Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation to read and the low literacy score of students of SMP Negeri 2 Kejobong. To foster students' motivation and reading literacy skills, the Web-Based Literacy Program is used. The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the management of the Web-Based Literacy program, (2) to describe the results of students' reading motivation, and (3) to find out students' reading literacy skills. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches, while data collection techniques use techniques: interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. After processing and analyzing data, it was concluded that: (1) The management used in the Web-Based Literacy Program is the following activities: a) planning including the formation of a school literacy team, budgeting for website creation, school web design, and socialization of web-based literacy programs, b) organizing involving teachers and employees who are distributed into several roles and responsibilities, c) implementing (actuating) literacy programs carried out from 07.10 – 07.30 every Wednesday and Saturday, and c) supervision (controlling) including observation activities of the implementation of activities, checking the documentation of the attendance list, and checking the results of student summaries, (2) The web-based literacy program succeeded in increasing the reading motivation of SMP Negeri 2 Kejobong students, with an average motivation of 3.97 (good category). A total of 5.74% of students had good motivation, 67.2% were categorized as good, and 27.5% were categorized as very good, and (3) students' reading literacy ability increased by 10.83 points, from 62.94 before the web-based literacy program to 73.77 after the program was implemented. The percentage of students who achieved the Minimum Literacy Completeness Criteria also increased from 66.70% to 93.33%, or an increase of 26.67%.

Abstract

Reading skills are basic skills for students that they must master in order to follow all activities in the education and learning process. Beginning reading is the initial reading given to children in grade I (one). The purpose of this study is to improve the beginning reading skills of grade 1 students as a basis for understanding further lessons. The method used is the PTK model developed by Kurt Lewin. Data analysis techniques are quantitative and qualitative. The obstacles faced include the fact that students' reading skills at the elementary school level tend to be low. This can be seen from the data on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language content in grade 1 SDN 2 Samudra Kulon. It is expected that "Through the Global Method with Picture Word Board Media" can attract students' interest and attention, so that they want to learn with their own desire without feeling forced to do so. This is a great potential to improve beginning reading skills in grade 1 students at SDN 2 Samudra Kulon.

Abstract

In the world of education, teachers play a leading role in realizing educational goals and ideals. Teachers must have competence, including teacher personality competence. On the other hand, the current teacher problem is very complex. Teachers should improve themselves to be able to improve the personality competence of a teacher. Teachers as role models for their students must have a complete attitude and personality that can be used as an idol role model in all aspects of their lives. Personality competency is related to the appearance of the teacher as an individual who is disciplined, has a good appearance, is responsible, has commitment and is a role model. Exploring teacher personality competencies can be done using various media, one of which is through literary works in the form of novels. The novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata is one of the literary works (that literary works are portraits of life: data) which raises the theme of the life of a teacher. The aim of this research is to find out in depth the personality competence of the teacher in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata using a theoretical approach. philosophy of science, namely from an epistemological perspective. This research is library research, namely the data needed to complete the research is obtained from the library in the form of books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals, documents, magazines and so on. The results of this research show that in the novel Guru Aini there is an identification of teacher personality competencies, namely: (a) teacher personality competencies which include noble, steady, stable and mature morals, being a role model, religious, authoritative, as well as a sense of pride in being a teacher and trusting self.

Abstract

The use of information and communication technology (ICT)-based learning media in grade VI of SD Negeri 01 Semedo is still limited, although learning media is a crucial factor in the success of the learning process. This study aims to explore students' perceptions of the use of Wordwall application, which provides interactive templates such as images and video games to increase students' interest and engagement in Indonesian language learning. The study involved 23 students as subjects, with data collection conducted through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs). The results of the analysis showed that most students gave positive perceptions towards the use of Wordwall, felt more motivated, and actively participated in learning activities. The findings suggest that ICT integration, particularly game-based applications, can enhance students' learning experience as well as better understanding of the material. This study recommends that teachers continue to use technology such as Wordwall in learning to improve student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Writing activity is the activity of expressing ideas in written form as a means of communicating indirectly. Writing skills as one of the competencies in Indonesian language lessons is important for students, but do not receive enough attention. Through observation and interview activities, it was found that the writing skills of sixth (6th ) grade students at SD Negeri 02 Cikawung were still lacking. This research aims to form the habit of composing sentences in Indonesian through writing activities in the Daily Journal. This research used qualitative research methods. In this research, students carry out habitual activities in the form of writing in a daily journal such as reflecting on learning, writing down feelings, describing pictures, or writing based on a specified theme. After this activity, it was discovered that the habit of writing and writing ability had improved. This can be seen from the comparison of the initial survey and the final survey of activities, as well as the results of observations in students' daily journal notes. However, there are still some students who are not optimal in carrying out daily journal writing activities. Several inhibiting problems were reviewed to improve further activities.

