Abstract

The redrying unit is a tobacco drying unit at PT XYZ that functions to enhance aroma, ensure safe storage, and re-dry tobacco with the appropriate moisture level. In recent months, the redrying unit at PT XYZ has experienced a decline. The company management suspects that the decline in productivity is caused by problems with the efficiency of the production process. Therefore, a productivity analysis was conducted to determine the level of tobacco productivity at PT XYZ. In this study, the objective matrix (OMAX) productivity method was used. The weighting of criteria is measured using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Based on the calculation results, the criteria of electrical energy, machine hours, labor, and raw materials have the highest partial productivity values of 1.22, 3.35, 10.57, and 98, respectively. The highest total productivity was achieved in the March 3 period at 650.7 and the lowest productivity in the November 9 period at 68.6. Improvements are made on all criteria, by applying the objective matrix method, PT XYZ is expected to increase the partial productivity and total productivity of the company in the future.

Abstract

The garment industry, a cornerstone of Indonesia's economy, faces persistent challenges in efficiency and quality, as evidenced by PT. XYZ's struggles with uneven stitching, loose buttons, and stained fabric in daily workwear production. To address these issues, this study employs Lean Manufacturing principles integrated with the SQCDMPE framework. By utilizing tools like fishbone diagrams and SQCDMPE analysis, root causes of production inefficiencies were pinpointed. Recommendations include implementing stringent quality controls, enhancing worker training, and optimizing operational processes to minimize waste and improve overall efficiency. These strategies aim to streamline production at PT. XYZ, enhancing product quality and meeting customer demands effectively in the competitive global garment market.

Abstract

Juanda Airport in Surabaya is an airport with a high level of activity. This study aims to analyze and assess the level of risk of workers' posture to health and work accidents in the work environment of PT Angkasa Pura 1 Juanda Airport Surabaya using the ROSA (Rapid Office Strain Assessment) method. The results of the study are assessment of work posture using the ROSA method that employees with a score of 4 are 1 person, score 5 are 4 people, score 6 are 6 people, score 7 are 7 people, score 8 are 4 people, score 9 as many as 3 people with a risk category. From this value, 1 employee is not at risk and 24 workers have a dangerous risk because it has a value of more than 5.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam sektor perikanan. Artikel ini membahas strategi yang mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan alat pemberi pakan otomatis sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil panen ikan lele. Teknologi ini memberikan solusi efisien dan efektif dalam manajemen pakan, mengatasi kendala yang sering kali dihadapi petani dalam pemberian pakan secara manual. Dengan memanfaatkan alat pemberi pakan otomatis, petani dapat mengontrol pemberian pakan secara tepat waktu dan akurat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan ikan lele pada berbagai tahap pertumbuhannya. Keuntungan utama dari alat pemberi pakan otomatis, yaitu penghematan waktu dan usaha petani. Dengan menerapkan alat otomatis ini, petani dapat menjaga kualitas pakan dan mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan ikan dengan lebih baik dan juga dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani. Dengan menggabungkan pengetahuan tradisional petani dengan teknologi modern, strategi ini berpotensi membawa perubahan berkelanjutan dalam budidaya ikan lele. Diharapkan bahwa penerapan alat pemberi pakan otomatis akan mendukung upaya global dalam mencapai ketahanan pangan dan pengembangan sektor perikanan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The development of the Islamic financial industry which includes banking, insurance and pawnshops is basically a very long historical process. Perum Pegadaian Syariah, as one of the state-owned enterprises, is faced with the challenge of competing and improving efficiency in the growing Islamic financial industry. This study aims to measure the operational efficiency of Islamic Pawnshops in East Java Province using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. This study identifies the relative efficiency of each Pawnshop unit from several branches of Pegadaian Syariah, including Joko Tole, Babakan, Sidokare, Mayjend Sungkono, and Blauran. The results showed that four branches were efficient with a relative efficiency value of 1, while Sidokare branch showed inefficiency with a value of 0.908. Improvement recommendations for Sidokare branch include reducing service time, operating costs, and increasing the number of customers and collateral. This research is expected to guide Perum Pegadaian Syariah in contributing to improving efficiency and competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the standard time required in one work cycle of U-DITCH concrete production so that it can meet and increase production targets and identify things that can be improved to increase operational efficiency and productivity. This study uses a work sampling method with calculations of cycle time, normal time, and standard time. Sampling of work using random numbers and field observations was carried out for 14 days. Based on the data processing that has been done, it can be seen that it is 73%, as well as a cycle time of 8.21 minutes/ Unit and normal time with an adjustment level of 1.5933 gets a time of 13.08 minutes/ Unit. The number of productive minutes is 5,518.8 minutes with the number of outputs that have been completed for 14 days of 672 Units. The standard time with a slack factor of 46% gets a result of 683.31 hours/ Unit and a standard output of 73 Units is obtained for 1 day.

Abstract

Balai XYZ adalah salah satu badan usaha yang bergerak bergerak pada bidang pelayanan jasa industri, standardisasi dan sertifikasi. Balai XYZ menyediakan fasilitasi pelatihan teknis untuk industri yang ingin mengembangkan posisinya dalam persaingan pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui risiko tertinggi dari hasil perhitungan FMEA, mengetahui akar permasalahan dari kemungkinan terjadinya suatu risiko dengan metode FTA dan mengetahui tindakan mitigasi risiko dari akar permasalahannya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh bahwa risiko tertinggi adalah conflict of interest dengan skor Risk Priority Number (RPN) sebesar 64. Akar permasalahan yang diperoleh dari analisis FTA yaitu adanya koneksi pribadi antara pembimbing dengan pelanggan, favoritisme oleh pembimbing, kurangnya komunikasi, pembimbing terlalu lama dalam mempersiapkan dokumen, dokumen yang diberikan pelanggan tidak lengkap, dan adanya ketidakseimbangan dalam alokasi anggaran. Serta, tindakan mitigasi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu, melakukan dokumentasi lengkap untuk seluruh interaksi dengan pelanggan dan keputusan yang diambil oleh pembimbing, bimbingan dialihkan kepada pembimbing lain yang tidak berpotensi memiliki hubungan atau koneksi pribadi dengan pelanggan, pelaporan berkala melalui komunikasi informal melalui kemajuan pendaftaran sertifikasi, memberdayakan peserta PKL dalam membantu mempersiapkan dokumen-dokumen yang perlu diedit dan dicek ulang, menyediakan dan memberikan checklist dokumen dan isi dokumen yang detail kepada pelanggan dan melakukan konsultasi awal secara mendalam, dan menyusun mekanisme penyesuaian anggaran yang lebih fleksibel apabila terjadi perubahan kebutuhan
