Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of supportive therapy for families of schizophrenia clients. The research method uses a systematic review approach. The research results show that supportive therapy is effective for families in clients treating schizophrenia. In conclusion, providing supportive therapy helps families understand obstacles and problems in treatment by resolving them using adaptive coping by utilizing internal and external sources of support. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) on the quality of life in patients with depression and anxiety. The research method used is a systematic review through searching for articles adapted to the formulation of research questions using the PICO formula in online databases (PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect). The articles reviewed met the inclusion criteria and the articles were published between 2010 and 2023. The search results found 8 articles with research showing that acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an effective intervention for reducing symptoms of depression, both face-to-face and Web-based. In conclusion, to improve the quality of life of depressed patients with anxiety, therapy can be carried out on these individuals by carrying out acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of family psychoeducation in caring for family members with schizophrenia. The method used in this study is to use a literature review approach. The databases used in the literature search were Pubmed, Science direct, Scopus, and Spinger link using the keywords family psychoeducation, family intervention, schizophrenia, caregiver burden, family burden. The results showed that family psychoeducation can increase family knowledge, reduce anxiety and reduce family burden in caring for patients with schizophrenia. The conclusion based on the analyzed articles is that family psychoeducation is effective in improving the family's ability to care for family members with schizophrenia. Abstract

Isolasi sosial merupakan suatu pengalaman menyendiri dan kesepian dari seseorang dan perasaan segan terhadap orang lain sebagai sesuatu yang negatif atau keadaan yang mengancam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran tentang manajemen kasus spesialis keperawatan jiwa pada klien isolasi sosial terhadap penurunan tanda dan gejala isolasi sosial serta peningkatan kemampuan klien dalam ketrampilan sosial. Terapi spesialis keperawatan yang diberikan adalah Social Skill Training (SST), Cognitive Behavior Social Skill Training (CBSST) dan Family Psychoeducation (FPE). SST diberikan pada 21 klien, SST+CBSST diberikan pada 7 klien dan FPE diberikan pada 12 keluarga. Hasil yang ditemukan SST dan CBSST efektif dalam menurunkan tanda dan gejala isolasi sosial yang ditunjukkan melalui respon kognitif, afektif, fisiologis, perilaku dan sosial serta meningkatkan kemampuan klien dalam ketrampilan sosial. FPE terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat klien isolasi sosial. SST, CBSST, dan FPE direkomendasikan sebagai terapi spesialis keperawatan pada klien isolasi sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions on parenting stress in mothers with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The method used is a systematic review through article searches adjusted for formulating research questions with the PICO formula in the EBSCOhost, EMBASE, Clinicalkey for Nursing, Proquest, ScienceDirect, and Scopus databases. The study results show that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can effectively reduce anxiety, stress, and the burden of caring for mothers with children with ASD. In conclusion, interventions through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy have proven effective in reducing anxiety, stress, and the responsibility of caring for mothers with children with ASD. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the benefits of supportive therapy in reducing anxiety in students who are victims of bullying behavior. The research method used was a systematic review through article searches adjusted to formulating research questions with the PICO formula in the ProQuest, EBSCOhost, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, and Clinicalkey for Nursing databases. The results showed that supportive therapy effectively reduced anxiety in students who were victims of bullying behavior. In conclusion, supportive treatment has proven effective as an intervention in reducing stress in students who are victims of bullying behavior. Keywords: Bullying, Anxiety, Supportive Therapy

