Abstract

ABSTRACT In recent years, growing awareness of environmental issues has driven companies across industries, including the beauty sector, to adopt green marketing as a sustainable marketing strategy. The beauty industry is a major contributor to plastic waste and hazardous chemicals, making eco-friendly practices increasingly essential. This study aims to analyze the effect of green marketing on purchase decision with brand image as a mediating variable among The Body Shop consumers in Bali Province. This quantitative research employed a survey method targeting productive-age respondents who use The Body Shop products. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and mediation tests to examine the relationships among variables. The results indicate that green marketing has a positive and significant influence on both brand image and purchase decision, while brand image partially mediates the relationship between them. These findings highlight the importance of consistent green marketing implementation in building a responsible brand image and enhancing consumers’ purchasing decisions. The tactical implication suggests that companies should strengthen sustainability-oriented communication and environmental transparency to increase consumer loyalty and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 12 on responsible consumption and production. Keywords: Green Marketing; Brand Image; Purchase Decision; Eco-Friendly Products; Beauty Industry; The Body Shop; Bali Province ABSTRAK Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, meningkatnya kesadaran terhadap isu lingkungan telah mendorong perusahaan di berbagai sektor, termasuk industri kecantikan, untuk mengadopsi konsep green marketing sebagai strategi pemasaran berkelanjutan. Industri kecantikan dikenal sebagai penyumbang besar limbah plastik dan bahan kimia berbahaya, sehingga penerapan prinsip ramah lingkungan menjadi kebutuhan mendesak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh green marketing terhadap purchase decision dengan brand image sebagai variabel mediasi pada konsumen The Body Shop di Provinsi Bali. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap responden usia produktif yang menggunakan produk The Body Shop. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan uji mediasi untuk melihat hubungan antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa green marketing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap brand image serta purchase decision, dan brand image berperan sebagai variabel mediasi parsial yang memperkuat hubungan keduanya. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan strategi green marketing yang konsisten untuk membentuk citra merek yang bertanggung jawab dan meningkatkan keputusan pembelian. Implikasi taktis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan perlu memperkuat komunikasi nilai keberlanjutan dan transparansi lingkungan agar dapat meningkatkan loyalitas konsumen serta mendukung tercapainya tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) poin ke-12 tentang konsumsi dan produksi yang bertanggung jawab. Abstract

Perubahan preferensi konsumen menuju produk berkelanjutan mendorong pertumbuhan industri kosmetik hijau. Namun, adopsi produk ini di kalangan Generasi Z, khususnya di Denpasar, masih rendah. Studi ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengaruh hambatan psikologis dan hambatan fungsional pada minat beli produk kosmetik ramah lingkungan. Sampel terdiri dari 100 responden berusia 15–24 tahun yang memahami dan pernah menggunakan produk kosmetik hijau. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert 1–5. Analisis data mencakup uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, uji F, uji t, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil mengindikasikan bahwa hambatan psikologis dan hambatan fungsional berkontribusi positif dan signifikan pada minat beli, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,506 mengindikasikan bahwa kedua variabel independen menjelaskan 50,6% variasi minat beli. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa meskipun hambatan dianggap sebagai penghalang adopsi, persepsi pada hambatan tersebut justru dapat memicu evaluasi rasional yang mendorong niat membeli. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan menambahkan variabel lain seperti kesadaran lingkungan, citra merek, atau kepercayaan konsumen guna memperkaya pemodelan perilaku pro-lingkungan di sektor kosmetik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the e-Performance system in managing employee performance, as well as to identify the driving and inhibiting factors and the efforts made to address implementation challenges at the Human Resources and Human Resource Development Agency of Gianyar Regency. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving informants selected purposively, including leaders and administrators responsible for the system. Data analysis applies the Miles and Huberman interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the implementation of the e-Performance system has not yet been fully optimal. Key challenges include limited digital competencies among civil servants, insufficient technical understanding in preparing and inputting Employee Performance Targets, low discipline in reporting performance activities, and technical issues within the system. To address these challenges, several measures have been undertaken, such as continuous technical guidance and training, the application of performance-based reward and punishment mechanisms, stricter enforcement of reporting discipline, and the appointment of a Person in Charge (PIC) to handle technical problems. These findings indicate that optimizing the e-Performance system requires not only technological readiness but also improved competencies, stronger policies, and a proactive work culture

