Abstract

Students' emotional intelligence and very low social interaction, as well as students' declining interest in learning in class X, are important problems found at SMA Negeri 2 Kefamenanu. For this reason, the researcher wanted to find out how much influence social interaction had on learning achievement with or without moderation variables, namely emotional intelligence and learning interest, as well as the influence of the selected moderation variables. This type of research is a quantitative research with a survey method. The results of the study were then analyzed with path analysis statistics. The subjects in this study are students in class X of SMA Negeri 2 Kefamenanu. The types of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the biggest influence was the direct influence of emotional intelligence on learning achievement at 62.41%. In addition, there was a direct influence of social interaction on learning achievement by 43.56%. This research provides implications for educators to improve student learning achievement through social interaction and emotional intelligence. This also shows the novelty of the results of the analysis, that emotional intelligence turns out to be more influential on student achievement than learning interest.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the shift in the educational paradigm toward technology-integrated learning and addresses the disparity in facilities between urban and border area schools. It aimed to determine the effect of Photomath on students' cognitive abilities and to assess their attitudes, motivation, belief, and readiness towards its use in a border area school. The instruments employed were pretest, posttest, and questionnaire. This research serves as an initial study on the use of technology in schools located in border areas. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. The qualitative analysis of student responses was facilitated by Photomath, while the quantitative method followed a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The findings showed a 36.25% improvement in algebra test scores. Students’ learning motivation reached 82.97% (very strong), belief in Photomath was 88.13% (very strong), and readiness to use the Photomath was 78.97% (strong). After using Photomath, students understood each stage of solving algebra problems better, indicating that Photomath supported their learning process. The implication is that integrating Photomath in border-area schools provides valuable support for students, particularly in self-directed learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di SMPN 1 Kefamenanu telah berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, namun guru belum menggunakan media pembelajaran khususnya memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Selain proses pembelajaran di kelas, guru juga belum menggunakan media teknologi dalam proses assesmen. Aplikasi Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC) adalah aplikasi yang digunakan untuk membuat soal multimedia interaktif, melalui WQC guru dapat menyusun berbagai bentuk soal dan memiliki level yang berbeda. Selain itu aplikasi Geogebra sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas untuk mengonstruksi, mendemonstrasikan, maupun memvisualisasikan. Tujuan pengabdian  untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi guru dan siswa untuk mengetahui pembelajaran berbasis teknologi pada aplikasi Wondershare Quiz Creator dan Geogebra. Metode kegiatan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap tindak lanjut. SMPN 1 Kefamenanu dipilih untuk pelaksanaan pengabdian ini karena sudah dilengkapi dengan lab komputer sehingga guru dan siswa mendapatkan wawasan baru dalam membuat dan juga menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran baik untuk membuat soal maupun untuk menyelesaikan soal. Berdasarkan hasil angket respon guru terhadap aplikasi  WQC, aplikasi tersebut menambah wawasan bagi guru dalam pembuatan soal dalam tipe soal dan level soal yang berbeda, dapat menarik minat siswa dalam mengerjakan soal – soal, tampilan soal yang menarik serta tidak membutuhkan waktu yang lama dalam menyusun soal dan mengoreksi hasil pekerjaan siswa. Sedangkan pada aplikasi Geogebra pada hasil pre test dan post test diperoleh hasil bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of providing cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic (learning style) assessments and recognizing students' learning styles before the learning process occurs. The results of this study show that, typically, the diagnostic assessment process is not implemented before learning activities begin, and that the learning process proceeds without first taking into account the learning style of the students. This study also analyzes the effectiveness of the use of GeoGebra in learning as a solution to facilitating various student learning styles. The research was carried out in 2 schools, namely SMA Negeri 2 Kefamenanu and SMA Katolik Warta Bakti Kefamenanu, utilizing a Pre-Experimental design, with a total of 53 students chosen by a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and test questions, then analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon Signed Test methods to compare the student groups from each school. The results indicate that the average mathematical diagnostic assessment score was 16.4553. After utilizing GeoGebra during learning and focusing on student learning styles, the students' average mathematical ability score increased to 62. This result is supported by the Kruskal-Wallis Test and Wilcoxon Signed Test, indicating that the average of the mathematical ability score from the diagnostic assessment reaches near-equilibrium after the students are exposed to GeoGebra. The increase in students' ability by 55% on the N-Gain Test shows that learning by utilizing GeoGebra is quite effective in improving students' mathematical skills. These results lead to the conclusion that learning by using GeoGebra during learning after cognitive diagnostic assessments and paying attention to students' learning styles is the best way to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the parameter estimation process on the exponential distribution using the maximum likelihood method and the Bayesian method on service data at Bank BRI Atambua Branch. The result of processing data on 100 service time data obtained parameter values for the maximum likelihood method = 0,050942 and the Bayesian = 1,0008. By using the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) feasibility test for these parameters, the AIC value for the maximum likelihood method was 797,4122 and the AIC value for the Bayesian method was 3.931,1002 so it can be concluded that the maximum likelihood method is better used to estimate parameters than Bayesian method.

