Abstract

This study aims to design a digital information medium in the form of an e-magazine that serves to document and promote the potential of Saporkren Village in Raja Ampat Regency more broadly and attractively. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis stage was conducted to identify information needs, target audiences, content to be presented, and analysis of similar media. The results indicated that Saporkren Village requires a digital medium capable of systematically showcasing its marine tourism, cultural, culinary, and village profile potentials. The design stage produced an e-magazine structure consisting of a cover, introduction, table of contents, main content, and closing section. During the development stage, the product was evaluated by practitioners experienced in tourism and digital media design, resulting in feasibility percentages of 87.5% (very good category) and 71.4% (good category), respectively. Subsequently, a trial was conducted involving 35 respondents who met the criteria of never having visited Saporkren Village, aged 17–35 years, with a minimum education level of senior high school (or equivalent), and familiar with internet and digital media use. The trial results showed an average percentage score of 95.71%, categorized as very good. Based on the assessments from practitioners and trial participants, the e-magazine was declared feasible to be used as a digital information medium for Saporkren Village. This medium is expected to serve as a reference for local managers in developing digital information content and for the Raja Ampat Tourism Office in creating similar media as part of the digitalization efforts for other tourism villages.

Method: The method used in this research uses a mix method between qualitative and quantitative. The data collected using the survey method by distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Respondents are 30 people who have shopped for souvenirs in Pangandaran. Primary data obtained through the survey method is then processed using the SPSS analysis tool using variable and hypothesis test analysis techniques, validity and reliability tests, T tests, and finally the determination coefficient test. Result: Based on the data that has been processed using the SPSS software analysis tool with the T test analysis technique, it results that the hypothesis of natural and cultural beauty variables has significance to the need for souvenir design in Pangandaran because the Sig value. <0.05, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, while the variable pangandaran writing, simple design, and bright colors are not significant to the need for souvenir design in pangandaran because the Sig value> 0.05 which means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. In the coefficient of determination test, the correlation coefficient value is 0.769, indicating that the interpretation of the value is within the numbers 0.5 to 0.75. It can be concluded that the souvenir design variable has a strong relationship with souvenir design needs in Pangandaran. Contribution: This research is expected to be a reference for research that will be conducted in the tourism industry, especially on consumer preferences and contribute to the development of the local tourism industry by providing souvenir products that are unique and oriented to the needs of tourists.

Abstract

Purpose: The tourism industry requires the use of digital media in promotion, particularly due to travelers’ increasing reliance on technology. Anjani Event, as a newly established travel company, still uses PDFs as promotional media, making it necessary to implement an interactive and easily accessible solution. This study aims to design an e-catalogue as a marketing medium for tour packages and to evaluate their effectiveness. Method: The research employs a mixed-method approach with an Exploratory Sequential design, beginning with qualitative data collection through interviews with the Anjani Event manager to develop the e-catalogue concept, followed by quantitative data collection using questionnaires based on the EPIC Model (Empathy, Persuasion, Impact, Communication) administered to prospective tourists and digital marketing practitioners. Result: The results show that the e-catalogue are highly effective with an EPIC rate of 4.30, with the Communication dimension scoring the highest (4.399), indicating that the media conveys information clearly, presents content in an easily understandable structure, and enhances user interaction and engagement in exploring and booking tour packages. Contribution: Therefore, the implementation of the e-catalogue and QR Code supports a digital marketing strategy that is informative, interactive, professional, and strengthens the company’s brand image in the tourism industry.
