Abstract

Tabam waters are waters in Ternate City where the average population works as fishermen using gillnet fishing gear with the target fish being tuna (Eutynnus affinis) locally called Tongkol. Fishing activities in this area are generally carried out around FADs. Fishing that is carried out on an increasing basis and accompanied by an increase in gillnet fishing gear can endanger the sustainability of mackarel tuna/ tuna fish/komo tuna. Therefore, to maintain the sustainability of tuna fish resources in Tabam waters, an assessment of the biological status is needed which includes the structure of length, weight, circumference, growth patterns, and age groups. Establish guidelines for fishermen on the appropriate size of tuna to be harvested in order to preserve the sustainability of the tuna population. This research was conducted in December 2018-March 2019, using a sample size of 200 fish, using a survey method. The survey was conducted by examining the technical characteristics of gillnet fishing gear, FAD aids, and tuna catches. The results showed that the average fish caught was gilled with an isometric growth form and the average age group of tuna fish was around 21.7 cm, 17.2 cm, 18.9 cm, and 21.0 cm.Keywords:GillnetFADSAsessingKomoTunaTabam

Abstract

Rumpon merupakan salah satu alat bantu penangkapan ramah lingkungan yang berfungsi untuk mengumpulkan ikan dan dapat dijadikan sebagai fishing ground. Penelitian dilaksanakan di perairan Pulau Banyak Kabupaten Aceh Singkil pada bulan Desember 2022 sampai Januari 2023. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk melihat komposisi hasil tangkapan ikan yang tertangkap di area rumpon laut dangkal perairan Pulau Banyak Kabupaten Aceh Singkil. Metode penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi total hasil tangkapan pancing ulur di sekitar rumpon laut dangkal perairan Pulau Banyak Kabupaten Aceh Singkil didapatkan 10 jenis spesies dari 5 famili. Spesies yang dominan tertangkap yaitu famili Serranidae dengan 4 spesies, diikuti famili Carangidae dengan 3 spesies, famili Scombridae 1 spesies, famili Lutjanidae 1 spesies, dan famili Lethrinidae 1 spesies. Komposisi jenisnya terdiri dari ikan tongkol (Euthynus affinis) sebesar 18%, snapper (Lutjanus ducussatus) sebesar 25%, asuan (Letinus miniatus) sebesar 6,25%, kuwe (Carangoides ignobilis) sebesar 12,5 %, kerapu (Epinephelinae sp.) sebesar 6,25%, kerapu sunuk (Plectromus leopardus) sebesar 6,25%, kerapu macan (Ephipelus fuscoguttatus) sebesar 6,25%, kerapu kayu (Epinephelus tauvina) sebesar 6,25%, talang (Scomberoides tala) sebesar 6,25%, dan ikan sunglir (Elagatis bipinnulata) sebesar 6,25%.

Abstract

Grouper is a type of fish that has economic value, thus encouraging fishermen to continue exploiting it regardless of its size. Total length research on three grouper species Plectropomus leopardus, Variola louti and Variola albimarginata was conducted in Simeulue Regency with the aim of analyzing frequency distribution. Data were collected from early January to early February 2024. The collected data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel, and displayed in graphical form. The results showed that the type of Plectropomus leopardus has a size between 16-64 cm, the largest number of sizes is 34-39 cm with a total of 122 individuals. Grouper Variola louti with a total length between 20-55 cm, size 28-31 cm is the largest total length size of 173 individuals. While grouper Variola albimarginata has a size between 16-58 cm, 298 individuals of which have a size of 26-30 cm. From this study, it can be concluded that the groupers recorded are predominantly female.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kuantitas kandungan logam berat jenis timbal (Pb), kadmium (Cd), besi (Fe), merkuri (Hg), dan minyak solar di estuaria Krueng Cangkoi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Krueng Cangkoi, Desa Padang Seurahet, Kecamatan Meureubo, Meulaboh, Aceh Barat. Analisa data dan proses penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Badan Riset dan Standardisasi Industri Daerah (BARISTAND) Kota Banda Aceh pada bulan Desember 2014 sampai dengan Januari 2015. Penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan data diperoleh berdasarkan uji Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom terhadap kandungan logam berat jenis Pb, Cd, Fe, Hg, dan minyak solar di 5 (lima) titik sampel. Di dapatkan hasil tingkat kandungan logam berat Cd (0,14 mg/L) dan Fe (0,56 mg/L) di Krueng Cangkoi telah melampaui ambang batas baku mutu berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah No: 82/2001 yaitu 0,01 mg/L pada Cd dan 0,3 mg/L pada Fe. Hasil indeks pencemaran di Krueng Cangkoi didapatkan nilai indeks pencemaran Fe yaitu 1,76 mg/L tergolong cemar ringan dan nilai indeks pencemaran Cd yaitu 3,91 mg/L tergolong cemar sedang berdasarkan baku mutu KeMenLH No: 115/2003.The objective of research to analyzed quantity of heavy metals types of: lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), iron (Fe), mercury (Hg) and diesel fuel in estuaries of Krueng Cangkoi. Sampling was conducted on December 2014 until January 2015 in estuaries Krueng Cangkoi, Meulaboh, West Aceh. The data analyzed and research process at the Laboratory Research and Standardization Industry (BARISTAND) Banda Aceh. The research used purposive sampling method and the data was obtained by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method test for heavy metal content types of: Pb, Cd, Fe, Hg and diesel fuel at 5 (five) sites sampling. The results of level of heavy metals Cd (0,14 mg/L) and Fe (0,56 mg/L) in Krueng Cangkoi has exceeded the quality standard threshold base on Government Regulation No: 82/2001 was 0,01 mg/L in Cd and 0,3 mg/L in Fe. The results of pollution index in Krueng Cangkoi obtained pollution index values of Fe was 1,76 mg/L classified of lightly-polluted and pollution index values of Cd was 3,91 mg/L classified of moderately-polluted based on quality standard of KemenLH No: 115/2003.

