Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' early reading skills through the use of picture word cards in grade 1 at UPT SDN 024 Limau Manis in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is classroom action research. The subjects of this study are 15 students, while the objects of this study are picture word cards and improving students' early reading skills. The study was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, testing, and documentation. Based on the increase in the number of students who met the criteria for achieving learning objectives (KKTP) and the improvement in class average scores and classical scores. The classical completion rate in Cycle I Session I was 46.66%, in Cycle I Session II 53.33%, and in Cycle II Session I 66.67%, then in Cycle II Session II 93.34%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of illustrated word cards can enhance the reading skills of first-grade students at UPT SDN 024 Limau Manis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine where the location of difficulty and factors that cause difficulties in learning mathematics on the subject of integer count operation. Research subjects are taken that is class V which has the average value of mathematics still under Minimum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM). Data collection methods used were test method, observation method, interview method. The test method is used to obtain student completion data on the counting integer counting material in the form of essay 10 items. Observation method is used to determine the condition of subjects during the learning activities of mathematics and to know the factors that can affect the learning process of mathematics. And interview method is done to know clearly problem faced by student when study material counting integer. From the data of final analysis result, the percentage of students difficulties in skill 50% including enough category, difficulties in understanding the concept of 23.3% including less category and difficulty in problem solving by 20% including less category. So expect teachers in shaping the pattern of teaching mathematics is not solely shown in the students' skills in solving the problem. But more important is how to invite students to understand and understand and master the existing concepts well and correctly, so that students do not have difficulty in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Pancasila di kelas IV SDN 003 Langgini, Kecamatan Bangkinang, Kabupaten Kampar menjadi permasalahan yang perlu segera diatasi. Salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa adalah melalui penerapan media permainan monopoli yang dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Pancasila melalui penerapan media permainan monopoli yang berisi soal-soal materi Pancasila dan dilengkapi kartu tantangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan dengan empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli–Agustus 2025 dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa kelas IV yang terdiri atas 8 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari pra tindakan ke siklus I sebesar 17,5%, dan meningkat kembali dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 40%. Dengan demikian, penerapan media permainan monopoli dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Pancasila di SDN 003 Langgini dengan total peningkatan sebesar 57,5%.
