Abstract

The content of antioxidant compounds in pokak eggplant (Solanum torvum) had the potential as an herbal medicine and was consumed by the world population. The research objective was to study the chemical compound content of the LCMS method. Experimental design with fresh fruit extraction of pokak eggplant using 95% ethanol solvent. The parameters measured were the chemical components found in fresh fruit. Abstract

Takokak plants are often called eggplant pokak or eggplant sparrows can grow in a moist, fertile and shaded area and are popular abroad under the name turkey berry. The problem is that this plant is still relatively few who consume and cultivate it. The research objective was to study the effect of takokak curing treatment on proximate components and weight loss during 5 days room temperature storage. The method used is the proximate compound test and quantitative weight loss with valid analytical procedures. The test parameters include water content, ash content, protein, fat, carbohydrates and weight loss. Chemical analysis results for 5 days of curing are: Water content (%) : 81.72 ; 79, 24; 77.16 ; 75.42 ; 72.31. Ash content (%): 1.63 ; 1.72; 1.98; 2.15; 2.24. Protein (%): 9.28 ; 8.47; 7.91; 6.98; 5.76. Fat (%): 2.65; 2.51; 2.38; 2.24; 2.18. Carbohydrates (%): 5.36 ; 7.21; 9.53; 11.20; 13.36. Weight Loss (grams): 5.68; 5.12; 4.84 ; 4.41; 4.08.

Abstract

Pokak growing in fertile highlands is still classified as a wild plant and contains good bioactive and nutritional compounds. Drinks made from pokak are potential health drinks. The problem of pokak is relatively little consumed by the people of Indonesia. The results of the pokak research indicate that there are polyphenol compounds, tannins, flavonoids, caffeine, fumaric acid, maleic acid, alkaloids, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals. The aims of this research to process pokak eggplant fruit into 2 types of herbal teas, namely black tea and pokak green tea. The observation parameters were the organoleptic test, chemical component test including bioactive compounds and nutrients. The research method used the Fridman test, phytochemical screening, proximate test, Vitamin C, and minerals. The best organoleptic test results include aroma, taste, color, the most preferred by consumers is code 862 TB, namely pokak black tea. Qualitatively, pokak black tea contains saponins, glucosides, steroids, alkaloids. The nutritional test contains carbohydrates, fat, protein, ash content, moisture content, vitamin C. contains minerals Ca, Mg, Fe. The results of the study prove that Pokak herbal tea has a function for health and is potential as a functional drink.

Abstract

Sweet corn needs continue to increase along with the increase in population and the increase in processed foods made from sweet corn. In Indonesia the yield of sweet corn is classified as low, which is 3.5 tons / ha, while the potential for sweet corn production currently reaches 8.31 tons / ha. To meet the needs of sweet corn in the community that continues to increase, it is necessary to have an effective cultivation system by utilizing organic fertilizer, so that we get healthy products, safe for public health and the environment. This study aims to determine the interaction between the dose of Sari Alam organic fertilizer and Petrobio fertilizer on the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays sacharata) Talenta variety. In this study using factorial randomized block design. Observative vegetative parameters include plant height, stem diameter, and leaf area. While the harvest parameters include weight of corn cobs with weights, weight of corn cobs without weights, cob length without weights, Sugar Level Analysis (%). From the results of the study there was a very real interaction on the combination treatment of organic fertilizer dosage of natural juice and petrobio S3P2 fertilizer (dosage of natural extract 44gr / plant, petrobio dose 0.5gr / crop) at the observation of plant height at the age of 21 days and stem diameter at 28 days . There was a significant effect on the single factor dosage of S3 natural fertilizer organic fertilizer (dose 44gr / plant) on the weight of lobed cob.

