Abstract

Massive technological development is something that cannot be avoided in this life, because technological development is in line with scientific progress. Indonesia is a country that has abundant energy of various kinds source. Currently, energy use in Indonesia still comes from oil and gas earth, as well as coal which is non-renewable resources. Dependence on energy becomes main problem in energy supply national. Considering the need for it fuel every year continues has increased and is necessary anticipation of the availability of energy sources which is getting thinner while the price fuel oil increases. Every country in the world is now focusing on energy production through non-conventional sources. Biomass is an alternative energy source to replace fossil fuels (oil earth) because it has several beneficial properties, including being able to be utilized economically sustainable because of its renewable nature, no contains sulfur so the biomass does not cause air pollution. Besides being able to reduce waste, if managed properly biomass has high potential to be used as an alternative energy source in the form of biobriquettes. The method used in this research includes the preparation of salak skin raw materials, the carbonisation stage of salak skin, the starch adhesive preparation stage and the salak skin analysis stage, namely the analysis of calorific value and burning rate. Based on the results of the calorific value analysis and combustion rate analysis, it can be concluded that the biobriquette sample of salak skin with starch adhesive has met the provisions of the SNI No. 01-6235-2000 on charcoal biobriquettes. From the results of the study, it was also found that the Biobriket B sample, namely by using adhesive, has a high calorific value and burning rate compared to Biobriket A, namely without using adhesive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan tes diagnostik Four-Tier, 2) mengidentifikasi tingkat miskonsepsi peserta didik, dan 3) menjelaskan faktor-faktor penyebab miskonsepsi pada hukum hukum Newton. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan model Tessmer, dengan terlebih dahulu memvalidasi tes diagnostik Four-Tier tersebut kepada expert review (dosen dan guru ) fisika. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba skala kecil pada peserta didik kelas 10 fase-E SMA Batara School Medan sebanyak 13 orang. Setelah dilakukan revisi terhadap hasil uji coba tersebut, selanjutnya dilaksanakan ujicoba skala besar pada peserta didik kelas X fase-E SMA Nasrani 1 Medan sebanyak 23 orang yang tersebar secara heterogen dan penarikan sampel dilakukan  dengan purposive sampling. Hasil tes diagnostik peserta didik dikelompokkan pada 3 kategori, yaitu paham konsep, miskonsepsi, dan tidak paham konsep. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata miskonsepsi peserta didik yang diperoleh sebesar 61,10%. Miskonsepsi paling tinggi terdapat pada konsep gaya berat yakni sebesar 86,36% di mana peserta didik sulit membedakan kosep massa dengan berat. Rata-rata miskonsepsi dalam memahami konsep hukum-hukum Newton dan penerapannya masing-masing 62,98% dan 52,35% tergolong cukup tinggi. Disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik Four-Tier dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat miskonsepsi peserta didik lebih akurat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh implementasi Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem-Based Learning/PBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran PKn, khususnya pada materi Persamaan Kedudukan Warga Negara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX di SMP Swasta Eka Prasetya Medan, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan PBL dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest untuk menilai hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil belajar dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen adalah 41,9 dan meningkat menjadi 80,3 pada posttest. Sebaliknya, kelas kontrol meningkat dari 40,1 menjadi 64,7. Penerapan PBL terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Persamaan Kedudukan Warga Negara dibandingkan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PBL dapat menjadi metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran PKn.

Abstract

Diskriminasi gender masih terus terjadi di masyarakat sehingga muncul perlakuan yang tidak setara antara laki-laki dan perempuan yang mempengaruhi pengalaman hidup suatu individu. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkannya bentuk kesetaraan gender yang memiliki makna terealisasinya kenyamanan kondisi bagi kedua gender dan menghilangkan budaya patriarki serta stereotipe negatif terhadap suatu gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara empiris bentuk kesetaraan gender yang terjadi di lingkungan SMA Negeri 1 Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang merupakan metode penelitian yang bertujuan untuk memahami suatu fenomena dalam kontak sosial secara alami dengan menyimpan proses interaksi komunikasi yang mendalam antara peneliti dan fenomena yang diteliti.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan elemen penting dalam mendukung kehidupan sehat dan sejahtera, terutama di kalangan generasi Z yang menghadapi berbagai tantangan sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi. Generasi Z, yang lahir antara tahun 1995 hingga 2010, dikenal sebagai generasi yang dekat dengan teknologi digital namun juga rentan terhadap gangguan kesehatan mental seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kesehatan mental dalam meningkatkan produktivitas generasi Z. Pendekatan ini menggabungkan analisis literatur dan data empiris untuk memahami dampak kesehatan mental terhadap kemampuan generasi Z dalam menjalani kehidupan produktif dan sejahtera. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan mental yang baik berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan individu untuk mengelola tekanan, mengambil keputusan yang bijak, dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Sebaliknya, gangguan kesehatan mental dapat menurunkan produktivitas, meningkatkan risiko drop-out akademik, serta memengaruhi hubungan sosial. Faktor seperti stigma terhadap gangguan mental, kurangnya akses layanan kesehatan jiwa, dan eksposur terhadap tekanan digital menjadi hambatan utama. Oleh karena itu, upaya kolaboratif antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, keluarga, dan komunitas diperlukan untuk menyediakan dukungan promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Dengan pendekatan yang holistik, generasi Z dapat menjadi individu yang lebih sehat secara mental, produktif, dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan bangsa.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the church in addressing Domestic Violence (DV) behavior from a theological perspective. DV encompasses physical, sexual, psychological abuse, and neglect within the household, which often occurs in Christian families where women frequently become victims. Although DV cases continue to increase, the church’s role in addressing this issue remains limited. This study employs a literature review method to analyze Biblical perspectives and various research findings on the church’s role in addressing DV. The findings indicate that DV constitutes a violation of human rights and individual dignity, contrary to Christian teachings on love, respect, and responsibility. The church plays a crucial role in providing moral support and counseling for families facing DV. The church can take proactive steps through premarital counseling, marriage counseling, and family recovery seminars to prevent and address DV within the Christian community, underscoring the importance of protection for victims and church support in the recovery process for families affected by DV.

