Abstract

This research aims to describe the effect of guided inquiry-based teaching materials assisted by V-Labs to improve students' science literacy after using the V-Lab (Virtual Laboratory). The method in this study is a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group design where the sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The selected research sample is X-MIA 1 as the control class and X-MIA 5 as the experimental class. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Deli Serdang in June 2022. The data collection technique used a scientific literacy test. The results showed that there was an effect of guided inquiry-based teaching materials assisted by v-labs in improving students' scientific literacy with the t-test at = 0.05 obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 (p<0.05). The average posttest value is 13.39 and the N-Gain value is 0.69 in the medium category. In addition, it can also be seen an increase in aspects of scientific literacy, namely 82% competence, 63% context and 72% knowledge.

Abstract

There are 2 cases discussed in this article, namely: (1) What is the psychological condition that occurs in children at the Permata Child Care Center (TPA) Pinang Sebatang, (2) How is the religious development of children at the Pinang Sebatang Child Care Center (TPA). The aim of this research is to identify the psychological condition and religious growth of children at the Pinang Sebatang Child Care Center (TPA), Bangko City. To uncover this case in depth and comprehensively, researchers used qualitative descriptive methods which are useful for sharing data, facts and information regarding the psychological condition of children and the religious development of children in that place, after which the information is described, analyzed and discussed to reveal the case. From the research results, it was found that (1) the psychological condition of children in the Pinang Sebatang TPA has a psychological condition (normal) or the child has been able to adapt and relate well to the Pinang Sebatang TPA area for children with psychological problems. The condition of children (not normal) has a tendency to cry easily, get angry easily, feel insecure and unable to adapt to the area, (2) The religious growth of children at Pinang Sebatang TPA found 2 types of religious growth, firstly children easily accept the educational process and description. For example, in the process of learning to perform ablution, prayer, and learning to recite the Koran, children can receive education regarding these interpretations well. Second, it is difficult for children to receive religious education in the sense that there are children who have difficulty learning to read, learning to memorize and are unable to master what is being taught and are not yet able to model what is taught by their supervising teacher.

Abstract

Teaching materials play an essential role in education, serving as critical resources and guides for both teachers and students. They significantly enhance students' understanding and competency development by aligning with curriculum demands, particularly skill-based competencies. Science process skills are vital for engaging students in Physics, yet traditional teaching methods often limit the development of these skills. Effective Physics education should incorporate diverse strategies, including the case study approach, which fosters scientific thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Implementing a scientific approach can further enhance these skills but may present challenges such as reduced learning pace and student interest. Teachers must address these challenges through close monitoring and thorough preparation, ensuring teaching materials are valid and effective. Researchers propose integrating case-based methods with a scientific approach to aid students in learning wave phenomena, making Physics concepts more accessible. The effectiveness of these materials will be evaluated using the N-Gain test, a statistical measure assessing improvement in student performance through a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, with data analyzed using SPSS. This study aims to identify issues and gather user feedback to optimize Physics teaching materials. The analysis of teaching materials developed using the case method, supported by a scientific approach, reveals their effectiveness in enhancing students' science process skills. The average N-Gain score of 0.71, reflects a 71% improvement, these materials significantly improve students' abilities, particularly in the Sound Wave subject. The effectiveness is evident in the enhanced skills of analysis and problem-solving among students, validated through pre-test and post-test comparisons. The average pre-test score was 60.4, which increased to 88.3 in the post-test. Despite some challenges such as inconsistent internet access, the teaching materials proved to be highly effective, with 20 students achieving effective results and 10 achieving fairly effective results. The teaching materials also foster various science process skills including critical thinking, experimentation, and communication. These methods encourage student engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, real-world application, creativity, and overcoming learning barriers, making education more dynamic and interactive.

