Abstract

Pudak is a dish that is traditionally eaten in Gresik, East Java, and has become a living record of the city's evolution through the years. Pudak possesses numerous excellent Gresik qualities and features that should be conserved because it is the indigenous wisdom of the city. An understanding of science, or information that can be replicated and is acknowledged by the scientific community, also known as ethnoscience, must be linked to the preservation of local wisdom values. The process of integrating cultural norms and traditions with scientific knowledge is known as ethnoscience. The traditional Pudak meal typical of Gresik City was the subject of an ethnoscientific study, which tries to represent indigenous knowledge of the community with scientific understanding. Research data for this study were gathered from linked research publications and exploratory activities utilizing a qualitative methodology based on ethno-science studies. The "Pudak Sari Kelapa" in Karangpoh Village, Kemuteran, Gresik Regency, one of the earliest Pudak manufacturers in Gresik City, was the site of exploration efforts. The research process for this ethno-science-based literature study consists of a number of steps, including gathering data from the library, conducting interviews, taking notes, analyzing, collecting concepts, developing them, and coming to a conclusion. The study's findings demonstrate the strong connection between real community science and scientific knowledge in the production of Pudak as well as in its key components, packaging, and storage techniques.

Abstract

Pear Deck is one of the tools for presenting web-based online slides. This research was implemented on 26 preservice science teachers who have heterogeneous thinking skills. This research examined the improvement of preservice science teachers’ learning outcomes through interactive online learning using Pear Deck after the pandemic era. The instruments used were written tests that were given twice before and after learning. This research was a pre-experimental design including pre-test and post-test design. Data earned was then analysed using an N-gain score and paired t-test but normality and homogeneity test was conducted before it. Data is said to be normally distributed if the Lcount < Ltab, and is said to be homogeneous if the Fcount < Ftab. There was a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after treatment if tcount < ttab. with α = 0,05. Learning with Pear Deck increases the average preservice science teacher’s score. the data were normally distributed, and then a homogeneity test was conducted with the result Fcount = 1,204 and Ftable = 1,955. Which means that Fcount < Ftable. The data were stated as homogenous. Pear Deck has a significant effect on the improvement of preservice science teacher’s learning outcomes. This is proven by the majority of students having high N-gain scores through their improvement on their test before (pretest) and after (posttest) learning. 77,78% of preservice science teacher also belonged to moderate-high increases in their scores. Results of the T-test concluded that tcount=23,10>ttable=2,06 means that H0 was rejected. So, the use of Pear Deck in distance learning had a significant effect on improving preservice science teacher’s learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa setelah menerapkan LKPD berbasis Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) pada pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada salah satu SMP di Sidoarjo dengan subjek penelitian kelas VII B sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa lembar tes tulis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains dengan menggunakan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada saat pretest memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 38,03 dan mengalami peningkatan pada hasil posttest memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 84,29. Selain itu, dapat diperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan LKPD berbasis Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan keterampilan yang melibatkan segenap kemampuan siswa dalam memperoleh pengetahuan berdasarkan fenomena alam dan membangun konsep IPA. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains terhadap model pembelajaran discovery. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan Pre-Experimental Designs dengan menggunakan bentuk One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh siswa kelas VII semester II salah satu diantara SMP di Sidoarjo. Sampel penelitian yakni kelas VII-C dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar soal tes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain. Peningkatan setiap indikator keterampilan proses sains dengan kategori sedang yaitu indikator mempertanyakan dan indikator merencanakan dan melakukan penyelidikan. Sedangkan, dengan kategori tinggi yaitu indikator mengamati, indikator menganalisis data dan informasi, dan indikator mengomunikasikan hasil. Hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP dengan menerapkan pembelajaran discovery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran dengan bantuan multimedia interaktif pada materi rotasi dan revolusi bumi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Designs dengan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Mojosari. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, lembar pretest dan posttest dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan skor N-Gain dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar pemahaman dengan analisis N-Gain <g> sebesar 0,9. Sedangkan hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,85. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan multimedia interaktif pada sub materi rotasi dan revolusi bumi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pre-experimental designs dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test designs. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIIA salah satu sekolah di Sidoarjo dengan jumlah sampel 31. Instrumen yang digunkaan yaitu soal tentang pencemaran lingkungan. Data didapatkan melalui tes tulis pada aspek pemahaman dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dimana aspek pemahaman mendapatkan N-gain 0,92 dengan kriteria tinggi dan aspek keterampilan proses sains mendapatkan N-gain 0,72 dengan kriteria tinggi. Pada indikator mempertanyakan dan merencanakan masing – masing hasil rata – rata N-gainnya 0,67 dan 0,70 dengan kriteria sedang. Dan pada indikator mengevaluasi dan merefleksi serta memproses, menganalisis data dan informasi mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi dan masing – masing rerata N-gainnya yaitu 0,72 dan 0,84.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning strategy, supported by the Lumi Education platform, in enhancing the scientific argumentation skills of students related to static electricity. A quasi-experimental approach, employing a non-equivalent control group, was adopted in this study, including two ninth-grade classes in a junior high school as participants. The participants were exposed to instruction utilizing either the ADI strategy and the support of the Lumi Education website or standard instruction as a control group. The strategies developed included a scientific argumentation skills test, designed as a claim, evidence, and warrant procedure, as well as a questionnaire administered among students. The data gathered were statistically processed by comparing pre-test and post-test results, calculating the normalized gains, as well as a description analysis approach among the students' written responses. The results show that, compared to a low category average normalization gain of 0.18 among the control class, a significantly high average value, 0.70, was established by the experimental class, signifying a statistically significant difference between the two categories, yielding a significance at a probability value less than 0.001. The results among the experimental class developed a Cohen's value, or the standardized effect size, estimated as 0.53, signifying a medium effect, while among the control class, an estimated 0.11, signifying a small effect, was recognized. Students said they liked the learning experience and thought it was more interesting, dynamic, and simpler to comprehend when they worked together on real-world tasks. However, some still encountered difficulties with conceptual comprehension and problem-solving. These findings imply that integrating ADI with digital scaffolding, such as Lumi Education, can effectively strengthen scientific argumentation skills while promoting active and reflective learning.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru berinovasi dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMPN 6 Mojokerto dalam merancang e-LKPD berbasis AI dengan pendekatan STEM Unplugged untuk mendukung pembelajaran mendalam. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik desain terbimbing, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan 80% peserta meningkat pemahamannya dalam mengintegrasikan AI dan STEM Unplugged. Lebih lanjut, 80% peserta berhasil merancang serta menghasilkan produk e-LKPD inovatif yang siap diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan kokurikuler. Pelatihan ini berdampak positif pada kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran mendalam yang bermakna.
