Abstract

Tidur merupakan salah satu masalah umum yang terjadi pada lansia. Masalah tidur yang ditemukan pada lansia di salah satu Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha di Jakarta Timur adalah insomnia. Insomnia merupakan masalah tidur yang ditandai dengan kesulitan memulai tidur, terbangun di malam hari, dan bangun lebih awal di pagi hari. Penatalaksanaan insomnia perlu diberikan pada lansia dengan insomnia. Salah satu intervensi yang diberikan pada klien dengan insomnia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha yaitu relaksasi otot progresif. Tujuan relaksasi otot progresif untuk mengurangi gejala insomnia yang ada pada lansia. Relaksasi otot progresif dilakukan setiap hari sebanyak dua sesi dan selama empat minggu. Setelah diberikan intervensi selama empat minggu, terjadinya penurunan gejala insomnia pada klien ditandai dengan peningkatan kualitas tidur dan penurunanan latensi tidur. Keefektifan relaksasi otot progresif pada klien dengan insomnia ditandai juga dengan penurunan nilai Insomnia Severity Index klien dari 17 menjadi 15 dan The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index dari 8 menjadi 5.

Abstract

Dukungan keluarga merupakan support system yang penting, diberikan oleh keluarga untuk mencegah dari gangguan mental dalam mengatasi beban keluarga. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi “hubungan dukungan keluarga dan beban keluarga dalam merawat anggota dengan riwayat perilaku kekerasan”. Desain penelitian kuantitatif berupa descriptive correlational dengan rancangan cross sectional, dengan sampel yang berjumlah 50 orang. Instrumen dukungan keluarga dan beban keluarga dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan antara dukungan keluarga (dukungan informasi, emosional, instrumental dan penilaian) dan beban keluarga dalam merawat anggota dengan riwayat perilaku kekerasan di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Islam Klender Jakarta Timur. Abstract

Pasien pasung yang telah pulang dari rumah sakit jiwa (RSJ) oleh keluarga akan berpotensi untuk dipasung kembali. Tujuan penelitian menguraikan pengalaman keluarga dalam merawat pasien pascapasung. Desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengambilan purposive sampling dengan wawancara mendalam. Kriteria inklusi caregiver yang mempunyai anggota keluarga pernah dipasung sebelum dan sesudah dirawat di RSJ dan mampu berkomunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga pasien pascapasung mengalami beban emosional dan kelelahan fisik. Rekomendasi penelitian adalah berupa pengembangan pelayanan keperawatan jiwa di masyarakat dan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan dengan cara penanganan pasien gangguan jiwa dengan perilaku agresif. Abstract Phenomenology Study on the Family’s Experience in Caring for Client Post Restraint (Seclusion) in Central Java. The seclusion or restraint’s client will send home to their family was experienced re restraint or re seclusion. The aim of this study is to elaborate the family’s experience in caring for the client post restraint or seclusion through the qualitative study with the phenomenology approach. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with in-depth interview. The inclusion criteria are the caregiver who has a family member with the experience of being restraint or seclusion before hospitalized, had been restraint, being restraint or being re-restraint, and being able to communicate well. The results show that the family have emotional burden and physical exhausted. This study has suggested that psychiatric nursing may develop a mental nurse psychiatric nursing services in the community by providing health education on how to manage the aggressive behavior of the client with mental disorder. Keywords: the experience, caregiver, restraint (seclusion)

Abstract

Introduction: Aging is a natural process in oldest old. The psychosocial development of the elderly to enhance self-integration. Reminiscence therapy is one of psychosocial treatment for elderly using memory recall of one’s life event in the past. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of individual reminiscence therapy on depression among elderly in the social homes.Method: The study design was used Quasy-Eksperiment Pre-Post Test with Control Group. A total of 60 elderly people were recruited in this study and assigned into two groups,  31 participants in the intervention group and 29 participants in the control group. Independent variable was reminiscence therapy five sessions, which given to the intervention group. While, dependent variable was the level of depression on elderly. Data were collected by using GDS, then analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney statistical test with level of significance α≤0.05.Result: After providing individual reminiscence therapy, the intervention group showed a significant decrease in depression as compared to those in the control group was found (p=0.008).Discussion: The individual reminiscence therapy is useful to overcome depression among elderly. The nurse can know the personality of each elderly so as to improve the quality of nursing care for elderly.

