Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) teknik membina penerbitan majalah sekolah pada ekstrakulikuler jurnalistik di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja dan (2) manajemen produksi majalah sekolah pada ekstrakulikuler jurnalistik di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pembina dan tim redaksi majalah Kharisma SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Objek penelitian ini adalah pembinaan dan manajemen produksi majalah sekolah. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melaui metode observasi dan wawancara untuk teknik membina penerbitan majalah sekolah. Data mengenai manajemen produksi majalah sekolah dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) teknik yang digunakan dalam membina penerbitan majalah Kharisma, yaitu tanya jawab, tes, diskusi, penugasan, bimbingan, dan motivasi dan (2) manajemen produksi majalah Kharisma SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja dapat dilihat dari fungsi-fungsi manajemen, yaitu perencanaan ditemukan adanya program kerja dan perencanaan isi majalah. Pada fungsi pengorganisasian ditemukan sistem perekrutan anggota dan sumber dana penerbitan. Fungsi pelaksanaan berjalan tidak sesuai perencanaan. Fugsi pengestafan dilakukan dengan pelatihan-pelatihan dan fungsi pengawasan kurang maksimal karena tidak dilakukan secara intens. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) selain teknik motivasi, seluruh teknik yang digunakan oleh pembina di atas sangat tepat karena sesuai dengan karakteristik pembinaan yang dilaksanakan dan (2) manajemen produksi majalah Kharisma kurang baik karena pelaksanaan tidak sesuai dengan perencanaan yang disebabkan oleh kurang ketatnya pengawasan, walaupun dari segi perencanaan, pengorganisasi, dan pengestafan dijalankan dengan baik. Saran atas pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah fungsi rekreatif ekstrakulikuler lebih dimaksimalkan agar siswa senang mengikuti kegiatan.Kata Kunci : pembinaan jurnalistik, manajemen majalah, ekstrakulikuler The objectives of this study were to describe (1) the technique of teaching the school magazine publication in journalism extracurricular at SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja and (2) the management of school magazine production in journalism extracurricular at SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. This study used descriptive qualitative research design. The subjects of this study were the instructor and the editor team of Kharisma SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja magazine. The objects of this study were the coaching and the production management of the school magazine. The data in this research were collected through the method of observation, interview, and documentation with the instruments of observation guideline / field note and recording device. The results of this study were divided into two categories. First, the techniques used in teaching the publication of Kharisma SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja magazine, answers and questions technique, test technique, discussion technique, assignment technique, guidance technique, and motivation technique. Secondly, Kharisma magazine production management SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja can be seen from management functions, namely (1) planning, discovered the existence of the work program and planning of contents, (2) organizing, discovered systems and resources recruitment publication, (3) the implementation of the plan not run well, (4) staffing done with training, and (5) the supervision not maximum because of the less concentration of editorial leadership.The conclusions of this study are (1) in addition to motivational techniques, all techniques used by the coach in the beggining already right because according to the characteristics in places and (2) production management Kharisma magazine is not good because the implementation is not in accordance with the plan due to lack of strict supervision, although in terms of planning, organizing, and staffing run well. Suggestions for the implementation of this research is more extracurricular recreational function is maximized so that students enjoy participating in activities. The conclusions of this study are (1) in addition to motivational techniques, all techniques used by the builder at the very top of the right because according to the characteristics of the guidance is implemented and (2) production management Charisma magazine is not good because the implementation is not in accordance with the plan due to lack of strict supervision , although in terms of planning, organizing, and pengestafan run. Suggestions for the implementation of this research is more extracurricular recreational function is maximized so that students enjoy participating in activities.keyword : journalism coaching, magazine management, extracurricular

