Abstract

The development of digital technology in education requires teachers to be competent in designing effective electronic-based assessments that meet student needs. One important form of initial assessment in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is diagnostic e-assessment, which serves to identify students' initial abilities, knowledge gaps, and learning characteristics. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' competency in developing diagnostic e-assessments through outreach and training at Elementary School 064014 Medan. The implementation method included preparation, outreach, demonstrations of electronic-based diagnostic test preparation, and hands-on practical assistance. The results of the activity indicate an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in designing and implementing diagnostic e-assessments in their respective classrooms. This activity contributes to improving the quality of learning assessments and supports the optimal implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes are a common problem at the end of the learning process. Suboptimal use of learning media is one of the causes of low student learning outcomes. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the extent to which the use of Wordwall learning media affects the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Bintang Langkat. This study used a quantitative approach with the Quasi Experiment method. The research population was all eighth-grade students. The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive sampling method. The sample group was divided into two classes, namely the control class taught conventionally and the experimental class taught with wordwall media. Each class will be given a pretest and posttest. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test instrument with 20 questions on the material of growth and development. Before testing the hypothesis, the data were tested for normality and homogeneity. From the analysis results, it was obtained that the sample was normally distributed and categorized as homogeneous. Furthermore, a statistical hypothesis test can be carried out using the t-test. The results of the hypothesis test with the t-test showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the t-table so that Ho was rejected. This means that there is an effect of the use of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of students at SMP Bintang Langkat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan workshop penyusunan modul ajar Kurikulum Merdeka di SMK Bintang Langkat. Workshop ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan modul ajar yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka, yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, pengembangan karakter, dan kemandirian siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen terkait pelaksanaan workshop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa workshop memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam kepada para guru tentang konsep dan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Guru-guru mampu menyusun modul ajar yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa serta kontekstual dengan lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif peserta dalam diskusi dan praktik langsung dalam menyusun modul ajar meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menarik. Kesimpulannya, workshop ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam mengembangkan modul ajar yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMK Bintang Langkat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pelaksanaan workshop serupa secara berkala untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah-sekolah lain.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan ecoliteracy kepada siswa SD Negeri 056001 Karang Rejo melalui teknik seni ecoprint, yang menggunakan bahan alami seperti daun, bunga, dan dedaunan lainnya untuk mencetak pola pada kain atau kertas. Teknik ini dipilih karena selain dapat mengembangkan kreativitas siswa, juga memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mereka tentang pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dan keberagaman hayati. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk workshop yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam setiap tahap, mulai dari pengumpulan bahan alami, pembuatan karya seni, hingga refleksi mengenai hubungan antara manusia dan alam. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa dapat memahami pentingnya menjaga keberagaman hayati, daur ulang, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa teknik ecoprint tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan seni siswa, tetapi juga memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang isu-isu lingkungan. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis ecoliteracy di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan agar kegiatan serupa dapat diperluas ke sekolah-sekolah lain untuk membangun masyarakat yang lebih peduli terhadap pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' creative thinking skills on the diversity of living things and their classification. The type of research is a quasi-experiment with a Pretest Posttest Control Group Design research design. Sampling in this study was carried out using random sampling techniques. How to draw samples using a lottery system. The collected data was analyzed descriptively and using Manova analysis which was preceded by a hypothesis test, including Data normality test carried out using Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistics. The variant homogeneity test was carried out using Levene statistics. The colliniality test between the bound variables uses product moment correlation. All tests are carried out at a significance level of 5%. The results of the analysis of the statistical number F are equal to 31,523 and the sig. 0.000< 0.05. So the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and HA is accepted. This means that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' creative thinking skills in the material "Diversity of living things and their classification". The results of the test of critical thinking skills and experimental creative thinking skills were higher than that of the control class. This is based on the results of Manova's analysis which obtained a statistical number of F equal to 19.292 and a significance number of 0.000 less than 0.05 for Pillai's Trace, Wilk's Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root. So the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and HA is accepted. This means that there is an influence of students' creative thinking skills between groups of students who study with the Problem Based Learning learning model.

Abstract

This ex post facto quantitative research investigates the relationship and significant influence of the Constructivist Approach on the Physics Learning Interest of Grade XI students. The study is motivated by the consistent challenge of increasing student engagement and positive affective outcomes in complex Physics concepts. The population for this research consisted of 60 Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. Saturated sampling was employed, resulting in all 60 students becoming the research sample. Data was collected using validated and highly reliable questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics and simple linear regression using SPSS 25.0. The descriptive analysis confirmed that both the implementation of the Constructivist Approach (Mean = 4.4167) and the students’ Physics Learning Interest (Mean = 4.3800) were categorized as very high. The hypothesis test (t-test) revealed a significant and positive influence of the Constructivist Approach on Physics Learning Interest (tcount=5.426, Sig.=0.000<0.05). The Coefficient of Determination (Adjusted R Square) was 0.418, indicating that the Constructivist Approach contributes 41.8% to the variation in student learning interest, with the remainder being explained by other factors. The findings support the notion that active and student-centered learning environments, characterized by project-based activities and reflective thinking, are crucial for fostering positive affective outcomes in Physics education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a science module based on a scientific approach to improve science process skills. This research is research and development. This research uses ADDIE development model which has 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research only reached the implementation stage. The research was carried out at Hamas IT Elementary School. The research subjects were 18 class VI students. The object in this research is VIscience module based on a scientific approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests. Data analysis in research is: (a) feasibility analysis science module based on a scientific approach and (b) effectiveness analysis science module based on a scientific approach. Based on the validation results for the product developed, namely a science module based on a scientific approach, show that the material expert validation results are 94.56%, including the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the results of media expert validation, namely 88.70% included in the very worthy category. The results of the pretest that were carried out showed that only 1 student completed it and 17 students did not complete it with a percentage of 44%. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest that had been carried out showed that 18 students completed the test with a percentage of 78%. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the scientific approach based science module developed is suitable and effective for use by sixth grade students at Hamas IT Elementary School.