Abstract

Introduction: Psychosocial distress emerges in cancer disease. This research explores experience of conflict, anxiety, and depression in one year cancer survivor.Methods: Data were collected through in-depth semi structured interviews with fifteen participants when seeking treatment at a public hospital in Bandung.Result: There nine themes emerge: anxiety about cancer’s spread and recurrence, changing relationships with a partner, 'labeling' from oneself and others, physical discomfort along treatment, psychological discomfort along treatment, self-concept, religious/spiritual, hiding diagnose and complain, and deficit information about cancer. But, four themes among were not characterized with conflict, anxiety, and depression. Conflict, anxiety, and depression impact condition of the client cancer.Discussion: Experience of conflict, anxiety, and depression became the basis for the development of management system service and provision of facilities for integrated mental health nursing therapy.

Abstract

Introduction: Nursing care: social isolation is one of the pillars in Professional Mental Health Nursing Practice Model (PMHNPM). This study was aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of nursing care in PMHNPM with the ability of clients and families client’s.Methods: This study was used a correlational design with cross-sectional approach. Samples were associate nurse who already follow PMHNPM training 58 respondents, client with social isolation problem who hospitalized at RSJD Prov. Jambi 32 respondents, and client’s family 12 respondents. Independent variable was PMHNPM implementation by associate nurse, while dependent variables were the result of nursing care to client with social isolation problem and family. Data were collected by using questionnaire. Data were then analyzed by using frequency distribution for categoric data, central tendency for numeric data, and pearson correlation.Results: The results showen that nursing management capabilities signifi cantly associated (p < 0.05) with the client’s ability and the ability of the family. The ability of nurses in providing nursing care social isolation were signifi cantly associated (p < 0.05) with a decrease in signs and symptoms of client upgrades.Conclusion: Associate nurses ability on nursing care and PMHNPM implementation could reduce a signs and symptoms, improve an ability of the client and families client’s social isolation.

Abstract

Introduction: Most older people with dementia in Indonesia stay at home, cared by family members. Family caregivers even experience physical, psychological, social, and fi nancial problems. Care giving demands often lead to caregiver burden and depression. The objective of this study was to determine factors which contribute burden and depression experienced by the caregivers of older people with dementia.Method: Design was descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. The population were caregivers living with older people with dementia. Sample size were 183 respondents. The independent variables were caregiver’s contextual factors, stressor caregiving, and intervening factor. The dependent variables were the burden of care and level of caregivers’ depression. Data were collected using questionnaire. Data were analyzed using linier regresion.Results: Statistical analyses showed marital status was significantly related to caregivers’ burden. While worked, education, and relationships with older people were significantly related with caregivers’ depression level. Memory and behavior problem, the task of caring and satisfaction of caring were related with caregivers’ burden and depression level. Multivariate analyses show health status was the most factors related to caregivers’ depression level. Memory and behavior problems was main factor related to caregivers’ burden of caring for older people with dementia.Conclusion: The results are expected to provide information about the extent of caregivers’ burden and depression which experienced in care giving, therefore the services can be designed based on the needs of the caregivers of persons with dementia in the community.

