Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan alat peraga dan model problem based learning tanpa bantuan alat peraga pada materi kubus. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain posttest only-control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8B dan siswa kelas 8C SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh dan untuk dan . Sehingga dengan demikian berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, jika maka tolak , artinya rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model PBL berbantuan alat peraga roda berputar lebih dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model PBL tanpa bantuan alat peraga. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan model problem based learning (PBL) berbantuan alat peraga roda berputar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kubus dibandingkan dengan penggunaan model PBL tanpa bantuan alat peraga. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa alat peraga roda berputar dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep yang terkait dengan kubus secara lebih baik, sehingga meningkatkan pencapaian mereka dalam pembelajaran tersebut. Hal ini relevan sebagai pertimbangan dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif di sekolah.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low student learning achievement in Statistics material and the lack of active involvement of students in learning, so it aims to test the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving learning outcomes compared to the Direct Instruction (DI) model. Using quasi-experiment method with Posttest Only Control Group Design, the research involved class VIII-3 as the experimental group (PBL) and VIII-5 as the control group (DI). The analysis results showed that the average posttest score of the PBL group was significantly higher than the DI group, proving that the application of PBL can improve students' understanding of Statistics material at SMP Negeri 10 Manado. This finding recommends the use of PBL as a learning alternative while opening up opportunities for further research with supporting variables such as the role of the teacher or learning media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi Barisan Aritmatika dengan menggunakan konteks alat musik tradisional Kolintang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan dekat dengan budaya lokal siswa, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam memahami konsep barisan aritmatika yang bersifat abstrak. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang terdiri dari tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Proses pengembangan diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik, dilanjutkan dengan perancangan LKPD, uji coba bertahap, serta revisi berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan angket kepraktisan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan masuk dalam kategori “Sangat Praktis” dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 89%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis konteks Kolintang efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran, membantu siswa dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini juga turut mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal serta memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis etnomatematika.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess students' understanding of mathematical concepts pertaining to triangle topics. This research employed a qualitative approach, intending to generate descriptive data through written and verbal expressions from various sources observed. The study took place at SMP Negeri 1 Tenga, located in South Minahasa. Data collection methods comprised written tests and interviews, which were administered to a total of 12 eighth-grade students. The gathered data was analyzed by categorizing students into three groups based on their understanding of mathematical concepts. Findings revealed that 83.3% of the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tenga achieved a high level of understanding at the translation stage, as this indicator was relatively straightforward. In contrast, 66.6% demonstrated a good understanding at the interpolation stage, as some students were able to effectively select and apply appropriate procedures. However, only 33.3% of students exhibited comprehension at the extrapolation level, which fell into the low category, primarily due to difficulties in problem-solving accuracy and an insufficient grasp of the problems. Additionally, the distribution of understanding levels included 3 students in the high category, 3 in the medium category, and 6 who displayed a very low understanding of mathematical concepts at both the extrapolation and interpolation levels, as well as at the translation level

Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the learning outcomes of students who learn using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who learn using the Conventional learning model on the material of Curved Side Spaces. This study used a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all grade IX students, with a sample consisting of grade IX A as an experimental class of 23 students and grade IX B as a control class of 23 students at SMP N 3 Tondano in the 2024/2025 school year. The results showed a difference in the learning outcomes of students taught with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model compared to students taught with the Conventional learning model. Based on these results, it is concluded that learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on the material of Curved Side Spaces.

Abstract

Mathematics trains one to think systematically, scientifically, critically, and creatively. Creative thinking such as Critical Thinking Skills, Creative Thinking Skills, Communication Skills, and Collaboration Skills are competencies needed in the second century. This research will be conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan Barat, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. The subject selection technique in this study used a data source subject selection technique with certain considerations. Data were collected with questions that refer to 4 indicators and after the data were collected, descriptive quantitative analysis was conducted. The results obtained showed that the mathematical creative thinking ability of students at the SMA Negeri 1 Kwangkoan Barat level as a whole was in the moderately creative category with the results of indicators from highest to lowest, namely fluency 36%, flexibility 26%, originality 20%, elaboration 18%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis GeoGebra Classroom yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi translasi di kelas IX SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya hasil belajar serta kurangnya minat siswa terhadap materi translasi yang bersifat abstrak. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ASSURE, yang terdiri dari enam tahap: menganalisis karakteristik peserta didik, merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, memilih metode dan media, menggunakan media dan materi, mendorong keterlibatan siswa, serta melakukan evaluasi dan revisi. Penelitian dilakukan pada 30 siswa kelas IX-A SMP Kristen Woloan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi media dan materi, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta soal pre-test dan post-test. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media dan materi pembelajaran memperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,78 dan 3,73, masuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Respon guru mendapat nilai rata-rata 4,9 dan respon siswa mencapai 97,98%, yang termasuk kategori sangat positif. Uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan hasil belajar, dari nilai rata-rata pre-test 68 menjadi 89,7 pada post-test (p < 0,001). Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis GeoGebra Classroom dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi translasi. Media ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelitih pengaruh penerapan model Pair Check terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi SPLDV. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan desain Postest-Only Control Grup Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 20 siswa dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 20 siswa di SMP Kristen Woloan tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang dipilih secara acak. Data yang diperoleh adalah hasil posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen ????̅E = 77.35 dan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas kontrol ????̅K = 48.2. pengujian data setelah menggunakan taraf nyata α = 0.05 diperoleh diperoleh ????ℎ???????????????????? = 7.48029 > ???????????????????????? = 1.68595 dan disimpulkan H0 ditolak. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang belajar menggunakan model Pair Check pada materi SPLDV lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an acute febrile disease caused by the dengue virus, which is transmitted by various species of Aedes mosquitoes. The SEIR model is a mathematical model for studying the spread of dengue fever. In this model, it is assumed that some mosquito eggs have been infected because infected mosquitoes can transmit the virus to their eggs. The main vector of this disease is the Aedes albopictus mosquito. Analysis was carried out to assess the stability of the equilibrium point, and numerical simulations were carried out to see changes in population numbers due to changes in parameter values. A disease-free equilibrium (DFE) point, which is stable given the basic reproductive number . An endemic point whose stability is guaranteed if the value . The numerical simulations show that an increasing mosquito mortality rate decreases the number of exposed, susceptible humans. Furthermore, an increase in the average bite of an infected mosquito will increase the number of exposed, susceptible humans. For the mosquito population, increasing mosquitoes’ mortality rate will decrease the number of exposed, susceptible mosquitoes. Finally, an increase in the average bite of an infected mosquito will increase the number of exposed, susceptible mosquitoes.

Abstract

Grace bakery is a home industry in making bread. The problem experienced by Grace Bakery is that Grace Bakery has not planned to optimize bread production, this has caused losses for Grace Bakery and sales have not been maximized. This research aims to formulate a mathematical model for optimizing bread production using integer goal programming and to obtain optimization results for bread production planning using integer goal programming with the help of the Lingo application. The method used to solve this integer goal programming problem is branch and bound. By using integer goal programming, the branch and bound method and with the help of the Lingo application, the research results show that Grace Bakery must produce 3993 chocolate breads, 1334 cheese breads and 4237 mocha breads every month so that Grace Bakery will earn a maximum income of Rp. 17.280.000. Revenue will reach optimal results if all the bread is sold out and there is no increase in raw materials. Grace bakery can also reduce production costs to Rp. 11.670.092,5 every month.
