Abstract

Coal is a resource consumed by the world as the main ingredient in power generation and the staple material for steel and cement production. Within the Priyamanaya Energi Pit (PELH), which is a mining site, PT Kalimantan Prima Persada, which is a contractor, is involved in the process of coal mining.Within the Priyamanaya Energi Pit (PELH), which is a mining site, PT Kalimantan Prima Persada, which is a contractor, is involved in the process of coal mining. Coal extraction is being carried out at the Priyamanaya Energi Pit (PELH), which is a mining facility owned and operated by PT Kalimantan Prima Persada, a contractor. An alternate path that goes through this ravine is now available for usage by the Prabumulih Road, which was once used by a significant amount of traffic. According to observations made in the field, certain sections of road do not have the optimal road shape. Starting from the Cross Slope, several sectors are not suitable, whose ideal value is 2-5%, but the actual conditions are only around 1.5 2%, there is no water rope, the road width is not ideal where it has a width of less than 25 meters with an ideal value of 25 meters, and there is no Separator (Median), there is Superelevation with an ideal value of 4% but in actual conditions only around 1.4%. However, some parameters are by the actual, such as grade and safety berm. As a result, the road geometry is not ideal, causing the road conditions to be bad, resulting in the conveyance speed not being achieved.

Abstract

One aspect and factor that is very important in the blasting stage is rock fragmentation, which has a direct impact on drilling costs, blasting costs and operational economics, both loading, transportation and crushing. As time progresses, new technological advances for the application of blasting have developed. This technology is to computerize blast design and predict the results of the explosion, which is rock fragmentation. Many factors influence rock fragmentation, such as the nature of the rock mass, geological location conditions, explosion and fracture parameters present in place, so it is difficult to predict completely. However, empirical models to predict the size distribution of rock fragmentation have been developed. In this study, Monte Carlo simulation as a rock fragmentation simulator based on the Kuz-Ram fragmentation model has been developed to predict fragmentation size distribution. The results obtained from this Monte Carlo simulation can be said to be quite good when compared with the actual data fragmentation obtained from field conditions.

Abstract

Bencana alam adalah bencana yang disebabkan oleh peristiwa alam. Salah satu bencana yang sering kali terjadi di Indonesia khususnya wilayah Kota Padang adalah banjir. Bencana banjir adalah peristiwa atau rangkaian meluapnya air sungai yang disebabkan oleh faktor alamiah akibat rusaknya buffer zone pada kawasan upper DAS (daerah aliran sungai). Data curah hujan di Kota Padang mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2019 hingga tahun 2021 yaitu 2.756,4 menjadi 4.124,2. Hal ini menunjukkan semakin tingginya potensi bencana banjir di wilayah Kota Padang akibat curah hujan yang tinggi. Kajian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dari penelitian yang relevan mengenai bencana banjir. Berdasarkan potensi bahaya banjir kelas tinggi, Kecamatan Koto Tangah merupakan kecamatan yang terluas tingkat bahaya banjirnya yakni 4 546 ha, selanjutnya berdasarkan tingkat bahaya banjir sedang Kacamatan Kuranji merupakan kecamatan yang terluas masuk dalam kategori tingkat bahaya banjir sedang, sedangkan Kecamatan Padang Utara dan Kecamatan Padang Barat. Sedangkan wilayah dengan tingkat bahaya banjir rendah atau bebas banjir di Kota Padang paling luas juga terdapat pada Kecamatan Koto Tangah. Mitigasi bencana yang dilakukan pemerintah Kota Padang adalah identifikasi dan pemetaan zona rawan banjir, sosialisasi mitigasi dan edukasi bencana banjir, mengajak peran serta masyarakat untuk mencegah dan mengatasi banjir, menegakkan aturan tentang pembuangan sampah.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki kekayaan sumber daya alam (SDA) berupa bahan galian yang melimpah, diantaranya emas, perak, tembaga, minyak, gas bumi, batu bara dan lain-lainya . Belakangan ini banyak kegiatan pemanfaatan SDA yang bertentangan dengan asas lingkungan seperti kegiatan pertambangan illegal dengan melakukan usaha pertambangan tanpa didasari dengan kaidah pertambangan yang baik (good mining practice). Sehingga menimbulkan dampak yang merusak dan dapat mengancam kelestarian lingkungan. Pertambangan emas ilegal atau di Indonesia lebih dikenal dengan istilah Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) juga dikenal dengan istilah “artisanal gold mining” beresiko memberikan acaman terhadap masyarakat. Sehingga hukum sangat berperan dalam mengendalikan pertambangan emas tanpa izin agar terjaganya keseimbangan lingkungan di alam. Kajian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan pustaka dari penelitian yang relevan mengenai pertambangan emas tanpa izin. Hasil penelaahan ditemukan kegiatan penambangan emas ilegal berdampak signifikan tidak hanya pada kelestarian ekosistem lingkungan, tetapi juga pada mata pencaharian masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar pertambangan, termasuk risiko kecelakaan, penambangan, dan penyebaran penyakit yang disebabkan oleh pencemaran tanah dan air dengan bahan kimia berbahaya. Untuk mengoptimalkan upaya pemberantasan kegiatan penambangan emas illegal dan menciptakan keadilan bagi masyarakat, maka dapat dilakukan upaya hukum, antara lain dengan memberikan sanksi pidana kepada pihak-pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan penambangan emas ilegal, sesuai dengan ketentuan yang ada dalam peraturan perundang-undangan.