Abstract

This study aims to analyze family financial management from a Sumbanese cultural perspective, specifically as it relates to the traditional belis wedding tradition in Wee Rame Village, Southwest Sumba Regency. The belis phenomenon, which involves the economic exchange of livestock, woven fabric, jewelry, and cash, requires families to prepare a well-structured financial situation. This research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving couples involved in traditional weddings, their families, and traditional leaders. The study focused on aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling family financial management. The results are expected to provide an understanding of the relationship between financial literacy and local cultural practices, while also uncovering the challenges and conflicts that often arise from differences in fulfilling belis obligations. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature on financial management based on local wisdom. Practically, this research can serve as a reference for the community, government, and social institutions in formulating economic empowerment strategies rooted in culture. Thus, this research contributes to the preservation of Sumbawa culture while improving family economic well-being.

Abstract

Cooperatives face persistent performance challenges amid accelerating digital disruption and governance demands; this study critically examines how digital transformation and Good Cooperative Governance (GCG) function as strategic resources shaping competitive advantage and cooperative performance. Using a Critical Literature Review (CLR) of peer-reviewed studies (2021–2025) sourced from Scopus, Google Scholar, and SINTA-indexed journals, 30 relevant journal articles were identified and critically analyzed to synthesize theoretical perspectives, conceptual frameworks, and empirical findings related to digital capabilities, governance, competitive advantage, and multidimensional performance. The review finds that digital transformation and GCG operate as interdependent organizational capabilities whose strategic value emerges when aligned; sustainable competitive advantage functions as the central mediating mechanism translating these capabilities into improved financial and nonfinancial outcomes such as member satisfaction, service quality, and long-term sustainability. However, the literature reveals conceptual ambiguities, inconsistent operationalizations of competitive advantage, limited attention to cooperative-specific governance dynamics, and a shortage of longitudinal and context-sensitive studies. We offer an integrative conceptual model that clarifies these relationships and propose a research agenda emphasizing cooperative-centric theorization, longitudinal and mixed-method designs, and adaptive governance practices to enable effective digital transition. Practitioners should prioritize governance alignment, capacity building, and member engagement to realize the strategic benefits of digital investments.

undertake. This is a form of organizational management's response to increasingly sophisticated technological developments. However, organizations cannot simply digitize and stop there to combat disruption caused by technological developments. In line with the development of AI and increasing public enthusiasm for utilizing technology, organizations must undertake Digital Transformation. Many organizations simply stop at the digitalization process without being able to increase the use of digital technology in their business processes to maximize services. Organizations are unable to carry out digital transformation to maximize the benefits of technology use within the organization. Method: By utilizing the TOE Framework, this study analyzed 85 selected articles using the Prisma protocol. The data analysis technique used bibliometric analysis with VOS viewer and content analysis to identify thematic codes found in the selected articles. Results: There are 4 factors included in the technology component, 6 factors included in the organizational component and 2 factors included in the environmental component. Conclusion: The results of this study explain that the success of digital transformation is not only determined by the technology adopted by the organization, but also the organization's ability to integrate technology with business strategy, organizational capabilities and changes that occur in the organization's external environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of adaptive governance by Commission IV of the Bali Provincial DPRD in responding to educational disparities in remote areas using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively based on their relevance to the research focus. The findings reveal that educational inequality in remote areas of Bali is a structural issue influenced by limited infrastructure, uneven distribution of resources, and socio-economic conditions. From the context aspect, there is a significant gap between ideal conditions and field realities. From the input aspect, resources are quantitatively adequate but not optimally distributed or utilized. In terms of process, policy implementation has shifted toward a more participatory and field-based approach, although it has not yet been systematically institutionalized. Meanwhile, from the product aspect, policies have produced initial impacts such as increased attention and educational assistance, but have not significantly reduced disparities. Overall, the implementation of adaptive governance remains in a transitional phase toward a more adaptive, responsive, and sustainable governance system.