Abstract

Learning to understand ideas and facts in an exposition text of one of the materials taught in class VIII C of the State Junior High School 2 Tabanan. Based on the results of the initial research, it was found that students had difficulty in distinguishing ideas and facts in the exposition text. Students seem to pay less attention to the teacher's explanation and are busy doing other activities while the learning process is in progress. The learning process in the classroom takes place in one direction without involving students to ask questions, find out, and learn. In addition, the activities of ideas and facts in the exposition text are too book and theoretical so that learning does not seem to be able to encourage students to actively think to solve problems. This study aims to describe theability to understand ideas and facts in theexposition text of class VIII C students of StateJunior High School 2 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 academic year before and before applying the discovery learning method. Data collection methods used, namely the observation method and the test method. The observation method used to obtain data about student attitudes and behavior. The test method used to determine the ability to understand the ideas and facts in the exposition text. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis method. Based on the data analysis, the results showed that the average value of students in the pre-cycle was 64.87, then in the first cycle it increased to 70.00 with the percentage increase from the pre-cycle to the first cycle of 8.91%. Furthermore, the average value of the class in the second cycle increased to 82.05 with the percentage increase from the first cycle to the second cycle of 18.21%. Thus, if it is rejected by the action hypothesis, the ability to understand and fact in the exposition text by applying the discovery learning Wacana - Volume XXII Edisi Oktober 2022 P a g e 57method of class VIII C students of State Junior HighSchool 2 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 academic year will increase.

Abstract

Language skills, such as studying short stories, are still perceived as difficult skills, because students do not know how to interpret the meaning of stories that occur in a short story. The purpose of this study is to contribute ideas/opinions in order to improve the ability to study the structure and language of short stories for students of class IX B State Junior High School 2 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles with 38 students. Data collection methods used, namely the method of observation, test method and method of recording documents. Observation method was used to obtain data about students' attitudes and behavior. The test method is used to determine the students' ability in studying the structure and language of short stories. The data analysis method used is descriptive method. The results show that the ability to study the structure and language of short stories for class IX B students at State Junior High School 2 Tabanan in the 2021/2022 academic year by applying the discovery learning has increased. This is evident from the score in the pre-cycle class average of 61.84, then in the first cycle increased to 70.52, and in the second cycle increased to 81.57. The increase from pre-cycle to cycle I was 14.64%. The increase from cycle I to cycle II was 16.19. The average increase in cycle II reflects the students' understanding of the structure and language of short stories getting better. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that by applying the discovery learning students' abilities have increased. Thus, it is recommended for Indonesian language teachers to apply the discovery learning when learning about studying the structure and language of short stories because it has been proven that the application of the discovery learning can improve students' abilities.

