pada beberapa anak masih belum tercapai secara optimal. Untuk itu digunakanlah sebuah media pembelajaran yang sekaligus berfungsi sebagai alat permainan edukatif, yaitu celengan angka. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penggunaan media celengan angka dalam pembelajaran di kelas anak-anak usia dini dalam rentang usia 5-6 tahun. Selanjutnya ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media tersebut terhadap perkembangan kemampuan berpikir simbolik mereka. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed-method. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik berupa metode chi-kuadrat (?²). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media celengan angka dinyatakan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Lestari Kecamatan Cibingbin Kabupaten Kuningan. Hal tersebut berdasarkan observasi terhadap aktivitas guru dan siswa yang menunjukkan persentase sebesar 82,3% setelah penggunaan media celengan angka dan 78,6% dihasil kemampuan berpikir simbolik pada anak usia 5-6 tahun memperoleh kualifikasi BSH (bekembang sesuai harapan). Serta hasil uji validitas dan perhitungan secara statistik penggunaan media celengan angka berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik pada anak usia 5-6 tahun diperoleh Z-hitung (44,15) > Z-tabel (1,879).
