Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual (SAVI) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar dan menciptakan model pengajaran SAVI yang efisien. Penggunaan media audiovisual diharapkan memperlancar proses pengajaran, mendorong komponen pendengaran dan visual, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas VI SDN 6 Nagri Kaler di Kecamatan Purwakarta, Kabupaten Purwakarta.Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes dan non-tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai siswa dari 55 pada pretest menjadi 75 pada posttest. Uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dengan signifikansi 0,222. Uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001, sehingga kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI lebih baik dibandingkan sebelumnya. Uji regresi linear menunjukkan model pembelajaran SAVI dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran IPS materi ASEAN dengan nilai F hitung 21,371 dan signifikansi 0,000. Nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,694 dan R square sebesar 0,482 menunjukkan model SAVI mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 48,2%. Nilai N-Gain rata-rata sebesar 0,43 menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam kategori sedang.Penerapan model SAVI dalam pendidikan menawarkan pendekatan komprehensif dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran. Guru perlu dilatih untuk mengimplementasikan model ini secara efektif dan terus mengevaluasi dampaknya untuk perbaikan berkelanjutan.Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual (SAVI) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in social studies education at the elementary school level and to develop an efficient SAVI teaching model. The use of audiovisual media is expected to facilitate the teaching process, encourage auditory and visual components, and create an enjoyable learning environment. This research employs a quantitative method with a pre-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample consists of 28 sixth-grade students from SDN 6 Nagri Kaler in Purwakarta District, Purwakarta Regency. Research instruments include tests and non-tests. The results indicate an increase in the average student score from 55 on the pretest to 75 on the posttest. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z normality test shows the data is normally distributed with a significance of 0.222. The t-test shows a significance value of 0.001, indicating that students' critical thinking skills are significantly better after using the SAVI learning model. The linear regression test indicates that the SAVI learning model can be used to improve critical thinking skills in social studies on ASEAN material, with an F value of 21.371 and a significance of 0.000. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.694 and an R square of 0.482 show that the SAVI model affects critical thinking skills by 48.2%. The average N-Gain value of 0.43 indicates an improvement in critical thinking skills in the medium category. The implementation of the SAVI model in education offers a comprehensive and effective approach to enhancing learning. Teachers need to be trained to implement this model effectively and continuously evaluate its impact for ongoing improvement.

Abstract

Social skills abilities in society are very necessary to prepare good and educated citizens. Social skills need to be developed in learning through models, methods, approaches or learning techniques, especially in social studies learning. To determine the influence of the Community Component Contextual Teaching and Learning model in efforts to improve social skills abilities, as well as determine the increase in the final score of students' social skills abilities, the researchers used a quasi experiment (quasi experiment). The subjects in this study consisted of 48 fifth grade elementary school students. The results of data analysis show that the influence of the CTL model on students' social skills is 49.6%. The results of the n-gain t test obtained a sig value of 0.000, so H0 rejected so it can be concluded that the increase in social skills abilities of students who receive CTL model learning is better than students who receive conventional learning. Abstract

Prospective elementary school teachers should not only master knowledge of content material, techniques for creating a work, and proficiency in practical skills. But also how to communicate them effectively and be able to have excellent scientific presentation skills. This is because they will become teachers who must have good scientific presentation skills. There are several aims to conduct this research such as analyzing prospective elementary school teachers’ scientific presentation skills through STEM instructional environment, determining the current levels of scientific presentation skills among prospective elementary school teachers per each indicator, and how STEM approach as an instructional environment is applied in the classroom. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, and the result for scientific presentation skills in total mostly prospective elementary school teachers in a high-level category. The current level is mostly high for how STEM practicums are created and how to use teaching media, the rest of the indicators (content mastery, language style, physical, verbal, vocal expression, timeliness, and confidence) in the medium-level category for scientific presentation skills. STEM can be one of the instructional environments to train the scientific presentation skills of prospective elementary schools. The summary of this research, the scientific presentation skills of prospective elementary school teachers are at a high level for the category through STEM instructional environment. Abstract

Local Wisdom is a valuable unit of human achievement that reflects high historical, artistic and cultural values ??towards the identity of a society. This is a great capital for the formation of noble character. The strengthening local wisdom is considered important so that existing local wisdom does not simply erode. This research aims to analyze the local wisdom that exists in the Baduy tribe community, Kenekes Village, Banten as strengthening character education and exploring the key role of education in the socio-cultural realm in maintaining local wisdom. A qualitative approach was deemed suitable for use in this research. The result shows that Baduy tribe is a unique group of Indonesian people and has characteristics that are different from other tribes. The Baduy people are a society that is obedient and obedient in carrying out the mandate of their ancestors, their daily life is very strong with various applications of customary law which instructs them to always maintain and protect nature by not changing or destroying it. Instilling local wisdom inherently through education is a movement back to the basis of regional cultural values as part of efforts to build national identity and as a kind of filter in selecting other cultural influences. Abstract