Abstract

Adolescents are tasked with developing identity vs. role confusion, where the search for identity will shape the individual's character. There has been an increase in the use of social media among adolescents, causing an increase in the number of depression in adolescents. The need for promotive and preventive efforts to prevent depression in adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of therapeutic group therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy in preventing depression in adolescent social media users. This study was conducted on 70 students aged 15-18 years old using a purposive sampling technique according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study uses a quasi-experimental pre-post-test design with intervention and control groups. The intervention group was given therapeutic and cognitive behavioral therapy, and the control group was given therapeutic group therapy without cognitive behavioral therapy. The results of this study indicate a significant effect on the control group. The combination of therapeutic group therapy therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy can be recommended as a therapy for reducing depression in adolescent social media users.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the second most prevalent type of cancer and one of the leading causes of mortality. Efforts to reduce mortality rates can be achieved by empowering patients to manage symptoms caused by cancer and the side effects of treatment therapies. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of empowerment education in increasing self-efficacy in breast cancer patients. The study employed a systematic review of eight articles sourced from various databases, including ProQuest, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, Sage Journal, Google Scholar, and PubMed. A total of 8,693 articles were retrieved from seven databases. After screening based on inclusion criteria, 638 articles were deemed eligible. Based on the selection of titles, abstracts, and full texts, 22 articles were chosen, and after duplicate elimination, 10 articles were analyzed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) quality assessment tool. The analysis results indicated that the empowerment approach is effective in improving self-efficacy and quality of life in breast cancer patients. By utilizing empowerment education, healthcare professionals can provide holistic support to patients, improve therapeutic outcomes, and reduce breast cancer mortality rates. This study recommended the integration of empowerment education as an essential component of breast cancer management in various healthcare facilities.

Abstract

Background: Disasters are still one of the major phenomena that occur in Indonesia. In the period of February 2024, there were 173 disasters that hit the territory of Indonesia. Natural cause enormous physical and economic destruction, as well as many lives lost. Another impact of disasters is psychosocial problems, such as anxiety and depression. Anxiety and depression can be experienced by various populations. The most vulnerable population is adolescents. Purpose: To analyse the effects of cognitive behaviour therapy for anxiety and depression in children's and adolescents' post-disaster Method: A systematic review with article selection guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The systematic review process begins with the formulation of clinical questions relevant to the topic. Before this, the authors establish PICOS criteria, which stand for: P (problem, patient, or population), I (intervention, prognostic factor, or exposure), C (comparison or control), O (outcome), and S (study design). For this article, P: Children and adolescents post-disaster, I: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), C: No therapy or standard care, O: Reduction in anxiety and depression, and S: Randomized controlled trial. The article search was conducted systematically using the keywords: “Cognitive Behaviour Therapy” OR “CBT” AND “Anxiety” AND “Depression” AND “Children” AND “Adolescent” AND “Disaster”. Results: A review of eight articles showed that Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is effective in reducing anxiety and depression in children and adolescents post-disaster. Compared to other therapies, CBT demonstrates a higher level of effectiveness, including in its modified and developed forms. Its application, when conducted following general procedures while considering cultural aspects and individual characteristics, yields significant results in psychological recovery. Conclusion: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be effective in overcoming anxiety and depression in children and adolescents after disasters, with a better level of effectiveness than other therapies, including in modified forms. The application of CBT that considers cultural aspects and individual characteristics can significantly improve therapy outcomes.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kanker merupakan penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas global, gangguan tidur yang sering terjadi pada pasien kanker baik yang disebabkan oleh penyakit itu sendiri maupun efek samping  pengobatannya. Gangguan tidur dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup serta prognosis pasien. Salah satu pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengurangi dampak tersebut adalah intervensi terapi modalitas Non-Farmakologi  Tujuan: mengevaluasi efektivitas terapi modalitas non-farmakologis dalam mengatasi gangguan tidur pada pasien kanker, melalui analisis sistematik literatur. Metode: Tinjauan sistematis dilakukan dengan merumuskan pertanyaan PICO dan mengidentifikasi studi relevan melalui pencarian di beberapa database seperti Wiley, ProQuest, JSTOR, ScienceDirect, Sage Journal dan Google Scholar, Kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi diterapkan sesuai dengan pedoman PRISMA. Hasil: Penelusuran melalui tujuh database, ditemukan 2.912.212 artikel. Setelah skrining terdapat 36.351 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Setelah seleksi berdasarkan judul, abstrak, dan teks lengkap,10 artikel terpilih untuk dianalisis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terapi non-farmakologis, termasuk terapi Thaichi, Breathing Exercise, mindfulness, Aromaterapi, Five Finger, Guide Imagery dan Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas tidur dan mengurangi gejala insomnia pada pasien kanker. Kesimpulan: Pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan terapi modalitas non-farmakologis dengan manajemen psikologis dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien kanker, terutama dalam mengatasi gangguan tidur. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengeksplorasi kombinasi intervensi yang paling efektif.
