Abstract

Artikel ini berusaha mendedah pemikiran dari seorang intelektual Malaysia bernama Syed Sheikh Ahmad Al-Hadi yang terkenal dengan konsep islah dan tajdid-nya. Sebagai anak zamannya, semangat yang digelorakan Syed Sheikh adalah semangat pembaharuan yang dicanangkan Abduh dengan Pan-Islamismenya di Mesir. Ia mendengungkan perubahan dalam tradisi keislaman di Malaysia yang selama ini dianggap terlalu kental dengan nuansa sufistik dan menomor duakan urusan ahirat. Baginya, keduanya sama pentingnya dan utamanya. Imbasnya, ia beranggapan bahwa lembaga pendidikan agama dan sekuler seharusnya berada di bawah atap yang sama.

Abstract

Membaca dan Menghafal Al-Qur’an merupakan ibadah yang mentradisi sejak zaman Nabi Muhammad SAW hingga sekarang. Berbicara tentang metode membaca dan menghapal al-Qur’an tidak bisa lepas dari sosok KH. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad, seorang ahli qiro’at dan ilmu-ilmu Al-Qur’an yang tinggal di Cirebon. Karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode membaca dan menghapal al-Qurán KH. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad dan dampaknya terhadap kemampuan membaca dan menghapal santri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode membaca dan menghafal Al-Qur’an dalam perspektif KH. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad adalah Metode Iqro’, Tahsin, Fahmi Bisyauqin, Metode Membaca Ayat, Metode Murojaah, Metode Tasmi’, Metode Menulis Ayat, dan Metode Partneran Ayatan. Dampak menggunakan Metode tersebut menunjukkan santri dapat lebih mengerti bagaimana pengucapan huruf-huruf hijaiyah secara benar dan fasih sesuai ilmu tajwid dalam membaca Al-Qur’an dengan indah dan tata pengucapanya, menghasilkan hafalan yang sangat kuat, hafalan yang kuat dihasilkan dari seringnya penghafal Al-Qur’an berinteraksi dengan Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This article explores the intricate dynamics among Sufi elites in Cibingbin, highlighting the significant tensions within this distinctive group. The Sufi community is deeply divided, engaging in intense debates and frequent confrontations with each other. Central to these disputes are issues surrounding the Nasab dialectics, an ideology associated with the habaib that stresses the concept of voluntarism among the Sufi elite. These internal debates are most intense between the habaib faction, known as Kanzus Sholawat Cibingbin, and the local religious authorities, referred to as Kyai Kampung. As each group digs in and solidifies their doctrinal positions, the struggle for dominance in the public sphere becomes more pronounced. This phenomenon, which aligns with Habermas's theories regarding the legitimacy of power in public spaces, has unexpectedly fueled the momentum of the Laskar Walisongo movement. Despite the apparent weakening of the habaib's defensive stance, both the habaib and the Kyai Kampung have maintained considerable local influence. The ongoing power struggle highlights the complex interplay between belief, influence and control within this segment of the Sufi community. Ultimately, they have made public spaces an arena not just for collective imagery, but also the most vital part of the organisation’s sustainability or spirit.

Abstract

In this piece, the nationality of the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) instructors in the Cirebon district is attempted to be captured. It is believed that some people's understanding of the national outlook has been compromised by the rapid flow of information and the waning of nationalism as an ideology. Teachers have emerged as crucial circles for inquiry from many national viewpoints as educated circles as well as agents of information and values to pupils. This study employed qualitative approaches as its methodology. The findings indicated that MAN teachers in the Cirebon district had a very high level of nationality insight. In contrast, a teacher revealed in an interview that he was unfamiliar with the idea of the caliphate, which had been used to criticize the democratic system.

Abstract

This study seeks to capture understanding of tolerance among santris in Babakan Islamic boarding school in Ciwaringin, Cirebon. Based on the findings of various research institutions which state that the Indonesian young generation turns out to have an alarming tolerance level, we try to target santris who have the same age range as respondents from PPIM Jakarta, for example. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive with the help of SPSS 23.0 for windows as a calculation tool. The total population of santri in three schools is 4108, and the sample taken is 843 or about 20% of the population. The results of the study showed that understanding tolerance among santri in the Babakan Ciwaringin Cirebon boarding school was very high.

Abstract

This research is entitled Perceptions and Experiences of Educational Leadership in Improving Service Quality. This research aims to explore the perceptions and experiences of educational leadership in controlling educational services. Using qualitative methods, this research involved interviews. The data obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify main themes related to educational customer satisfaction, challenges and expectations for service quality. The research results show that the majority of customers are educational. The number of educational institutions that do not provide good service affects educational customer satisfaction. As a result, the acceptance of new students continues to decline, leading to schools being merged or closed because the number of students does not meet the ceiling. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the quality of service in educational marketing management in educational institutions

Abstract

This paper explores the rich history of Islam in the Kashmir Valley, with a particular focus on the socio-religious impact of the revered Sufi saint Shaikh-ul-‘Āalam It traces the early Islamic presence in Kashmir, shaped by figures like Hazrat Bulbul Shah and Hazrat Shah-i-Hamdaan, and explores the unique integration of Islam in the region, distinct from other South Asian experiences often marked by conquest and trade. The study highlights key milestones, including the pivotal role of Sufi missionaries in embedding Islamic practices and laws. Central to the paper is the transformative influence of Shaikh-ul-‘Āalam, whose teachings and poetry addressed social justice, ethical reform, and environmental consciousness while promoting Islamic monotheism. His engagement with indigenous traditions, particularly the Rishi order, further enriched Kashmir’s spiritual and cultural landscape. Utilizing a library or literature study research methodology, the study relies on secondary data and thematic analysis to critically explore Shaikh-ul-‘Āalam’s enduring legacy. The findings highlight his pivotal role in fostering a harmonious and inclusive society, emphasizing his lasting impact on Kashmir's religious and cultural identity.

