Abstract

Tujuan dari pada pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengenalkan ekosistem terumbu karang kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan IPA STKIP Al Maksum Langkat.Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem pesisir pantai yang memiliki keanekaragaman hayati tinggi. Ekosistem terumbu karang tersebar dipesisir laut pulau-pulau Indonesia. Terumbu karang yang tersebar memiliki jenis-jenis yang berbeda. Salah satu ekosistem terumbu karang terdapat di Pulau Rubiah. Pulau Rubiah memiliki jenis terumbu karang yang motifnya seperti batik, sehingga masyarakat setempat menyebutkan terumbu karang batik. Keadaan ekosistem terumbu karang batik ini masih terlihat baik. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya jumlah terumbu karang yang tersebar, ikan-ikan yang umumnya hidup dan mencari makan di sekitar terumbu karang masih terlihat banyak jenis dan warnanya dan tidak adanya pencemaran terhadap ekosistem terumbu karang tersebut, seperti tidak terlihat adanya sampah atau zat kimia hasil limbah perusahaan ataupun rumah tangga. Walaupun demikian kegiatan untuk melindungi ekosistem ini masih perlu dilakukan agar ekosistem terumbu karang tersebut tetap ada. Melalui kegiatan pengenalan ekosistem terumbu karang ini, selain menambah pengetahuan mahasiswa juga diharapkan nantinya mahasiswa memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga ekosistem terumbu karang tersebut. Abstract

Pencemaran udara merupakan salah satu zat yang dapat membahayakan kehidupan serta kesehatan manusia. Pencemaran udara dapat timbul dari sumber alami alam maupun kegiatan manusia salah satu nya limbah pabrik seperti asap yang di hasilkan dari pabrik kelapa sawit .Pencemaran udara yang terjadi dipicu dari bentuk gas, cair, dan padat tertentu yang terpendam di udara. Partikel berasal dari aerosol, debu, asap pabrik, kebakaran hutan, asap kendaraan bermotor, dan asap rokok. Beberapa polutan yang biasanya menyebar, yakni logam berat, karbon monoksida (CO), nitrogen oksida (NOx), ozon (O3), senyawa organik volatil (VOC), dan sulfur dioksida (SO2). Indonesia sendiri masuk dalam jajaran negara yang tingkat polusinya cukup tinggi. Limbah kelapa sawit adalah sisa hasil tanaman kelapa sawit yang tidak termasuk dalam produk utama atau merupakan hasil ikutan dari pengolahan kelapa sawit. Berdasarkan tempat pembentukan limbah kelapa sawit dapat digolongkan menjadi dua jenis yaitu limbah perkebunan kelapa sawit dan limbah insdutri kelapa sawit (Eko, 2013). Pencernaan pabrik kelapa sawit berasal dari unit interaksi pengukusan (sanitasi), siklus penjelasan dan pelepasan dari hidrosiklon. Dari hasil kajian tersebut, kemudian dapat dikaji dan disimpulkan bagaimana performa perusahaan dalam melaksanakan pengelolaan dan pemantauan lingkungan hidup di sekitar areal usaha. (Badrun, 2010) Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat naratif melalui pengambilan data,survei,observasi lapangan serta kajian dokumentasi yang dicermati dari Dampak Limbah Pabrik Kelapa Sawit terhadap Kelestarian Lingkungan Hidup Dilingkungan masyarakat PT LSP Bahorok.Pencemaran udara merupakan salah satu zat yang dapat membahayakan kehidupan serta kesehatan manusia. Air pollution is a substance that can endanger human life and health. Air pollution can arise from natural sources and human activities, one of which is factory waste such as smoke produced from palm oil factories. Air pollution that occurs is triggered by certain gas, liquid and solid forms that are pent up in the air. Particles come from aerosols, dust, factory smoke, forest fires, motor vehicle exhaust and cigarette smoke. Some of the pollutants that are usually spread are heavy metals, carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), ozone (O3), volatile organic compounds (VOC), and sulfur dioxide (SO2). Indonesia itself is included in the ranks of countries with high levels of pollution. Oil palm waste is the residue from the oil palm plant which is not included in the main product or is a by-product of oil palm processing. The digestion of the palm oil mill originates from the steam interaction unit (sanitization), the digestion cycle and the release of the hydrocyclone. From the results of this study, it can then be studied and concluded how the company's performance in carrying out environmental management and monitoring around the business area. (Badrun, 2010) The type of research used is qualitative research that is narrative in nature through data collection, surveys, field observations and documentation studies that examine the Impact of Palm Oil Mill Waste on Environmental Preservation in the PT LSP Bahorok community. Abstract