The background of this research is due to the low learning outcomes of the students of the V grade of SD Negeri Kamojing I due to lack of use of learning media, so that the students are less active. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the visual learning visual media pop-up book in learning and to find out the impact of the use of visual media pop-up book in improving the learning outcomes of Social Science in students of grade V in SD Negeri Kamojing I. The research method used in this research is class action research which consists of 2 cycles with measures including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of the research, the application of the visual media pop-up book implemented using the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and the learning outcomes of students of grade V SD Negeri Kamojing I improved, in cycle I the average grade score was 66.4 and in the cycle II was 83.5. The improvement in learning outcome obtained in the Cycle II of the cycles I was 17.1. It shows that after given action using visual media pop-up book can improve the learning results of IPS students of grade V SD Negeri Kamojing I, Kecamatan Cikampek, Kabupaten Karawang.   Keywords: learning outcomes, pop-up book, social science, visual media

Abstract

Learning outcomes are very important to improve in the learning process, this is to measure students' abilities during learning. The low learning outcomes of elementary school students are the background for this research. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by PhET simulation media on student learning outcomes and to determine the increase in student learning outcomes using the jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by PhET simulation media compared to using the STAD type cooperative model. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design with a total of 62 students as subjects. The instruments used are learning outcomes test instruments and documentation. The results of data analysis show that the effect of the jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by PhET simulation media on student learning outcomes was 54.4%. The results of the n-gain test in the experimental class which used the jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by PhET simulation media was 0.5553 while the control class used the cooperative type model. STAD is 0.3298, which means that students who receive science learning using the jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by PhET simulation media are better than students who receive STAD type cooperative learning. The researcher recommends that future researchers focus on learning outcomes, especially on cognitive aspects.   Keywords: jigsaw type cooperative model, PhET simulation media, student learning outcomes

Abstract

The learning process is a series of prepared or designed processes to teach students, implemented, and systematically assessed to achieve learning goals productively and optimally. Therefore, the learning process conducted should be optimal. This research utilizes a quasi-method with a non-equivalent control group design. In this design, the participants are divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Based on the descriptive test results, differences were found in the posttest results between the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, after conducting the N-Gain test, it was found that the learning outcomes of the experimental group were better compared to the learning outcomes of the control group, which received conventional learning. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas upaya sosialisasi mengenai konsep Zero Food Waste melalui penggunaan pot komposter kepada wali murid SDN 2 Sindangkasih, sebagai langkah konkret dalam mengurangi sampah rumah tangga. Dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini, wali murid diberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya pengelolaan sampah organik melalui komposting, serta manfaatnya bagi lingkungan dan pengurangan timbulan sampah. Pot komposter sebagai alat praktis dan efisien diperkenalkan untuk memudahkan proses pengomposan sampah rumah tangga, khususnya sampah organik. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dengan penyampaian materi dan demonstrasi pembuatan komposter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan wali murid mengenai pentingnya pengomposan dan manfaat kompos. Diharapkan, dengan adanya sosialisasi ini, wali murid dapat menerapkan teknik komposting di rumah masing-masing, yang akan mendukung program pengurangan sampah di tingkat rumah tangga dan menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan sehat. Artikel ini juga mengulas tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi serta dampak positif yang diharapkan dari upaya tersebut dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Masalah pengelolaan sampah makanan merupakan isu global yang memiliki dampak lingkungan yang signifikan. Kurangnya kesadaran pengelolaan sampah organik di kalangan masyarakat umum, khususnya generasi muda, merupakan sebuah tantangan besar yang perlu segera diatasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman dalam pengelolaan sampah makanan pada siswa kelas 4 di SDN 2 Sindangkasih melalui kegiatan sosialisasi pot komposter. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pemberian materi edukasi, demonstrasi langsung dalam pembuatan pot komposter, serta pendampingan praktik oleh siswa. Pendekatan interaktif ini sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah organik. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih terampil dalam memanfaatkan pot komposter untuk mengubah limbah makanan menjadi kompos yang bermanfaat bagi tanaman. Sosialisasi berbasis praktik langsung dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pengelolaan sampah sejak usia dini. Penerapan program ini diharapkan dapat mendorong sekolah lain untuk menerapkan langkah serupa dalam mengedepankan kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of gamification learning model on improving students' critical thinking skills in Natural and Social Sciences (NSP) subjects in elementary schools. The research method used was pre-experiment with pretest-posttest research design. The research sample used one class as an experimental group that used the gamification learning model. The research instrument used to measure students' critical thinking skills is a validated critical thinking test. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills in the experimental group. This finding indicates that the application of gamification learning model can effectively improve students' critical thinking skills in IPAS learning in elementary school. Therefore, the use of gamification in the learning process is suggested as one of the strategies to improve the quality of education and students' critical thinking skills.