Abstract

Peluncuran Kurikulum Merdeka di Indonesia telah menandai perubahan penting dalam sektor pendidikan, khususnya bagi para guru matematika di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Tantangan baru dan peluang untuk pengembangan profesional ini menuntut pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang kurikulum dan adaptasi metode pengajaran yang sesuai. Untuk mendukung transisi ini, sebuah program pelatihan khusus telah dirancang, bertujuan untuk memperdalam pemahaman guru tentang berbagai aspek Kurikulum Merdeka dan meningkatkan keterampilan praktis mereka dalam penerapannya. Melalui diskusi interaktif dan tugas-tugas kreatif, fokus pelatihan diberikan pada pengembangan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP) dan modul pembelajaran yang inovatif, mendorong pendekatan pengajaran yang lebih efektif dan kreatif. Hasilnya, terlihat peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan guru untuk menerapkan strategi dan metode yang diajarkan, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dan menarik. Kemajuan ini tidak hanya memperkuat keterampilan pedagogis guru tetapi juga meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman belajar siswa, memberikan dampak positif pada pengajaran matematika secara umum.

Abstract

Introduction (background): One of the government's steps to restore learning due to the Covid 19 pandemic is to issue a policy on the use of the Independent Learning Curriculum (KMB). However, in its implementation, schools are given the freedom to implement the curriculum in accordance with school conditions. St. Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Private Junior High School is in the IKM Mandiri Belajar category. This shows that KMB implementation has not been optimal. This is because this platform has only been used by schools since August 2022. In addition, schools are constrained by the categorization given which limits the school's space to implement KMB. Purpose of activities: One way that can be used to accelerate SMIs is to maximize the use of PMM. PMM comes with a high-tech approach that can help teachers in obtaining references, inspiration, understanding, and training independently to implement the Independent Curriculum. Method of activity: Pengabdi optimizes the use of PMM to teachers by providing training on the use of PMM. This activity was attended by the Principal and 19 teachers. In addition to providing guidance containing PMM, the service team also provides questionnaires at the end of activities as part of feedback on service activities. Results of activities: PMM optimization activities are also considered very interesting because 80% of teachers are new to this kind of training, even though 60% of teachers take a long time to explore PMM. This is due to the unstable internet network and teachers are not used to using this platform. However, the results of the St. Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Junior High School Education report card also provide promising results regarding teacher participation in the use of PMM where the participation rate in 2022 is 10, increasing by 622% in 2023 to 72.2. This makes this school in the top ranking category at the Regency / City level and in the upper middle category nationally. Conclusion: This kind of mentoring activity for teachers is very necessary considering that teachers also need additional insight and sharing experiences about IKM. The teachers have also committed to continue to optimize the use of PMM and will change the status of SMIs to Mandiri Change, in 2024.

Abstract

Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD) merupakan suatu upaya untuk mencerdaskan dan mencetak kehidupan bangsa yang bertaqwa, cinta dan bangga terhadap bangsa dan negara, terampil, kreatif, berbudi pekerti, dan santun serta mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan pola pikir yang baik. Kemampuan berhitung pada siswa sangat berkaitan erat dengan kemampuan matematika, keduanya tidak dapat dipisahkan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan survey tim pelaksana kegiatan pelatihan di SDK Yaswari Niki-Niki III, guru mengeluh karena kebanyakan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam berhitung seperti pemahaman terhadap perkalian masih kurang ini terjadi karena rendahnya minat belajar siswa  khususnya pada keterampilan berhitung. Salah satu cara untuk menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa adalah dengan membuat pembelajaran menjadi tidak kaku. Berhitung cepat adalah solusi bagi siswa dalam belajar matematika, karena dengan berhitung cepat siswa menjadi lebih kreatif dan pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengenalkan kepada siswa Aneka berhitung Cepat (ABC) pada siswa SDK Yaswari Niki – Niki III yakni memahami konsep dasar berhitung dan menumbuhkan ide-ide kreatif dari siswa melalui teknik berhitung cepat. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil pretest dan posttest meningkat yakni kemampuan siswa dalam berhitung cepat sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pelatihan aneka berhitung cepat persentasenya adalah dari 23% meningkat menjadi 94% sehingga pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan, siswa belajar dengan lebih antusias dan mendapatkan nilai yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Pengelolaan persediaan yang efektif memerlukan peramalan permintaan yang akurat, khususnya pada perusahaan pemasok alat tulis kantor. CV. Chava Grup Cabang Kefamenanu merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang menghadapi fluktuasi permintaan bolpoin dari waktu ke waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) dalam meramalkan penjualan bolpoin sebagai dasar perencanaan persediaan. Data yang digunakan adalah data penjualan bolpoin harian selama periode Juni 2022 hingga Mei 2023 sebanyak 288 observasi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan deret waktu dengan bantuan perangkat lunak R. Hasil uji stasioneritas menunjukkan bahwa data bersifat stasioner sehingga dapat dimodelkan menggunakan ARMA. Berdasarkan kriteria Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) dan uji diagnostik residual, model terbaik yang diperoleh adalah ARMA(3,3). Model tersebut digunakan untuk melakukan peramalan penjualan bolpoin selama 30 hari ke depan. Hasil peramalan menunjukkan bahwa penjualan bolpoin cenderung berfluktuasi pada periode tertentu tanpa pola tren yang jelas. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi perusahaan dalam merencanakan persediaan bolpoin secara lebih optimal dan berbasis data.