Abstract

The accreditation process aims to assess and improve the quality of education in schools, both public and private. The accreditation process begins with preparation, such as forming a team, socialization, training, gathering data and documents, and preparing a self-assessment report that reflects the school's condition and achievements. Next, the accreditation instrument is filled out, covering three main components: management, the educational and learning process, and facilities and infrastructure. Each component is assessed based on the quality of human resource management, curriculum, teaching methods, facilities, and other aspects that support achieving educational standards. This process not only provides recognition of the school's quality but also encourages improvement and innovation for the enhancement of educational quality. The methodology used in writing this journal combines descriptive-analytical approaches and literature studies. Accreditation results in a thorough evaluation of management, learning, and school facilities, as well as helping to identify strengths and areas needing improvement. After the field visitation, the assessment involves data verification, observations, interviews, and documentation of facilities. The assessor then analyzes the school's performance according to national education standards and produces a report containing findings, recommendations, and conclusions about the accreditation status. Finally, a meeting is held to determine the accreditation status (A, B, C, or non-accredited) and provide recommendations for improvement for schools that need to enhance their educational quality. The accreditation assessment of Basic and Secondary Education (PDM) after the visitation is that accreditation aims to evaluate and improve the quality of schools. This process includes data verification, performance analysis, and the determination of accreditation status, which serves as the basis for improvement and reaccreditation. The accreditation results provide transparency and ensure the enhancement of education quality at the primary and secondary levels.ABSTRAKProses akreditasi bertujuan untuk menilai dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah, baik negeri maupun swasta. Tahapan akreditasi dimulai dengan persiapan, seperti pembentukan tim, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pengumpulan data dan dokumen, serta penyusunan laporan diri yang menggambarkan kondisi dan pencapaian sekolah. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengisian instrumen akreditasi yang mencakup tiga komponen utama: manajemen, proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran, serta sarana dan prasarana. Setiap komponen dinilai berdasarkan kualitas pengelolaan SDM, kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, fasilitas, dan aspek lain yang mendukung pencapaian standar pendidikan. Proses ini tidak hanya memberikan pengakuan terhadap kualitas sekolah, tetapi juga mendorong perbaikan dan inovasi untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Metode penulisan jurnal ini menggabungkan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis dan studi literatur. Akreditasi menghasilkan evaluasi mendalam terhadap manajemen, pembelajaran, dan fasilitas di sekolah, serta membantu mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan area yang perlu diperbaiki. Setelah visitasi lapangan, asesmen melibatkan verifikasi data, hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi fasilitas. Asesor kemudian menganalisis kinerja sekolah sesuai standar pendidikan nasional dan menghasilkan laporan yang berisi temuan, rekomendasi, serta kesimpulan status akreditasi. Akhirnya, rapat penetapan hasil akreditasi menentukan status (A, B, C, atau tidak terakreditasi) dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan bagi sekolah yang perlu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penilaian akreditasi Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (PDM) setelah visitasi adalah bahwa akreditasi bertujuan untuk menilai dan meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. Proses ini meliputi verifikasi data, analisis kinerja, dan penetapan status akreditasi, yang menjadi dasar perbaikan dan reakreditasi. Hasil akreditasi memberikan transparansi dan memastikan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di tingkat dasar dan menengah.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Fisika Dasar merupakan matakuliah wajib yang diajarkan di FMIPA Unimed dan menjadi dasar bagi berbagai disiplin ilmu lainnya. Namun, masih rendahnya pemahaman mahasiswa non-Fisika terhadap konsep fisika menunjukkan perlunya inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) untuk membantu visualisasi konsep fisika yang abstrak. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan ADDIE pada tahapan implementasi. Bahan ajar di ujicobakan pada mahasiswa jurusan fisika untuk melihat efektifitas bahan ajar dari respon mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan bahan ajar Fisika berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada topik kinematika gerak terbukti efektif dalam mendukung kegiatan perkuliahan, dengan hasil evaluasi yang termasuk dalam kategori baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan belajar mahasiswa, baik dari segi isi maupun cara penyampaian materi. Sebagai upaya pengembangan lanjutan, disarankan agar bahan ajar tersebut terus diperbaiki dan disempurnakan untuk lebih meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta membantu mahasiswa dalam mencapai kompetensi secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap profil dan persentase level kognitif siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi Optik. Subyek penelitian terdiri darii 30 orang siswa SMA kelas XII MAS Tahfizhil Qur’an Yayasan Islamic Center Sumatera Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualtatif dengan instrumen soal pilihan ganda beralasan berjumlah 16 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif mengingat (C1) sebesar 80%, b) rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif memahami (C2) sebesar 72,2%, c) rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif mengaplikasi (C3) sebesar 76,6%, d)rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif menganalisis (C4) sebesar 56,6%,rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif mengevaluasi (C5) sebesar 58,8%, dan rata-rata nilai persentase level kognitif mencipta (C6) sebesar 16,6%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the strategy of developing sago business in waelawi village kec. West Malangke Regency. North Luwu. This study uses a qualitative method using data collection techniques through observation and interviews, then the data obtained is processed using data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions (verification). The strategy used to develop sago business through marketing mix in Waelawi Village, West Malangke District, North Luwu Regency, namely: Product strategy to improve product quality. Price strategy, namely sago farmers adjust prices to competitors and adjust according to the quality of their products. The place strategy, namely sago farmers using their own private land, aims to make it easier for farmers to supervise processing and make it easier for consumers to make transactions. Promotion strategy (promotion) that is good relations with customers, collaborating with one of the companies and conducting promotions through social media.
