Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Liveworksheets-based learning media on the science learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students regarding the topic of the Life Cycle of Living Organisms. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 23 third-grade students from SD N Prengguk II as the experimental class and 23 students from SD N 1 Kadibolo as the control class. Data collection techniques included observation, pre-test and post-test assessments, and documentation. Data analysis involved validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests, as well as an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that the use of Liveworksheets-based learning media significantly influences the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD N Prengguk II. This is evidenced by the t-test results, which show that the calculated t-value of 4.321 is greater than the critical t-value of 2.018, indicating a significant effect following the implementation of Liveworksheets, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). This significant effect is evident in the increased active engagement

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the deep learning approach on the learning motivation of third-grade students in the IPAS subject at Sapen Public Elementary School. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 21 students. The data collection techniques used included observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instrument consisted of a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The validity test results showed a percentage of 92% in the “highly valid” category, while the reliability test yielded a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.867, indicating that the instrument is reliable. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 27, involving normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing via the independent samples t-test. The results of the normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.683 for the experimental class and 0.261 for the control class. The results of the homogeneity test showed a significance value of 0.364 > 0.05, so the data were declared homogeneous. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The results of the study indicate that the deep learning approach has a positive impact on students’ motivation to learn. Students become more active, enthusiastic, and engaged in the IPAS learning process. Thus, the deep learning approach can be used as an effective alternative teaching method to enhance the motivation of elementary school students to learn.

Abstract

The ability to interpret pictographs is an essential component of data literacy that should be developed from the elementary school level, as it enables students to understand, compare, and process data presented in visual form. However, classroom observations in Grade II at SDN 4 Bareng Lor indicated that many students experienced difficulties in interpreting, comparing, and processing data from pictographs and lacked confidence in learning mathematics. This study aimed to describe the implementation of a growth-mindset-based formative assessment and to improve the pictograph interpretation skills of Grade II students at SDN 4 Bareng Lor. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart Classroom Action Research (CAR) model, which was conducted in two cycles. The participants consisted of 34 second-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through classroom observation, formative assessment, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques, complemented by Normalized Gain (N-Gain) analysis. The findings revealed that the growth-mindset-based formative assessment was implemented through group discussions, student presentations, feedback, and learning reflection. The implementation of this assessment significantly improved students' pictograph interpretation skills across all indicators. Students' ability to interpret pictographs increased from 72.06% to 90.44% (N-Gain = 0.66, medium category), their ability to compare data improved from 70.65% to 87.26% (N-Gain = 0.57, medium category), and their ability to process data increased from 55.94% to 88.26% (N-Gain = 0.73, high category). By the end of the second cycle, all indicators had achieved a mastery level exceeding 80%. Therefore, growth-mindset-based formative assessment was effective in improving the pictograph interpretation skills of Grade II students at SDN 4 Bareng Lor.

Abstract

Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar dan Keterampilan Menyimak Melalui Model Pembelajaran SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) dalam Mengidentifikasi Unsur Intrinsik Cerita pada Siswa Kelas VI B SD Negeri Mojosongo 5 Kota Surakarta Tahun 2025/2026. Master Program of Language Education. Widya Dharma University Klaten, 2026. The problems of this research were: 1) Can the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model improve the learning motivation of sixth grade students at SD Negeri Mojosongo 5 Surakarta?; 2) Can the SAVI learning model improve students’ listening skills in identifying the intrinsic elements of stories? The objectives of this research were: 1) To determine the improvement of students’ learning motivation through the implementation of the SAVI learning model; 2) To determine the improvement of students’ listening skills in identifying the intrinsic elements of stories through the implementation of the SAVI learning model for sixth grade students of SD Negeri Mojosongo 5 Surakarta in the academic year 2025/2026. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 28 students of class VI B at SD Negeri Mojosongo 5 Surakarta. The data were collected through observation, tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted to determine the extent to which the implementation of the SAVI learning model assisted by folklore videos could improve students’ learning motivation and listening skills in identifying the intrinsic elements of stories. The results of the research showed that the implementation of the SAVI learning model was able to improve students’ learning motivation and listening skills. Students’ learning motivation increased from 40% in the pre-cycle to 71% in cycle I and increased to 88% in cycle II. The average score of students’ listening skills increased from 72 in the pre-cycle to 79 in cycle I and increased to 88 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completeness also increased from 35.7% in the pre-cycle to 85.7% in cycle I and reached 100% in cycle II. The SAVI learning model is very appropriate to be applied in Indonesian language learning because it involves students’ physical activities, auditory, visual observation, and intellectual activities in an integrated manner, making the learning process more active and meaningful.
