Abstract

Food and life are inseparable in the living world. Humans today consume millions of different kinds of fatty foods. Despite its many uses, oil is currently a major source of environmental issues. Disposing of spent cooking oil waste continuously without taking the environment into account can have detrimental effects on both the environment and the ability of humans to survive. So, in order to reduce household waste—especially that which has the potential to harm the environment—innovation must be introduced to society. It is possible to turn used cooking oil waste from fried food vendors or domestic frying pans back into soap. This program attempts to increase public awareness of environmental issues while offering instruction and support in soap-making techniques.

Abstract

Improving emotional regulation skills in elementary school students is an essential need to support their social-emotional development and academic success. However, many students are still unable to identify, understand, and express their emotions appropriately. This community service activity aims to help elementary school students manage their emotions through the creation and use of “Islamic Emotion Cards.” This learning medium is designed by integrating Islamic values, illustrations of emotional expressions, and examples of behaviors aligned with religious teachings. The implementation method includes needs observation, card design, expert validation, and trials with students. The activities were carried out using an educational and participatory approach, giving students the opportunity to learn about different types of emotions, practice ways to manage them, and connect them with Islamic moral values. The results show that the “Islamic Emotion Cards” are effective in increasing students’ understanding of various emotions and encouraging them to express and control their emotions in more positive ways. Teachers also reported that the cards are easy to use in teaching and help create a more conducive classroom atmosphere. Thus, this medium can serve as an alternative educational solution for schools in developing students’ emotional regulation based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen discipline and independence among early childhood learners through the implementation of positive habituation at RA AD-DA’WAH in Kalibening Raya. The program involved 28 children in Group B and applied several methods: modeling, demonstration, gradual guidance, positive reinforcement, and social simulation. Data were collected through pre- and post-observation across seven behavioral development indicators. The results show significant improvements in children’s independence in organizing personal items (35% to 78%), queuing discipline (28% to 71%), understanding of handwashing procedures (39% to 86%), ability to follow instructions (50% to 89%), and responsibility in tidying up learning materials (21% to 89%). Emotional regulation and confidence to perform in front of the class also improved. These findings indicate that structured and consistent positive habituation, supported by a conducive learning environment, effectively strengthens early childhood character formation, particularly in discipline and independence. The program is recommended for replication in other early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at RA Taqwa Liga Muslim Indonesia and aimed to implement the Emotion Puzzle as part of religious habituation to support children’s emotional development. The media was applied through play-based learning combined with guidance in religious values such as praying, apologizing, patience, and gratitude. The implementation methods included socialization, teacher assistance, classroom practice, and evaluation. The results showed that children were better able to identify basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, and fear, and began to demonstrate religious-based behavior during daily interactions. Teachers also gained new skills in integrating emotional learning with religious values. Therefore, the Emotion Puzzle can serve as an effective and simple learning tool to support emotional development through a religious approach.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to strengthen the moral character and mental well-being of 8th-grade MTs students at Pondok Pesantren Misbahul Khair through a religious psychology approach. Adolescents at the madrasah level are in a dynamic developmental stage marked by identity formation, the need for moral guidance, and heightened sensitivity to emotional and social pressures. Within the pesantren environment, integrating religious education with psychological support is essential for cultivating stable character, virtuous behavior, and strong mental resilience. Based on these needs, this PKM program was designed to provide comprehensive guidance that addresses students’ spiritual, behavioral, and psychological dimensions. This program employed a descriptive qualitative method through field observations, informal interviews, counseling sessions, group discussions, and the reinforcement of religious practices. The training materials included Islamic moral values, religious strengthening through daily worship, emotional regulation based on Islamic psychological concepts, and the development of healthy social interactions in accordance with Islamic principles. Additional activities such as Qur’an reading habits, thematic studies, and the cultivation of etiquette toward teachers and peers also contributed to the program. The results indicate positive changes in students’ attitudes and behaviors. They demonstrated improved understanding of noble character, greater discipline in performing religious obligations, and better emotional control and expression. The religious psychology approach further helped students recognize their emotional states and relate them to relevant spiritual values, resulting in a balanced relationship between religious understanding and mental health. The pesantren administration responded positively, acknowledging the program’s significant contribution to character formation and students’ psychological development.

Abstract

This community service program assisted 15 children of Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an Manarul Huda, Tanjung Baru Timur, North Lampung (aged 7–12 years) in writing “Letters to Allah” containing their personal religious experiences and heartfelt confessions. The solution or implementation method was carried out simply on 22 November 2025 for 90 minutes through several stages: introduction to the concept of personal religious experience using a short story about Al-Ghazali and William James, distribution of coloured paper and cute envelopes, guided free writing, voluntary reading of the letters, and storage of the letters in a special “Mailbox for Allah” placed permanently in the TPA premises. The service successfully produced 12 original and deeply touching letters written by the children. The observed impacts included increased courage among the children to express their religious feelings, greater enthusiasm for Qur’anic studies, and reports from TPA administrators that the children more frequently talked about Allah at home. The outputs obtained were a permanent mailbox in the TPA, a digital photo album containing all the children’s letters, and a simple implementation guide document that can be easily replicated by other TPAs without significant cost.
