Abstract

This study aims to improve learning motivation and learning outcomes of students with disabilities in a Citizenship Education course through the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by Articulate Storyline media. The research employed Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles involving 12 students with disabilities at Pamulang University. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire and cognitive achievement tests administered in the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The results indicate an improvement in learning motivation from 33% in cycle I to 78% in cycle II. In addition, classical learning completeness increased from 33% to 83%, indicating better cognitive achievement after the implementation of the intervention. The findings suggest that the integration of PBL and interactive digital media facilitates active participation, enhances motivation, and supports inclusive learning. Therefore, the use of Articulate Storyline within a PBL framework can be an effective instructional strategy to improve motivation and learning outcomes for students with disabilities in higher education.

Abstract

The indigenous knowledge of the Baduy people encompasses social, cultural, and environmental elements essential for sustainable development. This study intends to examine and integrate literature about social, cultural, and environmental ethics within Baduy wisdom. The employed methodology is a systematic literature review adhering to the PRISMA 2020 principles. A literature search was performed via Google Scholar and Scopus via the Publish or Perish tool, encompassing papers from 2016 to 2024, along by a comprehensive analysis of 8 chosen articles. The study's findings delineate three primary themes: social ethics (pertaining to customary structures and community organisations), cultural ethics (concerning the significance of rituals and spiritual values), and environmental ethics (focused on nature conservation and restrictions on environmental alteration) through customary law (Pikukuh), spiritual beliefs (Sunda Wiwitan), traditional agricultural practices, and intergenerational oral traditions (Pamali). This study reinforces the concept of a comprehensive and community-oriented framework for sustainable living, grounded in the ideals of simplicity, collaboration, and harmony with nature. Notwithstanding the variety of existing research, considerable deficiencies persist, particularly in the analysis of social, cultural, and environmental ethics rooted in local wisdom, the interdisciplinary comprehension of the Baduy community's knowledge system, and the imperative of integrating local wisdom into global dialogues on sustainability and cultural preservation.

Abstract

Islamic education holds a strategic position in Indonesia's national education system because it plays a role in holistically shaping the character, morals, and spirituality of students. This study aims to analyze the position, role, and implementation of Islamic education within the national education system, while also identifying challenges and opportunities for its development in the modern era. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods. Data were collected through a review of various scientific sources such as academic books, reputable journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically through the stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic education has been normatively and structurally integrated into the national education system, as reflected in educational regulations and the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools, and religious education in public schools. In practice, Islamic education contributes to the internalization of religious values, the formation of noble morals, and the strengthening of students' moral and cultural identities. The discussion shows that the integration of Islamic education into the national education system has made a significant contribution to creating a generation that is not only intellectually superior but also possesses moral and spiritual integrity. However, strengthening curriculum quality, enhancing educator competency, and fostering technology-based learning innovations are challenges that require a systematic response. Therefore, synergy between education policy, curriculum development, and adaptive pedagogical practices is necessary to ensure Islamic education can respond to the dynamics of societal development and global demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of mass media in shaping public perceptions of Islamic education policies in Indonesia. Mass media plays a strategic role as a means of disseminating information and shaping public opinion through framing, issue selection, and news presentation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with library research supported by content analysis of various media reports related to Islamic education policies. Data were collected from journal articles, online news, and relevant policy documents, then analyzed descriptively and analytically. The results indicate that mass media plays a significant role in shaping public perceptions through the construction of social reality influenced by editorial perspectives, vested interests, and media ideology. Positive reporting tends to increase public trust in Islamic education policies, while negative reporting can foster critical perceptions and even public resistance. Furthermore, the public's level of media literacy also influences how the public understands and interprets the information conveyed. Therefore, an active role is needed for the government, educational institutions, and the public to respond critically to information to create an objective and constructive perception of Islamic education policies.
