Abstract

The dissemination of information today is largely conducted through websites, making it easier for everyone to access information anywhere with the internet. Various formal institutions utilize websites for marketing, information, education, communication, and promotion. One such utilization is the website of SMPN 2 Bangorejo, which aims to attract prospective new students to enroll at SMPN 2 Bangorejo. However, the promotion through the website has not been optimal, as interviews conducted with 6th-grade elementary school students revealed that they were unaware of the SMPN 2 Bangorejo website. A presentation of the school website was then conducted for the students, and it was found that the 6th-grade students encountered several difficulties in navigating the website. This study aims to provide design recommendations for the SMPN 2 Bangorejo website. An initial survey calculated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method yielded a score of 49.71 with a "worst" indicator, proving that the website needs UI/UX improvements. After improvements were made using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method, which includes four stages: understanding the context of use, specifying user requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating against requirements, the SUS score increased to 82.8 with an "excellent" indicator. The increase in the SUS score demonstrates that the User-Centered Design (UCD) method resulted in a new design that received a better response from users.

Abstract

At the Modern Islamic Boarding School (PPM) Al-Azhar Muncar, the issues of time and distance between parents and students often hinder the monitoring and communication processes. To address these problems, a web-based student monitoring application for PPM Al-Azhar Muncar was developed. This web-based application will enable effective recording and monitoring of attendance, grades, violations, and student permissions. However, the development of this web-based application faced challenges such as limited time and uncertain feature complexity. As a result, feature development was limited to non-academic areas (Islamic boarding school activities). To overcome the limited time constraint, the research employed the iterative incremental method, which allows for the gradual addition of features and improvements. This method enables the development team to implement and test each feature incrementally in small iterations, allowing usable results to be released earlier, even while other features are still under development. With this approach, development can continue despite the limited available time, as the essential core features can already function properly. This research focuses on backend development using the Laravel framework. The development process went through four iterations, with each iteration comprising the inception, elaboration, construction, and transition phases. During the transition phase, unit testing was conducted. The backend development resulted in features for violations, attendance, permissions, and grading. Testing results indicated that each unit tested, both for valid and invalid cases, met the expected outcomes. Thus, the research was successfully conducted. For future research, the existing features can be expanded to cover academic areas (general education)

Abstract

Al-Azhar Islamic Boarding School is located in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. So far, the Islamic boarding school has only been able to convey information on the students' progress to parents when collecting report cards at the end of the semester, this is considered less than optimal in terms of supervision of the students. To overcome this problem, a web-based student monitoring application has been developed which aims to make it easier to convey information to student guardians. Integration testing is carried out to ensure that every feature in the application can be connected properly. Features tested include violations, permissions, absences, and grades features, to ensure they can function properly simultaneously in their absence bug or data errors. This test is carried out to ensure that the connected features can work optimally, so that the data produced valid and reduce the potential for errors in conveying information. Testing carried out on 24 scenarios showed results with an effectiveness level of 100%, with all features declared to have passed the test. This proves that the integration between features in the application can run well.

Abstract

Abstract One of the Islamic boarding schools located in Banyuwangi is the Al-Azhar Modern Islamic Boarding School, which is located in Muncar District. At the Al-Azhar Islamic Boarding School, information regarding the development of students is only provided during the distribution of report cards at the end of the semester and only contains information regarding academic development. So when a student's guardian wants to know about a child's development, they have to visit the Islamic boarding school directly. Visits are limited to two times a month. This causes parents to be less able to monitor their child's development effectively and can lead to miscommunication. Given this problem, a student-based monitoring application is needed web as a medium for conveying information regarding the development of students with the main features, namely violations, absenteeism, assessments, achievements. In designing the interface, researchers use methods User Centered Design (UCD), this method was chosen because it involves the user in the design process to create an interface design that suits the user's needs. Researchers carried out tests using the method System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess the level of application usability for 30 respondents, namely student administrators and guardians with the final SUS result of each feature getting a score of 75.7 converted into Grade B. It can be concluded that the interface development created is in accordance with the user's needs and desires.