Abstract

Banjir bandang adalah aliran massa sedimen (pasir, kerikil, batu dan air ) dalam satu unit dengan kecepatan tinggi. Terjadi karena keseimbangan statik antara gaya geser yang ditimbulkan oleh aliran lebih besar dari gaya geser massa sedimen yang menahan. Karena massa yang mengalir ini mempunyai percepatan maka ketinggian dan kecepatannya akan selalu bertambah, dan pada tingkat batas tertentu keadaan menjadi tidak stabil sehingga massa sedimen terangkat dengan cepat yang menimbulkan banjir bandang. Data curah hujan di Kota Padang mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2019 hingga tahun 2021 yaitu 2.756,4 menjadi 4.124,2. Hal ini menunjukkan semakin tingginya potensi bencana banjir di wilayah Kota Padang akibat curah hujan yang tinggi. Distribusi spasial inundasi banjir bandang terdapat pada daerah zonasi bahaya tinggi di kawasan sepanjang Batang Kuranji yakni di Kecamatan Koto Tangah, Kecamatan Kuranji, Kecamatan Nanggalo, Kecamatan Padang Utara, dan Kecamatan Pauh. Langkah mitigasi yang dilakukan untuk menanggulangi bencana banjir bandang ini telah dilakukan melalui pembangunan checkdam batu busuk dan melalui normalisasi sungai.

Abstract

Urbanization has significantly increased alongside economic growth and social change, bringing both opportunities and challenges, particularly in environmental and social contexts. This study aims to analyze the environmental and social impacts of urbanization in relation to sustainable development, using a comprehensive literature review of 50 relevant articles published between 2019 and 2024. The analysis focused on two main themes: the environmental and social consequences of urbanization and strategies for achieving sustainability. The results reveal that urbanization contributes positively to economic growth, access to education, and healthcare, but negatively impacts the environment and social equity. Key challenges include pollution, waste generation, climate change, limited affordable housing, and social inequalities. Notable strategies for sustainable urbanization include effective waste management, clean energy adoption, and green city initiatives. Research from Jambi and Serang highlights community involvement in waste reduction and the promotion of renewable energy as vital components for urban sustainability. The study concludes that sustainable urban planning, emphasizing integrated solutions across environmental, economic, and social domains, is crucial for mitigating urbanization's negative impacts. Collaborative efforts among policymakers, local communities, and researchers are essential to create inclusive and resilient cities aligned with sustainable development goals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of AAT on the water quality of the Purian River and its implications for communities that depend on this water source. Acid mine drainage, which is formed due to the oxidation of sulfide minerals, can reduce water quality, potentially affecting the health and economy of the user community. The research methods applied include quantitative and qualitative approaches. The analysis was carried out using a correlation test to measure the relationship between water quality between the point of compliance and the Parambahan River, and the Chi-Square test was used to evaluate the relationship between seasonal mining activities and health problems experienced by respondents. In addition, a survey was conducted to explore local community perceptions regarding the impact of river water. The results of the study indicated mild pollution in several water quality parameters, especially TSS and heavy metals, which exceeded the quality standard limits. Water quality status was measured using the Pollution Index based on PP No. 22 of 2021 and Kepmen LH No. 113 of 2003. The results showed that most samples were classified as mild pollution. Correlation analysis indicated that AAT was not the only factor causing pollution, due to seasonal mining activities and the contribution of water use for livestock farming practices. The conclusion is that waste management carried out by PT. AICJ meets government quality standards, at 66.67%, but respondents still feel negatively affected by mining activities.