This study aiming for develop tool props simple based on recycle repeat. Type study that is research and development (RD). This study using the 4D development model consists of from define, design, develop and disseminate (Thiagarajan., 1974). This research only up to the development stage. This research implemented at SD IT Bintang Langkat. Subject study that is student class V consisting of 25 students. Object study that is tool props simple based on recycle repeat. The data collection technique is observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used namely (a) eligibility book story illustrated, and (b) effectiveness book story illustrated. Based on results study known that tool props simple based on recycle redeveloped declared very worthy, thing this based on results validation by experts material that is with percentage 87.50%, result validation by experts Language with percentage of 79.35% stated worthy, and results validation by media experts with the percentage of 90.68% was declared very feasible. From the results recapitulation said, it was concluded that tool props simple based on recycle repeat declared very worthy for used on students fifth grade at Bintang Langkat IT Elementary School.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi informasi kini telah menjadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama dalam bidang pendidikan. Saat ini, teknologi tidak lagi dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang perlu dibatasi, melainkan sebagai alat penting yang dapat memperkaya dan memperlancar proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada siswa SMP mengenai penggunaan teknologi secara tepat dalam mendukung pembelajaran, sekaligus mengkaji dampaknya terhadap kesehatan mental mereka. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan penyuluhan dan presentasi interaktif, yang bertujuan untuk membangun pemahaman siswa secara lebih aktif dan menyenangkan. Siswa diberikan wawasan mengenai sisi positif dan negatif dari penggunaan teknologi, disertai panduan praktis tentang bagaimana mengoptimalkannya dengan bijak, misalnya melalui pengaturan waktu yang cukup dan pemilihan konten yang bermanfaat. Sebanyak 25 orang siswa SMP berpartisipasi aktif dalam program ini. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para siswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman tentang manfaat dan risiko penggunaan teknologi, serta mulai mampu mengelola waktu penggunaan teknologi dan interaksi di dunia maya dengan lebih baik. Temuan ini tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi dalam mendukung peningkatan prestasi akademik, tetapi juga membantu menjaga keseimbangan kesehatan mental mereka di tengah tantangan era digital saat ini. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of the human digestive system in Grade VIII at SMP Al-Maksum. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. Data collection instruments included observation, learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), and documentation. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of audio-visual media. During the pre-test, only 6 students (28.57%) achieved the minimum passing score (≥ 70), with an average score of 57. After being taught using audio-visual media, the number of students who met the minimum passing criteria increased to 18 (85.7%) with an average post-test score of 80. The N-Gain analysis showed a score of 55.14%, which falls into the “moderately effective” category. Therefore, audio-visual learning media are considered moderately effective in enhancing student learning outcomes on the digestive system topic and are recommended as an alternative instructional medium in science learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes are a common problem found in the learning process. Learning models that are not yet varied are one of the causes of low student learning outcomes. This research aims to see the effect of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students at Bintang Langkat Junior High School. This research was carried out at Bintang Langkat Junior High School. The population in this study were all class VII students at Bintang Langkat Junior High School. The sample group was divided into 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. Each class will be given a pretest and posttest. The instrument used was a multiplechoice test instrument with 20 questions. Before testing the hypothesis, the data was tested for normality and homogeneity. From the analysis results it was found that the samples were normally distributed and categorized as homogeneous. Next, a statistical hypothesis test can be carried out using the t test. The results of hypothesis testing with the t test show that H0 is rejected. So it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the use of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of Bintang Langkat Junior High School students.