Abstract

Drug planning in drug procurement activities is less monitored by the Banyuwangi Health Office which affects the availability of drugs at the Banyuwangi Regency Health Office. The purpose of this research is to avoid overlapping drug stocks at the Banyuwangi Health Office because drugs are one of the problems at the Banyuwangi Regency Health Office. Drug planning is one of the important and decisive aspects of drug management drug planning and health supplies are a decisive start in drug management. In Banyuwangi Regency, drug planning still uses manual methods. This can trigger the length of drug data collection which ends up delaying drug planning, this triggers researchers to use this research method using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with the initial stage, namely designing needs by conducting direct interviews and reviewing data to obtain information about drug planning in the Banyuwangi Regency Health Office.In the process of developing this web-based drug planning application, it is hoped that it can minimize overlapping drug stocks between the Banyuwangi Regency Health Office and Puskesmas so that drug planning can be neatly arranged. The testing conducted by the researcher is Black Box Testing. By using this method, the developer can ensure that the system developed meets the functional and operational requirements of the users.

Abstract

Pokmas Sumberwaru Maju di Kelurahan Gombengsari, Kalipuro, Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur mempunyai misi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi para anggotanya melalui pemasaran produk-produk hasil olahan rumahan yang diperoleh dari sumber daya alam di wilayah Gombengsari. Untuk meningkatkan penjualan produk-produk tersebut maka dibutuhkan usaha promosi. Akan tetapi promosi yang telah dilakukan hanya terbatas pada pameran di acara-acara maupun festival-festival yang ada di wilayah Banyuwangi sehingga jangkauan promosinya masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu Pokmas Sumberwaru Maju membutuhkan media promosi yang dapat menyebarkan informasi mengenai produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh para anggotanya secara luas. Salah satu media promosi yang dapat digunakan adalah katalog online berupa aplikasi berbasis web. Oleh karena itu pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pengembangan dan penerapan katalog online untuk promosi produk Pokmas Sumberwaru Maju. Pengembangan katalog online tersebut dilakukan menggunakan framework NextJS dengan dukungan database dari Supabase dan deployment menggunakan platform Vercel. Katalog online tersebut kemudian disosialisasikan kepada pengelola Pokmas Sumberwaru Maju dan para anggotanya. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah katalog online yang diberi nama E-Katalog Sumberwaru Maju tersebut sudah dapat diakses melalui alamat https://katalog-sumberwaru.store.

Abstract

In the modern era that continues to develop, websites have become a common part for promotional media, transactions, and obtaining information on the buying and selling transaction process. UI/UX improvements on the Cantique Property website are very important in building a company's image and improving user experience. By using the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach, the main focus is to facilitate access to information and create an impressive experience for users. Then using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method using a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms by applying SUS questionnaire questions to test the usability of a system. The results of the study obtained before the SUS redesign were obtained, namely 44% where the grade scale was at F with a poor indicator. Then after the redesign, the SUS value obtained increased to 80% which was at grade scale A with a good indicator. so it can be concluded that the design improvements made brought an increase in score of around 36%, so that this proves that testing with SUS in this study was successful and the new design was well received by website users.

Abstract

Sektor pertanian dan peternakan merupakan salah satu sumber mata pencaharian yang cukup besar di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Desa Bangsring merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki potensi pertanian dan peternakan yang tinggi, meliputi budidaya jagung, cabai, ternak sapi hingga kambing. Saat ini di Desa Bangsring terdapat kelompok ternak yang aktif dalam kegiatan ternak kambing. Limbah ternak yang dihasilkan meliputi kotoran padat dan urin kambing. Selama ini belum ada pemanfataan dan pengolahan limbah ternak tersebut, biasanya limbah peternakan di buang pada aliran sungai dan menumpuk sehingga mengganggu kesehatan lingkungan dan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada, maka tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi melaksanakan program pemberdayaan masyarakat berupa produksi pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan limbah kotoran dan urin kambing dengan adaptasi fermentasi berbasis IoT (Internet of Things). Kegiatan pemberdayaan dilaksanakan dalam 5 tahapan yang terdiri dari tahap survey, sosialisasi, praktik produksi biofertilizer, pembuatan sistem controlling suhu dan monitoring. Kegiatan sosialisasi dihadiri oleh 15 anggota aktif kelompok ternak dimana seluruh anggota kelompok telah berhasil melakukan produksi dua jenis biofertilizer yaitu pupuk kohe kambing padat dan POC (pupuk organik cair) urin kambing. Produk biofertilizer yang berhasil diproduksi oleh kelompok ternak Desa Bangsring merupakan hasil adaptasi Teknologi Tepat Guna yang telah diberikan oleh Tim Pengabdian.
