Abstract

The use of learning media is a necessity for teachers in Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) areas, however, the lack of knowledge and skills in making learning media is an important problem. Therefore, a teacher needs to produce learning media that is interesting, easy, and motivates students to learn so that there is an increase in learning outcomes. The purpose of this community service is that teachers can add skill and insight into making Pop-Up Book products. The method used is Community Based Research (CBR) which is carried out in the form of socialization activities about Pop-Up Book and accompanied by demonstrations or pilot demonstrations or pilots to produce Pop-Up Book products. The result of this PKM activity is that the teacher produces a Pop-Up Book and provides an assessment of the usefulness of PKM activities, which is very useful. The result obtained can be concluded that the result of the service is very useful for Christian Religious Education teachers. The hope in this activity is that this PKM activity will continue to be carried out to assist teachers in developing useful development products in learning activities.

Abstract

Marriage in this century is arguably using the norm of romantic love. However, in the same century, a civilization performs a marriage with the term kawin tangkap which is quite viral on social media. This study aims to describe the perceptions of the people of Central Sumba who witnessed the reality of catch marriageusing three indicators of perception, namely knowledge, opinion and judgment as well as Talcott Parson's system theory. To dissect the factors behind this practice, Talcott Parson's theory of social action is used. The method used is qualitative method. The results of the study found that the community's perception is that the community knows exactly the process of the catch marriage tradition; the catch marriage tradition has shifted in meaning and practice, and considers that this catch marriage practice can be done if it is the path and in accordance with the actual tradition and should not be done if it is not in accordance with the tridasis. Meanwhile, the factors that cause this tradition to last are belis, debt and credit, the long customary marriage process and maintaining the line of descent.

Abstract

Penyusunan bahan ajar menjadi tanggung jawab guru untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran yang efektif di kelas. Sumba Timur adalah salah satu kabupaten di Nusa Tenggara Timur yang guru-gurunya membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam penyusunan bahan ajar. Tujuan diadakannya pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memperlengkapi para guru dengan pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang memadai dalam mekanisme dan teknis penyusunan bahan ajar yang benar. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan pemahaman para guru mengenai prosedur penyusunan bahan ajar dan terbentuknya kelompok-kelompok kecil guru yang terus berproses dalam menyusun bahan ajar. Kegiatan ini perlu terus dilakukan untuk menjangkau daerah-daerah lain di Nusa Tenggara Timur sehingga kualitas pendidikan yang diimpikan dapat terwujud. Kata Kunci: penyusunan bahan ajar, pelatihan, pendampingan Designing instructional materials has become the responsibility of teachers in order to provide an effective learning process in the classroom. East Sumba is one of the regencies in East Nusa Tenggara Province whose teachers need to be trained and assisted in designing instructional materials. This community service aimed to equip teachers with adequate knowledge and understanding of instructional materials design. There are three phases: preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The pre-test and post-test results showed that the teachers' understanding increased. Apart from it, there are groups formed to design the instructional materials. To achieve educational quality, this community service should be conducted widely in the East Nusa Tenggara Province.   Keyword: instructional materials, training, assistance.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum emphasizes the importance of authentic assessment to measure students' learning achievement. One form of authentic assessment that can be used to measure HOTS abilities is a HOTS-based instrument. Teachers at Enonekmese State Middle School have so far had difficulty in compiling HOTS-based instruments. This training is expected to increase teachers' insight into the rules and how to compile HOTS-based assessment instruments. There are three stages carried out in this training activity, namely: 1. Planning. At this stage, the activity implementer contacts the training presenter, determines the location of the activity and prepares all activity needs. 2. Implementation. At this stage, the training activity is carried out for one day by presenting 2 speakers. 3. Evaluation. After the activity is completed, an evaluation is then held to see the achievement of the activities that have been carried out. This PkM activity was carried out in two sessions with different forms. Participants were given an understanding of the independent learning curriculum and received training and assistance in preparing HOTS-based evaluation instruments. This training provides a significant contribution to teachers in gaining a number of knowledge and competencies related to the independent learning curriculum and the preparation of HOTS-based evaluation instruments.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di desa Tesbatan, Kec. Amarasi. Tujuan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam rangka penguatan moderasi beragama berbasis dialog aksi. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan “Focus Group Discussion”. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang moderasi dan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Adanya respon positif yang ditunjukan dengan kesediaan masyarakat untuk menjadi agen penyebar nilai-nilai moderasi beragama.Meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam rangka penguatan moderasi beragama.Adanya keterbukaan mengenai pengalaman hidup berdampingan antar agama di desa Tesbatan.

Abstract

Rapid social changes have posed significant challenges for Christian youth in Alor Regency, particularly in finding their identity, dealing with the influence of social media, and facing a decline in spiritual values. In this context, Christian Religious Education (CRE) plays an important role as a pillar of hope that strengthens faith and shapes the character of youth to live based on love, faith, and hope. This community service activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Awalah, Alor, involving 65 tenth-grade students.This program aims to strengthen the faith identity of Christian youth, foster spiritual awareness, develop character grounded in love, faith, and hope, and equip them with relevant and contextual life strategies amid the dynamics of social change. The method used was an interactive seminar employing a reflective and participatory approach through presentations and discussions. This model encouraged active student participation, raised faith awareness, and reinforced Christian values in everyday life practices.The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of Christian faith identity and the urgency of character formation rooted in love, faith, and hope. Through reflective processes and participatory discussions, students became more aware of the role of faith in addressing social and moral challenges in their environment. The activity was carried out effectively and successfully built a deeper understanding of the importance of Christian Religious Education as a pillar of hope in shaping the character of Christian youth with integrity and resilience in facing social change. More broadly, this program contributes to national development efforts through the formation of a young generation that is faithful, of strong character, and full of integrity in navigating the currents of social transformation.