Abstract

In the digital era, oral communication skills, digital literacy, and learning motivation are crucial aspects of education. Digital storytelling is an innovative method that enhances speaking abilities and fosters creativity and active engagement among pre-service elementary teachers in learning. This study aims to explore the impact of digital storytelling in enhancing oral communication skills, digital literacy, and learning motivation among pre-service elementary teachers. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed. The sample consisted of 120 pre-service elementary teachers from the State Islamic Cyber University Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, selected through purposive sampling. The experimental group included 58 participants, while the control group comprised 62. Data were collected through oral communication tests, digital literacy questionnaires, and learning motivation surveys administered before and after the intervention. Instrument validity was assessed using content validity with two experts in education and technology, while reliability was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis involved T-tests and Cohen’s D effect size calculations. The findings indicate that digital storytelling significantly improved all three variables, with large effect sizes for oral communication skills (d = 2.21), digital literacy (d = 2.52), and learning motivation (d = 2.65). These results suggest that digital storytelling is an effective pedagogical tool for equipping pre-service elementary teachers with essential competencies in the digital era. This study recommends systematically integrating digital storytelling into pre-service elementary teacher education curricula, developing structured pedagogical scaffolding, and collaborating with partner schools to support skill application in teaching practice.

Abstract

Man was created by God in the most perfect form in order to carry out the duties of the Caliph on Earth. To be a Caliph, of course, you must have good morals. Morality is an act that is firmly entrenched in the soul of a person, so that it becomes his personality. Therefore, the purpose of studying the Book of moral Lil-Banat is very important in order to apply in everyday life, so that it becomes a person who is loved by his Lord, parents, neighbors and relatives. The purpose of this study is to discuss the application of learning methods from The Book of Akhlak Lil-Banat in instilling morals al-karimah for beginner students at Pondok Pesantren putri Aisyah Kempek Gempol Cirebon. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The results of this study showed that in instilling the morals of the beginner students, it is seen based on the stages of learning itself which includes the stages: first, the delivery of material contained in the book Akhlak Lil-Banat. Second, a Ustadzah directly practices directly the learning material to beginner students. Third, Ustadzah concluded the contents of the meter. Fourth, the contribution of the dormitory, to always control the younger classes in moral reform.Keyword: Learning Methods; Akhlak Lil-Banat; Akhlak Al-Karimah. Abstrak Manusia diciptakan Allah Swt dalam bentuk yang paling sempurna dalam rangka mengemban tugas Khalifah di bumi. Untuk menjadi seorang Khalifah tentunya harus memiliki akhlak yang baik. Akhlak adalah perbuatan yang sudah tertanam kuat dalam jiwa seseorang, sehingga menjadi kepribadiannya. Oleh karena itu tujuan mempelajari kitab Akhlak Lil-Banat sangat penting agar menerapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga menjadi pribadi yang dicintai oleh TuhanNya, orang tua, tetangga dan kerabatnya. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu membahas tentang penerapan metode pembelajaran dari kitab Akhlak Lil-Banat dalam menanamkan akhlak al-karimah bagi santri pemula di Pondok Pesantren putri Aisyah Kempek Gempol Cirebon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam menanamkan akhlak santri pemula tersebut, maka dilihat berdasarkan tahapan pembelajaran itu sendiri yang meliputi tahap: Pertama, penyampaian materi yang ada dalam kitab Akhlak Lil-Banat. Kedua, seorang Ustadzah langsung mempraktikan secara langsung materi pembelajaran terhadap santri pemula. Ketiga, Ustadzah menyimpulkan isi dari meteri. Keempat, kontribusi dari pihak asrama, untuk selalu mengontrol adik-adik kelasnya dalam pembenahan akhlak.Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran; Akhlak Lil-Banat; Akhlak Al-Karimah.

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of gender in polygamy kiai in Cirebon Regency. There are four polygamy kiais who are the resource persons in this study who use qualitative-descriptive methods as this method, with religious education backgrounds that are relatively different each other. Kiai is an important figure for the gender mainstreaming campaign in view of his position which is still considered important in the community. Moreover, gender-biased constructions very often, if not always, hide behind the cloak of religious truth. Their status as polygamy kiai are interesting to study the conception of gender behind them. The results of this study indicate that the views of all polygamy kiai who become the resource persons still have a gender biased construction with religion as the main justification for such views. This indicates that the socialization related to gender equality discourse is still not optimal or at least has obstacles precisely in an environment that has wider religious knowledge.