Abstract

APPLICATION OF TODDLER THERAPEUTIC GROUP THERAPY AND FAMILY PSYCHOEDUCATION IN TODDLER AND PARENTS TOWARD DEVELOPMENT OF TODDLER AUTONOMY.  ABSTRACTThe health promotion for children in society still focuses on the physical, while psychosocial stimulation in children still minimize. The purpose of the scientific writing was to report the result of Therapeutic Group Therapy and Family Pshychoeducation toddler autonomy and stimulation ability of parents in toddler stimulation. This case study used Health Promotion Theory and Adaptation Model Stuart. The number of children and parents who received Therapeutic Group Therapy were 20 persons, while 15 of them received Family Pshychoeducation. The result of Therapeutic Group therapy found increased autonomy children development and the ability of parents to stimulate their toddler. Furthermore 15 parents who received Family Pshychoeducation have increased their ability to stimulate their children, and their children autonomy were higher. Abstract

Prevalensi gangguan mental emosional termasuk demensia di Jawa Barat berdasarkan hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar Tahun 2013 paling banyak dialami oleh lansia. Karakteristik demensia seperti penurunan kognitif dan gangguan orientasi menimbulkan masalah keperawatan yaitu konfusi kronis. Tujuan karya ilmiah akhir ini melaporkan penerapan manajemen kasus spesialis keperawatan jiwa terhadap lansia konfusi kronis di ruang Saraswati RSMM Bogor dengan pendekatan Model Adaptasi Roy melalui intervensi keperawatan jiwa secara generalis, terapi kelompok Reminiscence dan Family Psychoeducation (FPE). Jumlah lansia yang dikelola ada 12 orang. Hasil manajemen kasus spesialis keperawatan jiwa menunjukkan bahwa penurunan tanda dan gejala konfusi kronis serta peningkatan kemampuan lansia demensia mengatasi konfusi kronis. Rekomendasi hasil karya ilmiah akhir ini adalah diharapkan perawat jiwa menerapkan terapi keperawatan generalis dan spesialis (Terapi Kelompok Reminiscence dan FPE) untuk perawatan lansia dengan konfusi kronis. Kata kunci : Demensia, FPE, konfusi kronis, lansia, model adaptasi Roy reminiscence  CHEMICAL CONFUSION DEMENSION CASE MANAGEMENT USING THE ADAPTATION MODEL APPROACH ABSTRACTThe prevalence of mental disorders including dementia emotional in West Java, based on the results of the Health Research In 2013 most widely experienced by elderly. Characteristic of dementia such as cognitive decline and disorientation that cause nursing diagnosis of chronic confusion. Psychiatric nursing care with Roy Adaptation Model approaches to overcome the chronic confusion through a generalist interventions in psychiatric nursing, therapy and family group psychoeducation Reminiscence (FPE). The purpose of final scientific papers reporting on the implementation case management  of specialist psychiatric nursing to elderly with chronic confusion in Saraswati ward RSMM Bogor, use Roy Adaptation Model approach. The number of elderly who managed 12 people. The case management result of psychiatric nursing  specialists showed that the reduction of signs and symptoms of chronic confusion, and increasing the ability of elderly’s dementia to cope chronic confusion. Recommended final outcome of this scientific work is expected to implement nursing therapy generalist and specialist (Reminiscence Therapy and FPE) to elderly care with chronic confusion. Keywords: Dementia, FPE, chronic confusion, adaptation Roy Model, elderly.

Abstract

One of the activities in the Professional Nursing Practice Model (PNPM) Life is giving nursing care aimed at improving nursing services. This study aims to determine how perceptions of nurses toward the implementation of nursing care in the social isolation Soul PNPM program. The study design was conducted using qualitative methods with phenomenological approach. Data collection was performed at 7 nurses who have been trained PNPM Soul with in-depth interviews. The results showed four themes related to sustainability implementation of social isolation nursing care that benefits the implementation of nursing care and the role of social isolation and nursing staff in the implementation of social isolation. Conscious social isolation nursing care nurses can provide better benefits for nursing services and patient and family, so it is recommended to the hospital to increase its involvement in maintaining the sustainability of social isolation implementation of nursing care.