Abstract

Beberapa spesies ikan tuna mulai terancam ketersediaannya. Upaya untuk mewujudkan pemanfaatan yang optimal dan berkelanjutan sangat dibutuhkan, sehingga perlu dilakukan monitoring, evaluasi dan perbandingan terhadap pemanfaatan tuna sirip kuning. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji dan meganalisis pola pertumbuhan dan mortalitas tuna sirip kuning di PPI Ujong Baroh. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengamatan dan pengukuran sampel tuna sirip kuning dilakukan secara langsung dari hasil tangkapan nelayan. Selanjutnya pengumpulan data tuna sirip kuning meliputi jumlah hasil tangkapan serta pengukuran karakter morfometrik yaitu panjang cagak (FL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefision ukuran panjang maksimum (L∞) yaitu sebesar 97,65 cm, dengan pendugaan panjang tuna sirip kuning pertama kali tertangkap (LC) pada ukuran panjang cagak (FL) 56,43 cm.  Nilai laju pertumbuhan (K) sebesar 0,80 pertahun, laju mortalitas total (Z) sebesar 0,26 pertahun, mortalitas alami (M) sebesar 0,76 pertahun, mortalitas penangkapan (F) sebesar -0,50 pertahun. Rata-rata ikan tuna sirip kuning yang tertangkap berukuran kecil dan belum matang gonad (Lc<Lm) dengan tingkat pertumbuhan lebih cepat serta kematian alami lebih besar dari pada penangkapan. Kegiatan penangkapan tuna sirip kuning yang di daratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh merupakan perikanan skala kecil dengan nilai eksploitasi (E) sebesar -1,94 pertahun yang tegolong under fishing berdasarkan dari nilai M (F<M).  Several species of tuna fish are starting to face threats to their availability. Efforts to achieve optimal and sustainable utilization are crucial, requiring monitoring, evaluation, and comparison of the utilization of yellowfin tuna. The research aim is to examine and analyze the growth and mortality patterns of yellowfin tuna in Ujong Baroh Fish Landing Base (PPI). The method in this research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The observation and measurement of yellowfin tuna samples are directly conducted from the fishermen's catch. Data collection of yellowfin tuna includes the quantity of catches and measurements of morphometric characteristics, specifically fork length (FL). The research results show that the maximum length coefficient (L∞) is 97,65 cm, with an estimated length at first capture at a fork length (FL) of 56,43 cm. The value of growth rate (K) of 0,80 per year, total mortality rate (Z) of 0,26 per year, natural mortality (M) of 0,76 per year, fishing mortality (F) is -0,50 per year. On average, the yellowfin tuna caught are small and immature gonads (Lc<Lm) with a faster growth rate and greater natural mortality than those caught in the fishery. The fishing activity of yellowfin tuna landed at PPI Ujong Baroh are small-scale fishery with an exploitation value (E) of -1.94 per year which is classified as under fishing based on the M value (F<M).
