Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training, work discipline, and career development on employee performance, as well as to examine the moderating effects of interactions among these variables on performance. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 65 respondents. The results show that training, work discipline, and career development have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This indicates that better training, higher discipline, and clearer career development lead to improved employee performance. However, the first and second moderating effects were found to be not significant, suggesting that the interactions among variables do not strengthen the relationship with performance. These findings imply that organizations should focus more on enhancing the main variables to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job stress, competence, and work motivation on employee performance, and to examine the role of moderating effects in this relationship. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method on data obtained from employee respondents. The results show that competence and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Competence has the most dominant influence with a coefficient of 0.608 and a p-value of 0.000, followed by work motivation with a coefficient of 0.315 and a p-value of 0.000. Conversely, job stress does not have a significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by a p-value of 0.263. In testing the moderating effects, only one moderation has a significant effect on performance (p = 0.028), although in a negative direction, while another moderating effect is rejected because it is not statistically significant (p = 0.105). These findings emphasize the importance of improving competence and work motivation in driving performance, as well as the need for organizational management to identify and manage factors that have the potential to weaken the relationship between variables. This research provides practical contributions to organizations in designing more effective human resource development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of competence and work environment on employee performance with motivation as a mediating variable at PT. PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Main Distribution Unit (UID Sumut). The research employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The sample consisted of 137 employees selected using purposive sampling. The results indicate that competence and work environment have a positive and significant effect on motivation, and both directly and indirectly influence employee performance. Motivation is also proven to be an intervening variable that strengthens the effect of competence and work environment on employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of improving competence, creating a supportive work environment, and enhancing motivation to optimize employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) UID North Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of situational leadership style on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at PT PLN (Persero) Service Unit Bukit Barisan with a total of 60 respondents. A quantitative approach was applied, and data were analyzed using SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that situational leadership style does not have a direct significant effect on employee performance, but it has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Another finding reveals that work motivation fully mediates the relationship between situational leadership style and employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of leadership style in shaping employee motivation, which in turn affects performance improvement. Therefore, organizations should adopt a flexible leadership approach that focuses on enhancing employee motivation to achieve optimal performance outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and emotional intelligence on work-life balance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among employees at Puskesmas Tanah Tinggi Binjai. Employing a quantitative approach with explanatory research design, data were collected through questionnaires from a total population of 80 employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that emotional intelligence has a significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction positively influences work-life balance. Competence does not affect job satisfaction but has a direct influence on the balance of work. Furthermore, emotional intelligence indirectly affects work-life balance through job satisfaction, while competence does not show a significant indirect effect via the same variable. This study highlights the importance of developing emotional intelligence and competence to enhance work-life balance in the healthcare sector work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work environment on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through career development as an intervening variable. The research was conducted on 69 respondents who are employees of a certain institution/company (institution name can be added if available). The analytical method used in this study is Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance but does not have a significant effect on career development. On the other hand, the work environment has a positive and significant effect on both career development and employee performance. Furthermore, career development also has a positive and significant effect on performance. In terms of indirect effects, the study found that career development does not mediate the relationship between workload and performance. However, it significantly mediates the relationship between the work environment and employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of a supportive work environment and structured career development programs in enhancing employee performance. Organizations are encouraged to provide conducive working conditions and continuous development opportunities to optimize employee outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training, work discipline, and career development on employee performance, as well as to examine the moderating role of the interaction between variables on performance. The research approach used was quantitative with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique. Data was obtained through distributing questionnaires to 65 respondents. The results showed that training, work discipline, and career development have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This indicates that the better the training is provided, the higher the discipline, and the clearer the direction of career development, the more employee performance will improve. Meanwhile, the first and second moderating effects did not have a significant influence, so the interaction between variables did not strengthen the relationship on performance. This finding implies that organizations need to focus more on strengthening the main variables in an effort to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Competence and Work Discipline on Rewards, with Work Infrastructure as a moderating variable at PT PLN (Persero) Rantauprapat Customer Service Implementation Unit. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the method of analysis. A total of 86 employees participated as respondents in this study. The results show that Competence (coefficient = 0.388; T-statistic = 3.266; P-value = 0.001) and Work Discipline (coefficient = 0.276; T-statistic = 2.307; P-value = 0.011) have a positive and significant effect on Rewards. Work Infrastructure also has a positive and significant effect on Rewards (coefficient = 0.362; T-statistic = 3.274; P-value = 0.001). However, the moderation analysis revealed that the interaction between Competence and Work Infrastructure (coefficient = -0.031; T-statistic = 0.235; P-value = 0.407) and the interaction between Work Discipline and Work Infrastructure (coefficient = 0.112; T-statistic = 0.900; P-value = 0.184) do not have significant effects on Rewards. Therefore, employee rewards are more directly influenced by competence, discipline, and the availability of work infrastructure, rather than by the moderating role of infrastructure.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of leadership and supervision on teacher professionalism with motivation as an intervening variable in MTs. Muhammadiyah 3 Ranges. Furthermore, this research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the research results, it is known that the results of the validity test on variables X1, Furthermore, in the reliability test, the Cronbach's alpha value for each variable is greater than the specified significance value (X1 = 0.651, Z = 0.823, Y = 0.647 > 0.6), indicating that all items are reliable. Then the normality test shows that the value of Asymp.Sig. in the variables X1 = 0.19, The coefficient of determination test shows that the leadership, supervision, and motivation variables have an influence on the teacher professionalism variable of 0.475 or 47.5%.In the partial test, the Tcount results obtained for variables X1 = 4.188, X2 = 3.865, Z = 9.874 are greater than Ttable = 2.025. Shows that the dependent and intervening variables have a partial influence on the dependent variable.