Abstract

Jagung manis merupakan komoditas yang potensi di Indonesia karena rasanya manis dan mudah ditanam serta mengandung komponen gizi yang tinggi. Budidaya jagung manis memiliki peluang bisnis yang menguntungkan jika diupayakan secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mempelajari dan mengevaluasi pengaruh interaksi perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK Ponska dan pupuk organik semanggi terhadap pertumbhan dan produksi jagung manis ( Zea mays saccaharata L) varietas Talenta. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok secara faktorial yang diulang 3 kali. Faktor ke 1 adalah dosis pupuk NPK ponska dengan 3 level yaitu 100 kg/Ha, 200 kg/Ha, 300 kg/Ha. Faktor yang ke 2 adalah dosis pupuk semanggi dengan 3 level yaiu 200kg/Ha, 250 kg/Ha, 300 kg/Ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada interaksi terhadap kombinasi perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK Ponska dan pupuk organik semanggi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis varietas Talenta. Pada perlakuan tunggal pupuk organik semanggi dengan dosis 300 kg/Ha terdapat pengaruh yang nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumah daun pada umur tanam 25, 32, dan 39 hst serta berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tongkol dan berat tongkol umur 72 hst. Pada perlakuan tunggal dosis pupuk NPK Ponska tidak ada pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis varietas Talenta.

Abstract

Pokak eggplant was quite popular abroad and in Indonesia spread over fertile land but still limited for public consumption. Pokak eggplant potential contains phytochemicals and functions as a herbal medicine for health. This research aimed to analyze the phytochemical compounds in dried pokak eggplant using tree types drying methods into flour. There were types of drying methods using sunlight, vacuum dryer and try dryer. The parameters observed were DPPH, total phenol, tannins, flavonoids, proximate test, vitamin C. The results showed the phytochemical components: a) pokak flour (sunlight method) Contains DPPH 88.10%, total phenol 37.32 mg/g, tannins 1.03 mg/g, flavonoids 5.11 mg/g, water content 6.92%, ash content 3.66%, protein 11, 51%, 5.38% fat, 72.53% carbohydrates, 0.21% vitamin C; b) pokak flour (vacuum dryer method) has DPPH of 92.81%, total phenol 77.35 mg/g, tannins 1.24 mg/g, flavonoids 2.75 mg/g, moisture content of 7.62%, ash content of 2, 82%, 22.66% protein, 3.25% fat, 65.51% carbohydrates, 2.44% vitamin C; c) pokak flour (try dryer method) had DPPH 85.15%, total phenol 22.91 mg/g, tannins 0.63 mg/g, flavonoids 2.43 mg/g, water content 6.89%, ash content 3.29%, 21.28% protein, 7.04% fat, 61.5% carbohydrates, 0.39% vitamin C. The drying method can be used as a recommendation for the identification of phytochemical compounds.

Abstract

Tanaman nanas yang banyak ditanam di kecamatan Ngancar, kabupaten Kediri merupakan produk unggulan petani. Penanganan pasca panen dan teknologi pengemasan buah nanas masih jarang dilakukan oleh petani nanas di desa Babadan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendorong minat dan kemampuan dalam melakukan usaha bisnis nanas segar dan olahan yang bermutu yang dikemas baik agar aman dan menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara penyuluhan tentang penanganan pasca panen dan teknologi pengemasan olahan nanas, dan pendampingan kepada kelompok PKK. Pelatihan dihadiri 20 orang dari desa Babadan, selama 2 hari mulai tanggal 20 sampai 21 Agustus 2021 berlokasi di balai desa Babadan mulai pukul 10.00 sampai 12.00. Peserta pelatihan didampingi dan didukung oleh anggota pengurus koperasi pertanian Langgeng Mulyo dan bapak kepala desa Babadan untuk mewujudkan usaha agribisnis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan adanya respon positif dari peserta untuk mengembangkan menjadi UKM pengolahan nanas dengan dukungan akademisi, pemerintah, pihak swasta serta bank yang siap memberi kredit usaha bisnis nanas. Kerjasama dengan akademisi dilakukan dengan pusat kajian inkubator bisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Kadiri, Kediri.