Abstract

The mining industry, especially in the crushing plant area, faces serious problems related to noise that can reach more than 85 dB(A). Noise exposure for 8 working hours is at risk of causing temporary or permanent hearing loss (NIHL), which is a common occupational disease found in crushing plant workers. The type of research used in this study is descriptive analytical with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by measuring noise levels in the Crushing Plant area and distributing questionnaires to obtain data on the hearing health of mining workers. The location of this study was at CV. Tekad Jaya. The results of the noise level study at CV. Tekad Jaya showed an alarming situation, where 50% of the 14 measurement points exceeded the threshold of 85 dB, with a peak of 96.86 dB at point Std 10. The health impacts were clearly visible with 46.2% of workers experiencing headaches and 61.5% having difficulty communicating, even though the majority had used PPE. The combination of distance and vegetation has proven effective in reducing noise up to 76 dBA at a distance of 95 meters. The metal plate enclosure system showed positive results, reducing noise levels to 83 dBA inside and 67 dBA outside the building. Recommended control strategies include a zoning system with double protection, worker rotation, and health monitoring for areas >85 dBA, and a preventive approach for zones <85 dBA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan sumber daya bahan galian tambang pasir dan kerikil di Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan fokus pada dampak lingkungan serta upaya pengelolaan berkelanjutan. Kajian dilakukan melalui studi literatur dari berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan, dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi pengelolaan, dampak ekologis, serta strategi mitigasi yang diterapkan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas penambangan pasir dan kerikil di wilayah tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan degradasi lahan, sedimentasi sungai, pencemaran air, dan gangguan ekosistem jika tidak dikelola secara optimal. Upaya pengelolaan yang meliputi penerapan regulasi, rehabilitasi lahan pasca-tambang, pengawasan lingkungan, serta pelibatan masyarakat lokal terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan prinsip pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan dan kolaboratif untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara pemanfaatan bahan galian dan kelestarian lingkungan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah organik di lingkungan sekolah menjadi bagian penting dalam upaya membangun kesadaran lingkungan dan penerapan prinsip berkelanjutan sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur (literature review) dengan menelaah sejumlah artikel ilmiah terbitan lima tahun terakhir yang relevan, baik dari jurnal nasional terakreditasi (SINTA) maupun jurnal internasional bereputasi (Scopus). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa edukasi lingkungan yang diintegrasikan ke dalam kegiatan belajar, seperti pelatihan komposting dan budidaya maggot, dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah. Di sisi lain, penerapan ekonomi sirkular di sekolah turut mendukung terciptanya sistem pengelolaan sampah yang produktif dan berkelanjutan. Keberhasilan program ini bergantung pada keterlibatan aktif seluruh elemen sekolah, pendekatan kontekstual, serta dukungan kebijakan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, strategi pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis edukasi dan ekonomi sirkular dapat menjadi model pembelajaran lingkungan yang efektif dan aplikatif di tingkat pendidikan dasar dan menengah.