Abstract

E-LKPD is a medium students can use to train themselves and hone their ability to master a learning material. As a training medium, E-LKPD is one of the evaluation tools that can be used to measure student achievement in the learning process. For this reason, the compiled E-LKPD should pay attention to the elements of student characteristics and learning conditions. This research was conducted at SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data used in this study are test data on learning outcomes for understanding concepts using the compiled E-LKPD and questionnaire data from distributing questionnaires to measure student enthusiasm in learning. The subjects in this study were 35 students of class X SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. E-LKPD was designed interactively with the Canva application and validated by experts with 2% and 87%. Scores The SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi trial showed a significant increase in student scores, from an average of 60.25 to 79.85 after using E-LKPD. Students also responded positively through questionnaires, showing increased motivation, engagement, and understanding. These results prove the effectiveness of E-LKPD in improving the quality of learning and are recommended for application to other materials. This study uses the ADDIE model to develop interactive E-LKPD to enhance students' understanding of static fluids. The results showed a significant increase in students' average scores after using E-LKPD. In addition, students felt more interested and active in learning, indicating the effectiveness of this learning media.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of the era is currently increasing rapidly along with the development of technology. This causes the needs of society for their survival to increase along with the development of technology, one of which is the need for energy. Bioenergy development is one way to meet energy needs in the future. The use of bioenergy can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and can achieve sustainable energy development. Briquettes are one of the carbon-containing fuels that can burn for a long time and have a high calorific value. The banana peel sample used was 100 grams of kepok banana peel. The stages of this Biobriquette analysis include 4 stages of research, namely: Raw Material Preparation Stage, Carbonization Stage, Adhesive Making Stage, and Analysis Stage of Calorific Value, ash and water content. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the two samples of banana peel Biobriquettes had met the provisions of SNI 01/6235/2000 in terms of calorific value, water content and ash content. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the biobriquette sample B, namely banana peel biobriquette with tapioca flour adhesive, has a good calorific value, ash content and water content of 5438 Cal/gram, 4% and 4.2% respectively. Keywords: Calorific Value, Ash Content, Moisture Content, Biobriquettes, Banana Peels Abstrak: Perkembangan zaman pada saat ini meningkat pesat seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi. Hal ini menyebabkan kebutuhan masyarakat akan kelangsungan hidupnya meningkat pula seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi tersebut salah satunya adalah kebutuhan energi. Pengembangan bioenergi merupakan salah satu cara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi dimasa yang akan datang. Penggunaan bioenergi dapat mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca serta dapat mencapai pengembangan energi yang berkelanjutan. Briket merupakan salah satu bahan bakar mengandung karbon yang dapat menyala dalam waktu lama dan memiliki nilai kalor yang tinggi. Sampel kulit pisang yang digunakan adalah kulit pisang kepok sebanyak 100 gram. Adapun tahapan analisis Biobriket ini meliputi 4 tahapan penelitian yakni : Tahap Persiapan Bahan Baku, Tahap Karbonisasi, Tahap Pembuatan Perekat, dan Tahap Analisis Nilai kalor, kadar abu dan air. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwa kedua sampel Biobriket kulit pisang telah memenuhi ketentuan dari SNI 01/6235/2000 ditinjau dari nilai kalor, kadar air dan kadar abu. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, sampel biobriket B yakni Biobriket kulit pisang dengan perekat tepung tapioka dengan nilai kalor, kadar abu dan kadar air yang baik masing-masing sebesar 5438 Cal/gram, 4% dan 4,2%. Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought both positive and negative impacts on daily life. One of the negative impacts that has become a concern is the increasing prevalence of cyberbullying and the spread of hoaxes among students. As an educational institution, SMK Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi plays an important role in equipping students with good digital literacy to ensure they use technology wisely. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of guided training in enhancing students' understanding of the dangers of cyberbullying and hoaxes, as well as strategies to control them. The method used is a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews, and evaluations conducted before and after the training. The results of the study show that the training significantly increased students' awareness and understanding of how to recognize and prevent cyberbullying and hoaxes. Moreover, the training also helped students develop critical thinking skills and digital ethics. Therefore, guided training proves to be an effective strategy in fostering a healthy digital culture within the school environment.

Abstract

Plastic waste in university environments has become a crucial issue that affects the cleanliness and sustainability of educational ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the responses of students at HKBP Nommensen University Pematangsiantar regarding plastic waste control on campus. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 30 student respondents and analyzed by percentage. The results show that although students have a high level of understanding of the importance of plastic waste control and its negative impacts, there is still a gap between knowledge and actual behavior in daily campus life. The main obstacles identified include the lack of program socialization and limited student involvement. This study concludes that increasing program effectiveness, providing equitable facilities, and fostering environmentally friendly habits are essential. It is recommended to actively involve students in environmental initiatives and to conduct further research to expand the scope and depth of understanding of student environmental behavior.