Abstract

Learning outcomes in the independent curriculum in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) Phase B (for grades III and IV SD/MI/Package A) require that the learning carried out must be able to stimulate students to think at higher levels (HOTS ). This study discusses the analysis of HOTS content contained in IV grade IPAS textbooks for students. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. Data was collected using literature study techniques, documents, and questionnaires. Then, the percentage value of the HOTS load in the book by the data was calculated. The results obtained are interpreted to see the measurable level of thinking. There are 24 topics discussed and grouped into 8 chapters. Based on the results of the analysis of material content, creating (C6) around 12%, evaluating (C5) 12%, and analyzing (C4) 76%. While the items in the student's book, out of 33 questions scattered in the book, were found to be 12% at the C6 and C5, 73% at the C4, and 3% is C2. Overall, 98% content of the book is already contain HOTS. Based on the results, it can be assumed that the book is good for stimulating students to think at higher levels.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the content validity of instruments used at schools. In this research, content validity is measured from three aspects, namely material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects. The method used in this research uses quantitative descriptive methods. Content validity was assessed by 8 validators by filling a questionnaire. The results obtained from the validator are then analyzed by calculating the Aiken's V index. The Aiken's V value is used to ensure that the instrument used meets the content validity criteria and is categorized as suitable for use as a measuring tool. Based on analysis using Aiken's V, the averages obtained for the material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects were respectively in the very high, very high, and high categories. And overall the content validity of the instruments used in schools has met good content validity standards in the very high category. However, determining the criteria for a good assessment instrument is not only content validity, but also construct validity, empirical or item validity, and reliability. So, to further ensure that the quality of the end-of-semester assessment instruments used in schools is categorized as fully adequate, further research can be carried out by future researchers.

Abstract

Kagiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas serta kompetensi mahasiswa PGSD STKIP Al Maksum melalui kegiatan workshop seni rupa 2D dan 3D. Pemilihan topik ini didasarkan pada pentingnya kemampuan seni bagi calon guru SD agar mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih hidup, inovatif, dan sesuai perkembangan anak. Workshop mencakup pelatihan berbagai teknik dasar menggambar, membuat kolase, hingga merancang karya tiga dimensi dengan bahan sederhana. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan, mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam menghasilkan karya yang lebih kreatif dan beragam, serta tampak lebih percaya diri mengintegrasikan aktivitas seni dalam proses belajar mengajar. Mereka juga memperoleh pemahaman lebih kuat mengenai pemanfaatan media kreatif di ruang kelas. Secara keseluruhan, hasil kegiatan menegaskan bahwa pelatihan seni rupa menjadi langkah strategis untuk memperkuat kompetensi pedagogik dan daya cipta mahasiswa PGSD.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar tentang Bullying serta menumbuhkan empati sebagai Upaya pencegahan perilaku perundungan di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas V dan VI MIS Al-Khairiyah Kecamatan Stabat, Kabupaten Langkat. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui pemutaran video edukasi, penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan refleksi pengalaman siswa. Media video digunakan untuk membantu siswa memahami bentuk dan dampak Bullying secara konkret dan kontekstual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai berbagai bentuk Bullying termasuk Bullying fisik, verbal, dan sosial. Selain itu, terjadi penguatan sikap empati yang ditunjukkan melalui meningkatnya kepekaan siswa terhadap perasaan teman, kehati-hatian dalam bertindak, serta penolakan terhadap perilaku Bullying. Dengan demikian, edukasi berbasis penguatan empati terbukti efektif sebagai strategi preventif untuk menciptakan lingkungan sekolah dasar yang aman, inklusif, dan mendukung perkembangan sosial-emosional siswa
