Abstract

This research aims to determine the daily dynamics of water quality in tilapia cultivation ponds at the West Koya Local Fish Seed Center (BBIL), Muara Tami District, Jayapura City. This research used two earthen ponds with a size of 25 x 50 m, and a water depth of 30-50 cm, a water volume of 100 L in one pond. Tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus) with an average length of 20 cm and weight of 243 grams were used in this study. Feed at a rate of 3% of fish biomass is given three times a day. The water quality parameters observed in this study were water temperature measured using a digital thermometer, dissolved oxygen using a DO meter DO 30N, water acidity using a pH meter, pH-240L, SERA aqua-test kit used to measure ammonia and nitrate. This research shows that the water quality parameters observed are normal according to the needs of tilapia fish. So it can be concluded that the water quality in the tilapia rearing pond at the West Koya Local Fish Seed Center (BBIL), Muara Tami District, Jayapura City is controlled and suitable for the growth and survival of the tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) being cultivated.

Abstract

Diversifikasi Olahan Ikan merupakan motivasi baru untuk memperkenalkan kepada masyarakat bahwa ikan yang biasanya dikonsumsi dalam bentuk digoreng, dibakar atau dimasak dalam keadaan utuh dapat dibuat makanan yang lebih menarik dan tetap bergizi yang dapat dikonsumsi mulai dari anak-anak, dewasa, sampai usia lanjut. Beberapa produk diversifikasi hasil perikanan antara lain: bakso ikan, nugget ikan, abon ikan, dan sosis ikan. Kampung Tablasupa Terletak di Distrik Depapre Kabupaten Jayapura, Provinsi Papua. Kampung Tablasupa termasuk kampung yang cukup berkembang di Kabupaten Jayapura dibandingkan dengan kampung-kampung lain. Kampung Tablasupa memiliki Industri Rumah Tangga Pangan (IRTP) yang di kerjakan oleh ibu-ibu dalam kelompok usaha. Usaha yang di jalankan adalah usaha diversifikasi produk ikan seperti nugget ikan. Usaha ini sudah di kembangkan sejak kurang lebih dua tahun. Dalam menjalankan produksi kelompok ibu-ibu IRTP Kampung Tablasupa masih menggunakan sarana prasana sederhana. Hal ini dapat memberikan dampak bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Sanitasi dan Hygiene pada Pengolahan Nugget Ikan Industri Rumah Tangga (IRT) di Kampung Tablasupa Distrik Depapre, Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara terhadap ibu-ibu pelaku usaha menggunakan angket dan pengamatan langsung proses pembuatan nugget ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usaha nugget ikan ini masih dalam skala industri rumah tangga yang pengolahannya dilakukan sendiri oleh ibu-ibu dalam kelompok usaha. Industri ini masih sederhana dan pengolahan nugget ikan yang dilakukan masih belum memenuhi standar karena tidak di dukung dengan sarana prasarana yang baik, seperti lokasi dan lingkungan yang sesuai, gedung yang permanen, ketersedian air bersih yang cukup, dan kesehatan para karyawan. Sehingga usaha yang dilakukan ini belum memenuhi standar sanitasi dan higiene baik dari segi sarana prasarana dan karyawan atau pekerja.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the microbiological quality of smoked fish at the processing center in Jayapura City, Papua. 100 kilograms of smoked fish were tested, samples were taken from producers, distributors, and retailers at three distribution levels. Microbiological tests included identification of Salmonella sp. bacteria and Total Plate Count (TPS) tests. The results of the study were conducted using ANOVA and DMRT further tests at a significance level of 95%. The average TPS value at all distribution levels ranged between 3.379 and 3.509 log cfu/g, which is still within the safe limit for consumption (p>0.05). Each sample tested did not show any Salmonella sp. contamination. This study shows that smoked fish products in Jayapura City are microbiologically safe, but care during distribution needs to be improved, especially in terms of packaging and cleanliness, so that the product continues to satisfy consumers. Consumers can be more satisfied and shelf life can be extended with better hygiene, packaging, and better distribution chain management. The results of this study provide important insights for producers, consumers, and related parties about the quality of Jayapura smoked fish. This information can be used as a basis for fisheries policy and product quality improvement.

Abstract

This study provides an overview that social media, especially Instagram, has great potential as a means of persuasive communication in drug prevention campaigns. The strategy for preventing drug abuse is carried out by the Papua Province National Narcotics Agency through the Instagram platform. Messages about the dangers and impacts of drugs are conveyed through images and videos uploaded to Instagram accounts. This study looks at the input aspects in the theory of persuasive communication, namely the content of the message, the purpose of the message, and the characteristics of the message in the Instagram posts of the Papua Province National Narcotics Agency. The posts analyzed were image posts containing drug prevention messages. The image posts selected from January to March 2025 totaled 18 images. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The results of the study found that the composition of the message content of the post consisted of three, namely, fear appeal, emotional appeal and motivational appeal. The purpose of the message conveyed is education, providing information and influencing. The targets depicted in the Instagram posts of the Papua Province National Narcotics Agency are teenagers, considering that teenagers are the age group that is most involved in drug abuse according to data from the Papua Province National Narcotics Agency.