Abstract

Novel merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang menarik untuk ditelaah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui relevansi sebuah novel pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas melalui kajian unsur intrinsik novel Cintaku di Lembata. Novel Cintaku di Lembata karangan Sari Narulita yang terbit pertama kali pada 2016 ini digunaan sebagai sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mengkaji novel ini ialah dengan metode kepustakaan, sedangkan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan ditemukannya muatan unsur intrinsic novel Cintaku di Lembata meliputi tema, tokoh, penokohan, dan plot/alur. Tema novel Cintaku di Lembata tergolong dalam jenis tema sosial. Tokoh dalam novel terdiri atas tokoh utama dan tokoh sampingan. Penokohan yang dibangun mencerminkan karakter setiap tokoh. Adapun plot/alur dalam novel diuraikan dalam lima tahapan yaitu tahap situasion, tahap generating circumstances, tahap rising action, tahap climax, dan tahap denouement. Novel Cintaku di Lembata sangat relevan dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA kelas XII semester 2 Kurikulum Merdeka. Selain sebagai bahan ajar, novel Cintaku di Lembata juga dapat dijadikan sebagai media untuk siswa memahami keragaman budaya dan alam daerah lainnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the relationship between the views of Tirto Adhi Soerjo and the character Minke in the novel Bumi Human in terms of feminism. This research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources are the novel Earth of Mankind by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and the book entitled Tirto Adhi Soerjo Bapak Pers Indonesia (2012) written by M Rodhi As'ad. Data collection instruments are tables in the form of data cards and data analysis tables. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively with inductive conclusions drawn. The theory used to solve research problems is intertextuality. The results of data analysis show that Minke's views on feminism are known through the figures Nyai Ontosoroh and Annelies Mellema, there are three struggles for women shown: women's equality in the economic, social and political fields. Tirto Adhi Soerjo views feminism as an important thing. There are two things that Tirto is fighting for for women, namely, women's right to speak through the press and fighting for women to manage the media independently.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku cerita bergambar sebagai media edukasi literasianti kekerasan digital bagi remaja. Buku cerita ini dirancang dengan pendekatan visual yang menarik,menggunakan narasi yang relevan dan dekat dengan kehidupan remaja. Dengan menggunakan metodepenelitian pengembangan (R&D), buku ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif untukmenyampaikan pesan tentang bahaya kekerasan digital, cara pencegahannya, serta langkah yang dapatdiambil jika menjadi korban. Selain itu, buku ini juga didukung dengan evaluasi melalui uji cobaterbatas di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah untuk mengukur efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkanpemahaman dan kesadaran mereka. Penelitian ini menarik karena, di tengah maraknya penggunaanteknologi di kalangan remaja, masih sedikit media edukasi yang secara spesifik membahas literasi antikekerasan digital. Buku cerita bergambar menawarkan pendekatan yang unik dan interaktif, memadukanvisualisasi yang menarik dengan pesan-pesan edukatif yang mendalam. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitianini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi dunia pendidikan dalam membentukgenerasi muda yang lebih bijak, aman, dan bertanggung jawab dalam menggunakan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan pandangan Feodalisme antara Tirto Adhi Soerjo dan tokoh Minke dalam novel Bumi Manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini merupakan novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dan buku berjudul Tirto Adhi Soerjo Bapak Pers Indonesia (2012) yang ditulis M Rodhi As’ad. Instrumen pengambilan data adalah tabel berupa kartu data dan tabel analisis data. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan penarikan simpulan secara induktif. Teori yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah penelitian adalah intertekstualitas.Minke menolak feodalisme karena ia memandang feodalisme sebagai suatu tindakan yang membuat manusia kehilangan martabatnya. Minke adalah tokoh yang menentang kolonialisme. Sementara itu, Tirto Adhi Soerjo dengan terang menentang feodalisme melalui surat kabar yang ia kelola sendiri.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of using short story posters to enhance vocabulary achievement among young learners. Conducted at SD Negeri 1 Satera, the research involved 15 fifth-grade students during the 2024/2025 academic year. A classroom action research design was employed, with pretest and posttest data collected to measure the impact of the intervention. The results reveal a significant improvement in students' vocabulary achievement, with the average score increasing from 55.2 in the pretest to 78.6 in the posttest. The standard deviation decreased from 8.4 to 7.2, indicating more consistent performance across the group. The combination of narrative context and visual aids in short story posters proved effective in making vocabulary learning engaging and meaningful, catering to young learners' developmental needs and learning preferences.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the writing skills of ninth-grade students at SMP N 2 Tabanan through the application of the Flip Picture technique in narrative texts. This technique utilizes a series of images as visual aids to stimulate students' imagination and help them understand narrative structure. The research employed a classroom action research method with two main stages: pre-test and post-test. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' writing abilities, with the average score increasing from 65 in the pre-test to 80 in the post-test. The Flip Picture technique proved effective in enhancing text organization, vocabulary usage, and student creativity. Additionally, students demonstrated higher motivation and engagement during the writing process. However, some students faced difficulties in constructing sentences due to limited vocabulary. This study concludes that the Flip Picture technique can serve as an innovative and interactive teaching method to enhance writing skills, particularly in narrative texts. Further research is recommended to combine this technique with vocabulary enhancement strategies for more comprehensive writing skill development.
