Abstract

Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (ERQ-CA). Kata Kunci: kelekatan orang tua-anak, regulasi emosi, remaja Correlation Between Parent–Child Attachment and Emotion Regulation Among Adolescents in Jakarta ABSTRACTParent–child attachment refers to the quality of the emotional bond developed through warm, responsive, and consistent interactions, which plays a crucial role in the development of adolescents’ emotional regulation abilities. Objective: This research aims to examine the correlation between parent–child attachment and emotion regulation among adolescents in Jakarta. Methods: This was an analytical cross-sectional research. The sample was selected using probability sampling through a cluster sampling technique, involving 428 adolescents aged 13–19 years from several secondary schools in Jakarta. Data were collected using the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment–Revised (IPPA-R) and the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (ERQ-CA). The survey was conducted between February and March 2025, and bivariate analysis was performed using Pearson correlation tests. Results: The average parent–child attachment score was 55.34. A total of 239 adolescents (55.8%) had high attachment levels, while 189 adolescents (44.2%) had low levels of attachment. The most dominant attachment dimension was trust (56.8%), followed by alienation (24.4%) and communication (18.8%). A significant negative correlation was found between parent–child attachment and emotion regulation (p = 0.036; r = –0.101). Discussion: High attachment levels do not automatically lead to better emotional regulation; rather, the imbalance among attachment dimensions—particularly high alienation and low communication—may hinder adolescents’ ability to regulate emotions adaptively. Conclusion: Nurses are encouraged to conduct emotional alienation screening among adolescents and develop family-based interventions focusing on enhancing communication and reducing alienation. Integration of attachment-focused content into school curricula and digital campaigns is recommended as part of adolescent mental health promotion efforts. Keywords: parent–child attachment, emotion regulation, adolescents

Abstract

In countries such as Indonesia, Tuberkulosis (TB) is one of the most prevalent infectious diseases in the world. Active tuberculosis patients can prevent the evolution of tuberculosis through isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT). However, adherence to this regimen is particularly low among family members of tuberculosis patients. This study[A1] [A2] aims to explore the factors influencing compliance with IPT among family members of tuberculosis patients and assess the impact of family and community support on compliance. Various studies relating to IPT adherence were reviewed, especially in high TB burden areas such as Greater Jakarta. Socioeconomic status and education level, as well as awareness regarding TB prevention, were found to influence the level of adherence of respondents. Community and family involvement and education on TB, social stigma, and how to overcome it were found to significantly help in controlling medication adherence and the spread/transmission of TB. The results of this study support the strengthening of initiatives aimed at TB control, especially in households with high risk of TB exposure.

Abstract

Background: Psychological capital (Psycap), encapsulates positive mental attributes such as hope, resilience, optimism, and one’s ability to positively reframe a situation, all of which shape an individual’s responses to and management of challenges. The adolescence period is crucial to the development of Psychological capital (Psycap), and the extent to which it is cultivated will determine levels of happiness in one’s future. Its role within the unique socio-educational environment, however, is still unresolved in the context of Islamic boarding schools. Purpose: The objective of this research was to analyze the correlation of Psychological Capital (PsyCap) with the Subjective Well-Being (SWB) of youth in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools. Methods: Information was obtained through a cross-sectional survey distributed to 208 adolescents. The Psychological Capital Questionnaire was administered to gauge the PsyCap. The Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), in conjunction with the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), was employed to measure subjective well-being (SWB). For data analysis, descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation were used. Results: This investigation determined that mean scores for all PsyCap components and SWB besides observed the clearly connected data that as PsyCap increased, SWB also appeared to elevate. Among components, hope demonstrated the strongest correlation (r = 0.444, p<0.001), followed by optimism (r = 0.407, p<0.001), efficacy (r = 0.364, p<0.001), and resilience (r = 0.363, p<0.001). Conclusion: All PsyCap components positively correlated with subjective well-being and with hope being the strongest predictor. This underscores the significance of hope-augmentation PsyCap interventions within the context of a boarding school to aid in the development and well-being of adolescents.

Abstract

Elderly patients face various surgical risks, including complications, slower recovery, prolonged hospital stays, functional decline, and even death. Early ambulation is beneficial in reducing these risks in older adults. However, elderly patients often lack motivation to ambulate due to insufficient understanding and family support, leading to longer bed rest. Aim : To evaluate the impact of early ambulation as an intervention to enhance postoperative recovery in elderly patients. Methods: This is a systematic review study with a PICO approach. Article searches were conducted using online databases such as EBSCO, PubMed, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Scopus with the keywords (Elderly OR Older Adult) AND (Post Operative OR Post Surgery) AND (Early Ambulation OR Early Mobilization) AND (Reduce Length of Stay) published between 2014–2024 and The 5 relevant articles were found. Results: Five studies indicated that the implementation of early ambulation programs in elderly surgical patients not only reduces length of stay but also improves functional capacity and decreases the incidence of complications such as pneumonia, atelectasis, and venous thrombosis. Conclusion: The studies show that early mobilization reduces hospital stays, accelerates organ function recovery, and provides psychological benefits, such as reduced postoperative anxiety.