Abstract

The phenomenon of religious stereotypes in educational videos on YouTube has become a worrying issue, especially in the context of early childhood education. With the increasing use of this platform as a learning tool, it is important to explore the negative impacts that may be caused by content that presents biased information. These stereotypes have the potential to influence students' perceptions of religion and create social tensions within the elementary school classroom environment. This study aims to examine the impact of religious stereotypes in educational videos and their implications for students' social interactions in the classroom. In this study, we used a qualitative approach involving video content analysis and in-depth interviews with teachers and students. The results showed that video content containing religious stereotypes contributed to misunderstandings and created tensions among students. Many students reported that they were influenced by the way religion was presented in the videos, which often did not reflect the reality of actual religious practices. These findings emphasize the need for a critical review of educational media content to prevent potential manipulation of information and controversies that can be detrimental to the learning process. In conclusion, this study recommends the development of comprehensive guidelines for evaluating and filtering educational content on YouTube, to ensure more inclusive and accurate representation of religion. This effort is important to build a positive learning environment and support the values of tolerance and interfaith understanding among students

Abstract

Literacy covers many aspects, not only reading and writing skills, but also includes the ability to understand information in a logical and critical way. Based on the results of observations in class III of SD Negeri 1 Cilangkap, students' ability to understand information is still low, this can be seen when students work on questions, some do not understand the meaning of the question. So to answer, there needs to be help from the teacher to understand the questions being worked on. One way to develop literacy skills among children is to use the storytelling method. This method can not only increase their interest in reading, but also improve verbal language skills, overall reading comprehension, and writing skills. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the implementation of the one-day-one-story program can develop students' literacy skills at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to analyze the extent to which the program contributed to improving student literacy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection methods used including direct observation, interviews, and documentation from students who participated in the one-day-one-story program . The results showed an increase in children's verbal abilities, creativity, and the emergence of ideas and concepts from students. This is reflected in the students' ability to tell stories well and the interaction between students who ask each other questions to dig deeper into information.

Abstract

This research is interesting because it analyzes the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project with the theme of a sustainable lifestyle at SDN Pasiraman Kidul to cultivate students' environmental awareness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project with the theme of a sustainable lifestyle at SDN Pasiraman Kidul. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Research data was analyzed using Talcott Parson's structural functional theory with data collection techniques conducted through observation, interviews, and document studies in August 2024. The selection of informants used purposive sampling, meaning that the informants selected had information data that could support the research results, totaling 10 people, including 1 principal, 1 coordinating teacher, 3 facilitator teachers, and 5 students of SDN Pasiraman Kidul. Researchers conducted source triangulation and technique triangulation for data validity. Data analysis techniques referred to the thinking of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study reveal that the achievements in the P5 program in the school environment include the collection of various types of waste, organic waste to be used as a learning medium for making compost, non-organic waste such as mineral water bottle plastic and plastic garbage bags to become ecobricks, and various other recycled crafts. The implementation of the P5 theme of a sustainable lifestyle with the topic "Reduce Plastic, Live Happily with the 5K Concept" enables students to develop into characters who are aware of and care about their environment by maintaining cleanliness, understanding, and being able to utilize the things around them

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menegaskan kembali makna dan fungsi aksiologi ilmu dalam filsafat pendidikan Islam di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) sebagai dasar pembentukan nilai, moral, dan tujuan pendidikan dasar. Selama ini, kajian filsafat pendidikan Islam lebih menyoroti aspek epistemologi dan ontologi, sedangkan dimensi aksiologi ilmu masih jarang dikaji dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi pustaka dengan analisis filosofis dan hermeneutik terhadap karya Al-Ghazali, Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, serta pemikir kontemporer seperti Moh. Roqib dan Nata. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa aksiologi ilmu dalam pendidikan MI meliputi tiga dimensi utama: (1) nilai moral dan spiritual, (2) pembentukan karakter dan adab peserta didik, serta (3) tujuan sosial dan teologis ilmu bagi kemaslahatan dan pengabdian kepada Allah SWT. Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada model konseptual tiga dimensi aksiologi ilmu yang mengintegrasikan nilai, moral, dan tujuan sebagai fondasi kurikulum dan pembelajaran MI, guna melahirkan insan berilmu dan beradab yang seimbang antara intelektualitas, moralitas, dan spiritualitas.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam pada hakikatnya berfungsi membentuk manusia yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia. Namun, perkembangan pendidikan modern cenderung menekankan aspek kognitif dan instrumental sehingga nilai-nilai spiritual dan kemanusiaan mulai terpinggirkan. Kondisi ini menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan aksiologis antara tujuan ideal pendidikan Islam dengan praktik pembelajaran di lembaga dasar, khususnya Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis dasar aksiologis pembelajaran humanis-religius serta relevansinya terhadap arah dan tujuan ilmu dalam konteks modern. Kajian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan filsafat pendidikan Islam, berfokus pada dimensi aksiologi yang menelaah nilai dan tujuan ilmu. Data diperoleh dari literatur klasik dan modern, seperti karya Al-Ghazali, Ibn Miskawaih, Al-Attas, dan pemikir pendidikan kontemporer seperti Rogers, Freire, dan Kuntowijoyo. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran humanis-religius merupakan wujud penerapan nilai aksiologis Islam, yaitu integrasi antara rasionalitas, moralitas, dan spiritualitas dalam proses pendidikan. Dengan menempatkan ilmu sebagai sarana pengabdian kepada Allah dan kemaslahatan manusia, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dapat menjadi ruang pembentukan generasi beradab dan berjiwa religius di tengah tantangan modernitas.
